The location on the outskirts of the district town of Meschede also ensures close proximity to the most popular winter sports areas of the Sauerland. The forest and the golf course (with public restaurant) are 2 minutes by foot. The Ruhr Valley Cycle Trail leads through Neheim-Hüsten, making it ideally suited for cyclists as a stopover. There is a lot to explore by car within half an hour, such as the Sorpe and Möhnetal dams, the old town of Arnsberg and also the historic town of Soest.
