Into the macabre? Stay on the campus of what once was the largest mental asylum in the world. Stay in a fully renovated craftsman, 1920's cottage situated on the corner of a large pecan grove, across from the Central State Hospital infirmary. Walking, driving or trolly tours are available to learn all about the history of one of the nation's oldest and largest institutions for the mentally ill. Note: Buildings are closed to the public. There are no tours inside buildings.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to visit! Enjoy the lake view from the dock, porch or fire pit. With a boat ramp just down the street, you can bring your toys or rent some during your stay at the Marina. There is an RV hookup for power if you need some extra space. The property is about 30 minutes to shopping and stores so we like to plan accordingly. Shoes are recommended while on the dock to protect your feet from wood and nails.

Heat up the grill or watch the water while rocking in the rocking chairs on the screened in porch. This location is the most peaceful place in Georgia. We offer kayaks, floats and stand up paddle boards for some downtime. Put your boat in the water or rent one at the marina!
