Cottage Refuge at Lake Turano in the mountains

Fairytale setting, breathtaking views from the windows and garden. The weather is mild all year round because the house has a great exposure with lake and mountain views. It is not isolated, but you need the car to go to the nearest towns (2 or 5km) for trattorias and various resale. It's all inexpensive and extremely authentic and delicious. Nearby you can eat local fish and raised meat outdoors, as you can see along the way to the house. The house is charming and has a fireplace and a light burner that can be lit at night for many months of the year and create a fairytale atmosphere. You can sleep on the sofa bed in front of the fireplace. The garden is equipped with a barbecue and is a large table for outdoor dining outdoors in a tree or to enjoy the sun. There are comfortable sun loungers and chairs for the garden, but also some lawn to lay out in the sun beautifully in a costume and cool off with an outdoor shower. Nearby are Castel di Tora Colle di Tora and Rocca Sinibalda. The area offers hunting, truffle hunting, and mushroom hunting. Below the house passes the path of the San Benedetto road that is walked by, especially foreign tourists. There are hiking trails in the mountains in the area because the house is located in the natural reserve of Mount Navelli.

Il Riparo between the two towers

The house is located next to one of the "seven sports", historic entrance doors to the historic center of Castel Del Monte, nestled between the two towers on the east side of the village. It is small and cozy, easily reachable with a short staircase taking via Giuseppe Verdi and then turning under the arch on the right. The position on the east side makes it very bright,even in winter, with a view that ranges from the crest of Capo la Serra to the northeast, and the Majella mountains to the southeast.

The house among olive trees

A cottage made up of stone and timber built on two storeys, with a large living room, glass window, a couch for two people and a bathroom with sauna; on the second storey there is a double bedroom. Outdoors, there is a large garden with a porch equipped with BBQ and a wooden table. The site is located on the pleasant hills between Bellegra and Olevano Romano. We have currently added two beds, set up in a wonderful Indian teepe available for two extra guests in addition to the four ones.
