Our 80 sqm apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, directly below King Ludwig II's fairytale castle Neuschwanstein and overlooking the castle Hohenschwangau. In 15 minutes you are on foot at the Alpsee and on the ascent to the castles. Many beautiful hikes/ bike rides start with us. Schwangau is 2.6 km from the apartment, while Füssen is 4.2 km away.

A cosy 2 bedroom family apartment in the heart of the old town on the banks of the river Lech. The uniqueness of the houses in our street, is their position between the old city wall and the river. It is the perfect base to experience the beautiful nature around the Castles as well as the Old town of Füssen, in particular if you like to do everything by foot or bike. The house offers an insight into how the people of Füssen have lived over the centuries. Once a Lederhosenshop now a family home.

Welcome to the house of my childhood memories. It is located right below the castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, surrounded by lakes and mountains. Inspired by the contrast between heritage and sharing economies, the designer Michl Sommer and his team of featuring-amsterdam have created this microcosm inside the traditional neighbourhood of Hohenschwangau. The 180 sqm living area provides generous space, and the 1'400 sqm garden is large enough for football games.

The train station is a 5-minute walk away. City and region offer endless leisure activities. Hiking, biking, swimming, winter sports, everything is possible seasonally. The castles of King Ludwig II are four kilometers away. Larger shopping cities are Kempten, Kaufbeuren, Augsburg, or Munich.

Living next to the King

There is a regional tourist tax: €1.90 per person per night; This tax is included in the booking price. Children pay €0.95 per night; the tax for children is collected on site. Live next to the king. In 15 minutes, you can walk to Hohenschwangau, then choose between Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau Castle. A supermarket can be reached in 5 minutes by car. Arrival via the A7, exit Füssen, then keep following the signs "Königschlösser".

The apartment has two separate bedrooms and a large living/dining room. It has a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a large shower and toilet, and a separate guest toilet. The large south-facing balcony offers a great view of the mountains. Our newly renovated apartment offers you the ideal retreat for your vacation. This spacious apartment is equipped with every comfort you need for a wonderful vacation. There are TVs in all bedrooms (you can use the streaming services Netflix, Amazon, etc. with your own access data). You have 2 terraces and a small garden around the apartment. Only one local family lives in the house. You will be staying in a quiet residential area (30 km/h zone).

Straubinger house directly on the Forggensee - the "See"

The listed Straubingerhaus is a former farm, family-owned since 1896, and has been lovingly renovated in the past two years. Now our 3 apartments are ready and we can welcome guests. We warmly welcome you directly at Lake Forggensee in the village of the royal castles in the "Mini," "Mountain" or "Lake." The Straubinger house is located directly on the Forggensee in the Allgäu, so mountain climbing and swimming are no problem!
