The lifts are approx. 300 meters from the house, and back you can almost ski to the house. The cross-country ski trail runs 20 meters below the house. There are three restaurants within walking distance. A paved parking space is located directly at the house, one parking space per house is available free of charge in the underground parking lot.

Our homey mountain retreat used to be my grandparents' place and has been completely renovated just recently. We wanted to preserve the snug and cosy traditional atmosphere with a combination of traditional furniture and a more modern almost minimalistic kind of interior. We kept parts of the traditional furniture and a beautiful collection of my granddad's handcarved portraits on the ground floor and combined it with bright wood and white on the first floor to leaven the atmosphere.

Chalet Katharina is located directly on the snow-covered Pengelstein valley run to the Pengelstein I gondola lift. The slope runs just a few meters past the chalet, and the access and exit to the slope are groomed daily, allowing for easy ski-in and ski-out in winter.
