The cottages in the Village of Silence were hand-carved 30 years ago. In 2023, the cottages will be completely renovated. The cottage has its own toilet, coffee maker, kettle, microwave and fridge. There is a main building in the area where you will find a restaurant with a full license, serving breakfast and dinner on request. It's nice to cycle along the fjord into Agatunet or against Utne with Utne hotel, and Hardanger Folkemuseeum .

We live in the countryside, our village is called Hjartåbygda, 10 min by car from Volda city center. There is no public transport, so you should have your own car. Nice hiking area right outside the door, marked trails. Otherwise quiet and peaceful. Right by the lake, and by car it is not far to many of Sunnmøre's beautiful mountains.
