Opened in August 2020, Onomachi Yard is a one-group-per-day inn located in a renovated 120-year-old white-walled storehouse in the heart of Hida Furukawa. For those who want to enjoy Hida leisurely, for those who want to spend a quiet time, as well as those who want to stretch their legs a little further to Hida Takayama, the World Heritage Shirakawa-go, Okuhida Onsen, Shinhotaka Ropeway, Kanoka-cho, where the world's largest underground neutrino observatory Super Kamiokande is located, and the activity "Gattango!!" that combines cycling and the abandoned railway.etc., please enjoy your favorite style based on Onomachi Yard. Located in the heart of Takayama City, Sumomo is in a good location, a 7-minute walk from the station, a 4-minute walk to the old townscape, and a 3-minute walk to the morning market. The characteristic is the overwhelming living room openness of 70 m ². The floor is on the second floor, but the room is step-free and handicap accessible. You can choose the bedroom with 2 Western-style rooms and 1 Japanese-style room with tatami mats. Breakfast is delivered every morning between 7-8am. There is a supermarket nearby, so you can buy ingredients and do some serious cooking in the full kitchen. There is a private parking lot under the building, and there is no worry about snow even in the winter.

From the nearest interchange, it's less than a 5-minute drive, but we recommend taking the local roads while enjoying views of the mountain-ringed Gokayama. Even if you don't have a car, you can get off at Shin-Takaoka Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, take the World Heritage Bus, and get off at the nearest bus stop while enjoying the mountain views from the window. Essai is just a two-minute walk away.
