The Wind Mill

Beautifully located in hills overlooking the Atlantic Ocean sits the Marinhas windmill. The windmill dates from the year 1758 and was built in the traditional northern Portuguese style with circular walls, two floors, an entrance on the grown floor and two windows on the upper floor. It is classified as a municipal heritage building. The mill is 130 meters above sea level thus providing a breathtaking view over the towns and ocean and a unique retreat for the more adventurous guest.

Relax in this unique and peaceful getaway, 1.8km from Porto city centre, next to the Douro River and the Port Wine cellars. You can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city, rest and relax in the woods. You can walk along the river to the port, you can walk around the house grounds in a small private forest, where you can have a picnic. From 19 Mai 2025, there will also be a small kitchen, with dining space, next to the bedroom, so that they can cook and/or make breakfast.

Chalé do Rio is located in the Serra da Cabreira, with unobstructed views of the Serra do Gerês. The house is ideal for couples with children and for 4-legged friends. Equipped with large windows that bring it great brightness, a spacious terrace for outdoor dining and a private saltwater pool (closed from November 1 to April 14) This cottage has a large fully equipped kitchen. A quiet place where you can enjoy the mountain views.
