This is a private lodging [Kokoro in the middle of the lake]. It will be a private house for one group per day, where you can feel the rich nature of Shiga Prefecture and enjoy rural life. It can accommodate up to 10 people in a nice, calm, old-fashioned space. Please relax with your family and friends. About 1 hour by car from downtown Kyoto, about 20 minutes by bus from Azumikawa Station on the JR Kusai Line, about 10 minutes by taxi. It is popular with overseas customers, families and groups. A BBQ set is also available for rent. BBQ equipment is available for a fee, so please let us know. Free parking on premises. If you are in a regular car, you can park up to 3 cars. For large vehicles, it may be difficult to accommodate 3, so please contact us in advance. Paid rentals are also possible if you consult with us in advance. There are also plenty of outdoor facilities in the surrounding area, so please use it as a base for activities. Please also use it as a base for cycling in Lake Biwa. This is a 10-minute walk from JR Omihachiko Station and an 8-minute walk to the nearest Biwako no Hama. You can see Lake Biwa from the building. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
