If booked please see my other listing Cabin Apartment 2 under profile link. Your own private retreat in the city. An urban cabin designed as an open modern apartment. Practical elements share the space with a few timeless pieces. A galley kitchen provides all the necessities, and the extra long claw foot tub makes it complete. Floor to ceiling windows look out onto an expansive and peaceful garden with beautiful natural light all day. It is situated separately behind a 1914 colonial revival house, and both share a large wooded lot with mature water oaks. Nightly rate includes occupancy tax.
“Richard’s studio apartment was the perfect way to experience Savannah. The location is ideal - in the heart of the city, yet totally private and quiet. We loved sitting on the front porch in the mornings and evenings. Richard did a great job restoring the carriage house too - the space is still historic, but with modern conveniences like great AC and a smart TV. We had all we needed to cook, and the fridge was stocked with a few drinks and necessities to start off our week. If you want to really experience Savannah, we absolutely recommend Richard’s place!”
The Starlander resides within a 1920s townhouse that's part home (mine), part guest house, part experimental art project, and a little bit library (I have a few books). I've travelled to over 70 countries, and my favorite stays were not in hotels, but in small guest houses and hostels with private rooms available. I liked the home-grown character of these places, and the chance to interact with the hosts and other guests. I hope to give others a similar opportunity in Savannah at the Starlander.
“Jason’s place was absolutely adorable. The space was bigger than I expected and very stylish. The neighborhood was beautiful with some great restaurants nearby. Unfortunately most things were still closed or take out only because of covid-19 but it was still a great location. Parking was easy even with alternate sides and I was able to park right in front. Jason even recommended a mechanic for me for a quick fix my car needed. I would absolutely stay here again!”

“I really can’t say enough great things! Jennifer’s place was so awesome. I came to stay after working a long shift and too tired to drive over an hour home. It’s in the heart of Savannah. Finding it was very easy. It’s very close to everything. The house is super cool. It reminds me of somewhere I used to live before so it was very nostalgic. Check-in was super easy as well. Everything is so neat and clean. The bed was comfortable and the roku was just what I needed to unwind and relax after working. The shower was hot and she provides some toiletries in case you forgot your own. Little things like that make the stay everything! Jennifer is a wonderful host, has an awesome place, and I will definitely be back!!”
