Cottage on Åsen

Small cottage with charm on Øståsen in Vikersund. 40 min walk uphill from the parking lot. Here there is a simple life without electricity and water. The way up is a nice ride, a bit heavy for some lots. Recommend to go up before dark. Remember good shoes and warm clothes. On top of that, the prize awaits, flat and nice with lovely views:) Bunk bed in the kitchen, sofa bed in the living room. Cabin with stunning views in quiet surroundings. Short distance to the fjord and a rowing boat is available during the summer months. The cottage has a mini-kitchen, fridge, small oven and microwave. Not dishwasher. Bathroom with shower and toilet, heating cables in the floor. Living room with lounge area, dining table and a cozy fireplace. The bedrooms are very small. Covered porch with outdoor furniture. Bed linen and towels are not included. When snow, you have to park by the road and walk the last 50 meters up to the cabin. Parking by the cabin during summer.

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.
