Around the lake you can experience untouched nature. The Elster Cycle Trail connects Saxony and Thuringia along the reservoir dam. The town of Elsterberg with all shopping can be reached in 3 minutes driving.

Due to the convenient location to the A9 and A72, excursion destinations are easily accessible. Ideal starting point for destinations in Northeast Bavaria, Southeast Thuringia and impressions on the former German/German border. We are also happy about guests in transit, hikers and cyclists. Our hostel Fuchs und Hase is located in Oberjugel, a scattered settlement belonging to Johanngeorgenstadt, directly on the border with the Czech Republic. At an altitude of 850 m, pure nature, tranquility, unadulterated mountain meadows and many hiking and cycling trails await you. In winter, the Jugelloipe starts right behind the house with connection to the Kammloipe and Czech ski highway. Several ski slopes can be reached quickly by car. We are happy to provide tips.

Our German-American family would be so pleased to invite you into our home. Our charming, 200-year-old guest house is just a few minutes away from the historic town of Weimar. Home to Goethe and Schiller, Bauhaus and rich with culture, there is so much to see and do in this area. We have lovingly renovated our little cottage, framed by roses and furnished with antiques, melding the old-world with a touch of the modern. We hope that each of our guests feels at home.

The bright and cozy apartment is located in a large garden in the district of Taubach, idyllically located on the Ilm, 5 km from the city center in Weimar. A separate entrance leads to the kitchen-living room, a large living/sleeping room and the bathroom. A sliding door can be closed to the kitchen-living room. The garden can be fully used. Various seats invite you to relax. There are two beautiful bike paths to Weimar as well as an hourly bus connection.

Adventure?! Tinyhouse-style cabin for a cozy getaway in the Vogtland. The cottage has a small bathroom with underfloor heating, shower, toilet and a sink. The sleeping area for two people can be reached by a comfortable ladder staircase. There is a small wood-burning stove that heats the cottage, is used as a stove and spreads cosiness. Direct parking on the property. There is another hut on the property, which also occasionally accommodates guests.
