Secluded Ptarmigan Yurt

Now in its 7th season the Yurt is very popular. Last year (2023) we have upgraded the flooring from carpet to wood with lovely rugs. This year (2024)We have also changed the curtains throws, cushions and bedding and added a few extras for our guests comfort. The Yurt has a kingsize bed, a kitchenette and a sofa. The fire is ready for our guests to light on arrival as this is the only form of heating and you can request more logs each day free, The Yurt has an ensuite bathroom with shower etc

20' woodland yurt in Highland glen

Set in our small mixed woodland at West Cottage and Stables in in picturesque Glenlyon, our 20ft yurt offers complete privacy, a choice of two fire pits (one under cover) and amazing views, a wood burning range cooker with an oven, and a double bed – to mention just the essentials. The yurt is lined with wool, and there's a pull out twin bed and a kettle and toaster. There's cold water in the yurt and a full bathroom a short walk up to our house. There's also your own loo right by the yurt.

Our beautiful, hand made, warm, cosy yurt is situated in our farmhouse garden. Easily accessible by public transport, it's in a rural setting but close to the village of The Bridge of Earn. A welcome basket of essentials is provided on arrival. Ideally situated for families and friends wishing to explore Perthshire, Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Cairngorm mountains. The woodburning stove keeps the yurt very warm. A quirky outdoor kitchen with stove, bbq and pizza oven is provided for your use.

Staying in a Yurt is pure relaxation! Mull Yurts is on a working croft on the stunning Isle of Mull. Amazing views, lovely walks, incredible sandy beaches to find and explore. Boat trips head off daily to the Puffin isles of Staffa and Lunga. One of Scotland's top tourist attractions - the Isle of Iona and its Abbey is a few miles away.
