You can stroll along the canal bank, catch a train from Risca train station which is 4minutes walk away (270yds) to Cardiff to an event (30 minutes by train). You can cycle or walk in the Cwmcarn Forest Drive 5 miles away or the Syrhowy Valley trail enjoyable for all levels of fitness and ability. A spacious twin-bedded room, up one flight of stairs, in The Three Compasses Inn recently refurbished to a high standard with en-suite Shower Room. Price is for the en-suite room only but a full English Breakfast is available upon request at £10pp. During the Summer months breakfast can be taken in our beautiful Courtyard Garden! If required, an extra bed for a child can be provided for £25 extra per night. We are situated in a quiet rural village location just 2 miles from Dorchester.

For cyclists the renowned Black Mountain begins 500 metres from the gate. Cars and motorcycles have plenty of room to park.

Our Lodges consist of 25 ensuite bedrooms spread across 5 buildings, set in woodland running parallel to our golf course. The Main Lodge consists of 13 bedrooms in 3 room types across the ground and first floor levels. In the Main Lodge you will also find our Reception and Hotel Bar. Leading away from the Main Lodge, on the raised boardwalk that meanders through the woodlands, are the 4 individual lodge - each with three ensuite bedrooms.

Abbey Lodge Guest House is located in the Westcliff area of Bournemouth, close to local amenities and within walking distance of Bournemouth's attractions including the BIC (Bournemouth International Centre), Pier, town centre shops and restaurants. The Space Room 5 is a private room with en-suite shower room located on the 2nd floor. It has a double bed, flat screen TV, Wifi, tea and coffee making facilities.
