Places to stay in Solva

Places to stay in Solva
The Tree House is elevated and built amongst the tree tops. It has a cosy, spacious and light ambience . A short walk through a wooded valley, following a pretty stream with a mill pond leads to a quiet and sheltered cove that's good for swimming with a natural diving pool in the rocks refilled with every tide. Or enjoy the spectacular views of the Pembrokeshire National Park. Please note, bookings between 18th July and 29th August 1 week minimum changeover on Saturday.
The unique location and access to the coastal path and cove is a great draw. There is a sense of being in the trees as it’s built on the side of a National Trust valley which holds the highest conservation status. Also, check out our famous tree swing, just below the property. We moved here because we can just walk out of the house with a cup of tea in hand and stroll to the headland in minutes, stepping into wilderness. My dream was to live in a place with nothing between me and the sea.
The house is 5 minutes drive to St Davids, Britain's smallest city, which has numerous restaurants, cafe's, activity centres including some of the best surfing in the UK and heritage sites. The village of Solva, also 5 mins drive or 20 mins walk, is considered one the prettiest harbour villages in the UK with pubs and shops for visitors as well as boating facilities. You can walk to both along the spectacular coast path and get a regular bus back to the Pink House. Guide Book for The Pink House/Tree House and Shepherds Hut This is by no means an exhaustive list of the places I love to visit or eat and drink in: Solva: Mam gu – Amazing Welsh cakes baked on the premises. Lots of different flavours as well as the traditional version. Based on a recipe passed down in the owners family. Also lovely coffee and a variety of herbal teas as well as food. The Lavender Café in Raoul Speeks Gallery. Eat delicious homemade cakes and drinks surrounded by art and Heather’s photo’s. Strong Cuban influence infused with Welsh flavours. Back coast road between St Davids and Croesgoch near Berea. Perennial Garden and Café SA62 6DB – Newly opened and my very favourite place at the moment. Very interesting range of coffees and teas. My daughter had coffee from Lake Atitlan in Guatamala (having swum in this sacred lake on her Gap Year) and I had Earl Grey with Blue Flowers. The tasty sandwiches came with organic salad. You can also buy bags of salad and the most beautiful bunches of flowers. I’ve decided to cycle across the Dowrog Common to get there next time I visit. The Druidstone SA62 3NE 01437 781221 I have always loved “The Dru” as it is affectionately known. A hotel set on cliffs overlooking St Brides Bay. The beach below is accessed down a steep winding path with the best rock pools for blennies we’ve found. Eat in the posh restaurant and watch the sunset or in the cellar bar where you can choose to sit outside on the terrace or in the walled garden. Full of art work and host for various music and drama events. Porthgain Interesting walks through fascinating industrial architecture and coastal walks where you hear and catch sight of Grey Atlantic seal pups with their mothers. http://www.visitpembrokeshire.com/explore-pembrokeshire/wildlife-and-nature/seal-watching/ Here you can visit the Sloop Pub which has a great outdoor sun trap of a terrace. Watch your children playing on the green as you relax and catch the last rays of the setting sun. Or get fish and chips from The Shed – a restaurant that specialises in local freshly caught fish. Nearby is The Blue Lagoon. Enjoy cliff jumping here, the site of the Red Bull championships. Learn how to jump safely first please – google it! My sons friend dislocated both his shoulders by not taking due care. Llys Meddyg - Newport http://www.llysmeddyg.com/ Well worth the 45min trip up the coast for an outstanding meal in the restaurant or cellar bar or outside in the garden. Children and dog friendly. Great art and ceramics. I am bias of course because my daughter Louise and her husband Ed own the hotel and restaurant / Ceramics by Adam Buick http://www.adambuick.com/ (son-in-law)/Art by a selection of the best artists in Pembrokeshire. While you are there visit The Witches Cauldron, an extraordinary geological feature https://www.coastalcottages.co.uk/things-to-do-in-pembrokeshire/witches-cauldron/538/ . On a calm day swim through the caves and arches at low tide. And of course visit Whitesands Bay – café and amenities have not spoilt the natural beauty of this wonderful beach. Watc the local surfers zoom down to the beach when they hear the surfs up. I love the walk to St Davids Head from Whitesands. If you’re feeling energetic walk around Carnliddi or up and over the top. See if you can spot the cromlechs that are littered around – a slight exaggeration! On our little hand written map , where Wrecks are written check out this story http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/621818. The 3 tugs were shipwrecked in 1981 the year before we moved here. My children loved playing on them and its well worth a scramble down the well worn (though not obvious) cliff path to see how the beach is strewn with tortured metal from the tugs. Talking about which- in the inaccessible cove beyond Elephants Head (written about by a travel writer in the 50’s as a place that tourists will flock to in the future like they do to Wookey Hole in The Cheddar Gorge) you may spy smugglers steps hewn into the promontory on the Solva side – my children tell me now how they used to climb down them (my blood runs cold at the thought)!! And before I finish this weeney guide book – I want to tell you how I told my daughter off for exaggerating when she said that the sea was really warm in the cove. I had to apologise because I was astonished to find that it was – and I am a real coldy custard. Because the south facing cove has pillars of black rock that get warmed during the day if the tide’s out, they act like storage radiators and warm the water significantly when the tide comes in at the end of the afternoon. (you’ve got to get the conditions just right though) I hope this gives you a taste of this lovely area and what it has to offer. Please let us know in the guest book what you have enjoyed during your stay here.
  • Cannot recommend this property enough, especially if you have dogs! lovely walks and still central for lovely towns and beaches. Everything you need for a relaxing break is supplied

  • We had a fabulous weekend stay despite atrocious weather. Wonderful treehouse experience in a gorgeous location. The tree swing was a massive hit with my son. We definitely plan on a second stay and a longer one.

  • This Treehouse was like a little peace of heaven on Earth! It was beautifully clean, comfortable and so relaxing! Every comfort had been thought of and there is a library of books to keep you entertained!! We had a small problem with the shower which Elizabeth fixed immediately for us! The wonderful views were so close, only 5 mins along the lane to the most breathtaking scenery!! I have a very demanding job and The Treehouse has an amazing way of making you feel so relaxed! 5 stars!! We will be back!!

The Cwtch, a modern compact studio apartment in a converted outbuilding set in the grounds of a secluded property close to the Rising Sun Inn approximately 1.5 miles from Haverfordwest on the A487 to St.Davids, 6 miles to the spectacular Newgale beach and coastal path makes this an ideal stay for walkers.
The building is yours for the duration, just relax and enjoy the local area. The kitchenette has a kettle, microwave, a two ring hot plate, fridge and washing machine. There is a lovely pub open down the road if you don't fancy cooking. Tea, coffee, milk and toiletries are provided. Wifi is available.
This is a really relaxing area just off the main road to St Davids and 5 minutes outside Haverfordwest it is very peaceful and quiet. Six miles from the coast and a great central location from which to explore the Pembrokeshire National Park.
  • Another great stay while working in the area, great location close to town and just a short drive to the beach, lovely cosy accommodation

  • Good communication with hosts. Good clean space. Very comfortable.

  • The room was wonderful and we would be delighted to stay here again. Filled with nice touches and friendly hosts, we felt very welcome and would recommend to anyone visiting this part of Wales.

  • Lovely to return to the Cwtch. Great location for exploring Pembrokeshire and a lovely and cosy hide away from the Welsh weather.

    Charlotte2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay here. Great size for 2 people, very nicely decorated and has everything you need and more. It feels very private and Glyn qnd Jill were very nice. Would stay again :)

    Rena2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Cwtch is a wonderful little retreat! A perfect size for two people. The space was spotless and there were plenty of amenities for cooking, washing etc. Coming back to the Cwtch after cold days of walking and swimming was lovely. Glyn was very friendly and happy to answer any queries we had. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a cosy base to explore the beautiful Pembroke coast. Thank you Glyn and Jill!

    Edward2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed one night here and it is faultless! Easy check-in, Glyn was very nice and friendly and explained everything we needed to know! The off-street parking was awesome to have, and the place itself is like a studio apartment separate from the main house, very warm and insulated! The heart wall is adorable :) the place has everything you could want! Since Glyn and jill had nobody arriving the day we left, we were told we could leave whenever - we had a lovely relaxed morning and are very grateful for their flexibility! Would definitely recommend this place!

  • The fact that this is the third time I have gone for a long weekend here should speak for itself. It is a lovely self contained apartment and (for me) is just perfect for getting away from everyday life four a weekend. The dramatic coast is justa few minutes driva away and penty of ameneties in the local town which is just a mile away.

Walk down the wooded valley right from the back door of this restored historic miner's cottage. Period features like flagstone floors and beamed, vaulted ceilings meet contemporary conveniences such as underfloor heating and a free-standing tub.
A lovely spacious cottage with rustic Pembrokeshire character situated right next to the coast. Two double bedrooms, open plan living area, large kitchen and spacious veranda. The cottage is located close to Nolton Haven, Newgale, Little haven and druidston beach. All of which have pubs and restaurants to suit your needs. The cottage accommodates 4 people. There is a good sized master bedroom with amazing views and a kingsized bed. There is a second bedroom with a comfy double bed with an ensuite bathroom. Both bedrooms have adequate storage and hanging space for clothes. The main bathroom has a stand alone bath, which is great for relaxing. Overlooking the flowery meadow is the south facing veranda which is perfect for watching the dramatic coastal sunsets. Situated in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park and surrounded by National Trust land, Carren Bach cottage is part of the Southwood Estate. Spot all kinds of wildlife, surf, and discover numerous nearby villages, pubs, and restaurants.
  • What else to say that hasn't already been said in all of the other 5* reviews? We had a wonderful weekend relaxing and unwinding, even in the rain this place is still magical. As another review said, if you're thinking about booking here, just do it!

    Henry2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re after a stunning, secluded location, yet close to amenities, an increasingly space full of character and are inspiring decor and views.... look no further!! We could have moved in and wished we could have stayed far longer. We hope to visit again in summertime. Watching the sun go down in the hot tub was certainly a highlight I’d like to repeat!

    Mariza2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This property is amazing. No detail is forgotten about and the whole place is stunning. The photos show the property off well, bit don’t do it justice! We stayed during a pretty stormy weekend and the weather actually made the weekend better - the underfloor heating is lovely, the living area is stunning and the light and airy upstairs bedroom has wonderful views, whether the sun is shining or the rain and wind beating down (the feature window!). The owners have kitted this place out so there is nothing you want for, the retro record player was a brilliant touch (along with an excellent and “varied” record collection), as is the coffee machine. Obviously though, the hot tub is the main “extra”, being based in a very cool hut with sliding barn doors so you can enjoy wide views outside whilst being out of the elements if the weather is harsh (as it was when we were there!). It’s amazing to sit sheltered in the hut (with the cool retro decor) whilst the elements do their thing. Would fully recommend this property and we can’t wait to go back in warmer months to enjoy the outdoor spaces (BBQ area, seating deck and lawns).

    Alex2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here with my wife and 1 year old child. Would give it 6 stars if I could, absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend to any couples on their own or with a small child as the under floor heating and cleanliness makes it great for them to crawl around on. The itinerary was great and Emma gave us some ideas for things to do, just think beaches, small towns, coffee shops, pub lunches etc. A must book if you haven’t already stayed here, breathtaking views and you genuinely feel like you’re ’off the grid’ in your own little world.

    Maniel2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very enjoyable experience at Carren Bach. We wanted somewhere to unwind and escape our busy lives. Emma was a super host made us feel very welcome and very helpful. The place is beautiful and very cosy.

    Dafne2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Carren Bach Cottage, which kept us warm and cosy throughout the storm! The rooms were beautiful and the amenities - especially the kitchen - were fantastic. Heated floor was a lovely touch, as was the record player, and we loved the style and decor too - it's clear lots of thought has gone into making Carren Bach a wonderful place to stay.

    Victoria2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a lovely 3 days at Carren Bach. Emma was in contact before we visited making sure we had all the information we might need. Carren Bach was the perfect accommodation, beautifully decorated. We made regular use of the hot tub and record player. We are already planning when we can visit again!

    Kirstie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful relaxing stay at Carren Bach. Particularly enjoyed sitting in the hot tub on a rainy January afternoon looking out at the fileds and hills!

Rogeston is situated in a secluded rural location on a quiet country lane just three miles from the sea and the National Park yet only five miles from the supermarkets and amenities of Haverfordwest. Druidstone, Nolton , Broadhaven and Newgale are our nearest beaches. Being more or less mid way along the Pembrokeshire coast, Rogeston is ideally located for exploring all of the county with its beautiful beaches and attractions for all ages including highlights such as the picturesque seaside town of Tenby and the tiny city of St Davids with its stunning cathedral. There are numerous options for walkers including the spectacular coastal path which runs the length of the Pembrokeshire coast. Woodlands , mountains and estuary rivers provide alternative scenery for walking or cycling. In the spring and summer months a wildlife spotting boat trip to one of the islands is a must. For eating and drinking we are lucky to have the famously quirky Druidstone Hotel with its relaxed and welcoming bar and restaurant ( look out for the regular 'Feast' nights ) only an 8 minute drive or a 45 minute walk from the cottage. The sea view from the garden and restaurant is glorious - the perfect place to watch the sun go down or for a winter lunch. Despite the region's attractions traffic jams are few and far between. Beaches are never overcrowded even in the summer months making Pembrokeshire an ideal destination for a seaside holiday without the crowds. Information leaflets and recommendations are available in the cottage.
  • Highly recommended for a short break. Perfectly situated for Pembrokeshire coast and walks and a lovely bolt hole from the world. Kay has done a fantastic job kitting out and the master bedroom in particular is really comfy. The woodburner is a central part of the experience if cold too! Clean, welcoming and easy to find.

    Tim2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the world. We were visiting during Storm Ciara but felt completely protected against the elements, especially with the unlimited firewood for the woodburner! Lots of thoughtful touches from the hosts, and helpful communication when storm was forecast to meet our trip :)

  • Stylish, cosy and in the perfect spot for exploring the West Wales coast. We loved our stay tland the place is really well equipped. Thanks Kay and Charlie for sharing The Stables!

  • My husband and I (and our dogs) stayed at the Stables for 10 nights over Christmas and New Year. It was so cosy and the perfect retreat to really unwind - as well as being close to some stunning beaches and great places to hike. The kitchen was really well stocked and we were able to comfortably cook Christmas dinner. The shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. Kay’s communication from enquiry to booking and throughout our stay was very good and any questions we had were always answered very quickly. Thank you Kay for a great stay - we hope to come back in the future.

    Becca2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • A very quiet, calm and cosy place to spend a week - for me in the middle of winter but still enough sunny days for long walks with the dog and to explore the bay. The place has so many nice touches, and great communication from Kay. Would very much recommend.

    Sara2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time to The Stables and it remained true to our memories. Cosy, comfortable and stylish in a location that is not too far from anywhere worth visiting. The log burner was an absolute delight and essential for warming up the place especially during more cold snaps. We had all we needed to cook some delicious meals in and our houndy, Wellington, loved his first time in Pembrokeshire. Thank you Kay and Charlie got a wonderful stay. We look forward to coming back once bump is born!

  • This was my first AirBnB experience and my next hosts have a lot to live up to! The accommodation was charming and spotlessly clean in a great central location. Fraser was very welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was perfect with a comfy bed, very good WiFi and there were thoughtful extras including toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and there was a wide choice of beverages, breads, cereals, jams and fruit etc. Fraser is a great host who went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay. I couldn’t ask for more and I would definitely stay here again.

  • Amazing location right in the heart of what has to be Wales’s most beautiful (albeit minuscule) city! Room super-cosy and really warm, and breakfast delicious. Highly recommend.

  • Great stay in a gorgeous location ! close to everything and such a cosy and welcoming space ! Fraser was very accomodating and gave great tips on walks and local pubs etc. Would recommend !

  • I enjoyed my stay here - the house is big and very centrally located, the bedroom was comfortable and the shared bathroom was cosy and clean, with lots of small touches to make guests feel welcome. Fraser and Fiona are friendly and welcoming. St David’s is a lovely little city with a few good restaurants, cafes and the stunning cathedral and bishop’s palace, and the beautiful coastline is 20-25 minutes walk away.

    Tammy2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time visiting St. David's and staying here. They are very thoughtful and hospital people. It was really nice to be able to wake up to a nice little breakfast bar. Fraser invited me to see his ska band, which I would have loved to do but I fell ill and needed to rest before I continued my travels through Wales. My train from Cardiff was late so I missed the connecting bus to St. David's in the middle of the country side at night. He attempted to arrange a ride for me even though I was quite far away still. I appreciated the effort and got myself out of the situation eventually with a fellow stuck traveller.

    Alec2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fraser's hospitality was excellent - His local knowledge of events in the 'smallest city' was superb - great to support the local community events. Excellent night's sleep on a comfy bed. The home-made jams were delicious. Thank you so much.

  • This was a lovely little cottage. Beautiful and clean and even decorated tastefully for Christmas. The children loved that they had to climb a ladder to go to bed and said that the beds were 'well comfy'. We loved our stay and would highly recommend and would love to stay again maybe when the weather is better.

A stunning conversion of a 1,000 year old building by the architect owners who have carefully preserved the character of this medieval treasure whilst creating a generous contemporary home with all the comforts and facilities for modern day living.
Walking around the house you are constantly leaping back and forth across millennia… Beneath the fine old Victorian roof is a spacious and comfortable double-height living area focused upon the elegant Stuv woodburner by night, and countryside views through the 15th Century windows by day… Beyond the Romanesque font are the clean lines of a generous dining area overlooked by a modern kitchen specifically designed to include the old oak altar… And overlooking the main entertaining spaces is a mezzanine gallery with two small (4' double) sofa beds and two workstations, leading to two small bedrooms (4'6" double beds here) in the eaves with fantastic views over the Preseli Hills… And if that wasn't enough there is the boutique hotel bathroom allowing you to daydream in the bath looking out through a medieval window!
High Haven sits in good size simple lawn garden - it is in the original churchyard with some gravestones - and because of its raised position at the head of the valley it has outstanding views of the surrounding countryside to the Preseli Hills. This is a fantastic location for exploring the wonderful West Pembrokeshire coastline and its beautiful beaches and coves – only 3.5 miles to the nearest beaches at Nolton Haven and Druidstone Haven for horse riding along the beach, and another few minutes to the charming fishing village of Little Haven and the dramatic expanses of Newgale famous for surfing and land yachting. Our favourites are Settlands beach which you can only reach at low tide from Little Haven (very Famous Five!), and 5 miles to the spectacular Marloes Sands (Guardian 'Searching for the Perfect Beach'). It is located adjacent to a working farm run by very neighbourly John brothers and within the tiny hamlet of Lambston just outside the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and in the countryside between Haverfordwest and the coast which are both 3.5 miles away.
  • High Haven is a beautiful, relaxing and stylish space. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here and felt very at home. The living space is wonderful, and the kids particularly enjoyed their mezzanine bedrooms/play areas where they could have their own space but still feel connected to us. Bathrooms and kitchens are high spec and well equipped. Bedrooms are very small but we found them to be snug, especially during Storm Dennis when we could hear the wind and rain lashing down on us! We had a private chef cook for us on our last night, Andrea from Chefs on the Run - highly recommended, delicious food in vast quantities and great value. The weather did not deter us from enjoying blustery beach walks at Broadhaven, Newgale and Nolton Haven, and a day out in St David's. Thanks for a lovely holiday!

  • High Haven is an absolutely wonderful conversion. Sympathetic, tasteful and practical. It was absolutely perfect for the three of us and the dog. We thoroughly enjoyed returning to the impressively improved chapel after days out walking. Well equipped and warm at all times. Perfect for a winters break with long walks on quiet beaches and the coastal path. Great communication and check in. Thanks all for a superb visit.

    Matt2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Chapel is absolutely beautiful. Location really handy for exploring Pembrokeshire. We had awful weather, but stayed lovely and cosy with the log burner on and played board games for hours. The cows are quite noisy, but got use to it after the first night.

    Chene2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • It was wonderful, the church is a dream, also in terms of decor. The kitchen was well equipped, the cooking was as much fun as at home. We felt so comfortable that we enjoyed every hour there. Thank you, we'll be back!

    Kathrin2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable stay and such a cool, historic place! The church has been restored beautifully and everything was great and as described in the listing. Finding it was a bit difficult at night - I've now added the listing to Google Maps to hopefully make it easier to find: https://goo.gl/maps/iQDDrUVoYy89EsRX8

The Shepherds Hut is perched on the edge of a National Trust wooded valley running down to the sea. Follow a path beside a pretty brook, mill ponds, derelict mill and out into the cove. The perfect spot to soak up the beauty and nature around you. The sheltered south facing cove must be one of the most interesting to swim in and explore with a small waterfall to swim under into a shallow cave, a natural diving pool and lots of pillars of dark rock to swim between, riding on the wave surges.
I have long dreamed of creating a hut in this location to take advantage of its hidden character. yet still feeling raised up above the valley with lovely views. A bit like being in an observation tower but not exposed because of the trees. It feels a bit like an eagles eerie to me. The Hut is well insulated and heated with log burner and a heated towel rail. Cooking can done on the wood burner or a single induction hob. There is also an oven/grill combi microwave. There is a good sized fridge with a freezer box. The corner sofa opens into a good sized double bed (my daughter boyfriend is 6'4'' and he was delighted that he fitted comfortably) The compact shower room has an ecotoilet ( seperates the solids from liquids), shower and washbasin with ample hot water. Outside you can relax in 2 hammock chairs or sit on the bench and just enjoy watching the butterflies and birds around you in the trees from your birds eye view. Other properties available are the Farmhouse sleeping 6: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/12358861 and The Tree House sleeping 4 https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/2847200
We are in a rural position, the nearest shop is in Solva 4mins away by car of 20mins walking across the fields. Guide Book for The Pink House/Tree House and Shepherds Hut:- This is by no means an exhaustive list of the places I love to visit or eat and drink in: Solva: Mam gu – Amazing Welsh cakes baked on the premises.
  • Bloody lovely. Shepherds hut + wood burner + near the coast = happy punters

  • Beautiful Shepard’s Hut in the perfect location!

    Poppy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The shepherds hut is in an excellent location between Solva and st davids and very close to the coastal path. We stayed during storm Dennis (where winds were up to 65mph!) and the shepherds hut was so cosy and offered everything we needed to escape from and warm up after exploring in the extreme weather! We had dinner at the Druidstone on saturday night. Thank you for the recommendation Elizabeth....it was lovely! We also really enjoyed afternoon tea at the old pharmacy tea rooms in Solva.

    Joanna2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy space for one or two, right next to a small brook running down to a spectacular cove that you pretty much have all to yourself. Lovely hut, decorated very prettily, and it's REALLY toasty when you get the fire going.

    Kate2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • A fab, cosy hut in an amazing location. The log burner heats the cabin perfectly within minutes and there are some of the best walks from the front door.

    Tim2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was lovely staying in such a cozy hut so close to the coastal path. Excellent location for costal walks and a lovely place to spend blustery evenings.

The Pink House is a cosy old Welsh farmhouse overlooking a NT wooded coastal valley. Enjoy snuggling beside a wood burning stove or sit outside on the sunny sheltered patio where steps lead down to a pretty stream and path through a wood to a sheltered cove. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Pembrokeshire National Park or if you’re energetic bring wetsuits and go swimming in a stunning natural diving pool in the cove. Bookings between 18th July - 29th August, 7 day min stay, Sat changeover.
The unique location and access to the coastal path and cove is a great draw. There is a sense of being in the trees as The Pink House is perched on the edge of a National Trust valley which holds the highest conservation status. Also, check out our famous tree swing, just below the property. The Nine Wells valley is the site of historical Holy Wells on an ancient pilgrimage route to St Davids Cathedral. We moved here because we can just walk out of the house with a cup of tea in hand and stroll to the headland in minutes, stepping into wilderness. My dream was to live in a place with nothing between me and the sea. Inside the Pink House the open-plan living area includes a kitchen with dining table and a spacious sitting room with enough sofas and comfortable chairs to watch TV, sit by the fire or play family games. The room is tastefully decorated with paintings by local artists. The kitchen has a large retro American-style fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and rangemaster electric cooker. In the porch there is an ‘out of the way’ drying space on a traditional "lazy maid" above the central heating boiler. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms with comfortable mattresses and plenty of storage space with views over the tree tops and the valley. The third bedroom has bespoke adult sized bunk beds made by a local craftsman. The bathroom has bath/shower with good pressure and unlimited hotwater. The large south facing sheltered terrace has table and chairs for eating al-fresco and enjoying the Pembrokeshire sunshine. The terrace shares access to the coastal path with the Tree House - see other Airbnb listing https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/2847200 - if you wish to rent both properties. There is also a Shepherds Hut accessed from the car park available on airbnb. https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/26691017 Parking close to the house.
You can walk to both along the spectacular coast patch and get a regular bus back to the Pink House.
  • Lovely warm, clean and and cosy cottage, well equipped, and adjacent to some very lovely walks over to some of the best coastal views you will see anywhere. We followed up on some of Elizabeth's food/drink recommendations ( especially a pint in The Sloop pub, followed by fish and chips across the road in The Shed at Portgain and Sunday lunch at the quirky and totally wonderful Druidstone Hotel!). Should also comment positively on the super friendliness of the locals and the numerous conversations we had throughout our stay. We will return to explore further!

    Lynda2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location and easy access to the coastal path. Elizabeth is a wonderful host and very attentive if needed.

    Beverly2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a short 2 night stay here and it was delightful. The location is amazing for access to the coast path and St.Davids. The beds were cozy, the house warm and the bird song in the morning enchanting. We will definitely be back some day, hopefully not during a 50mph storm next time. If you visit you really should pop into Mamgu's in Solva for some Welsh cakes, amazing!

    Marc2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really lovely cottage, clean and cosy, and very spacious - in the most beautiful location, at the top of a river valley, just 5-10 minutes walk from the sea. I would certainly stay here again.

    Angela2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We return time and time again. Elizabeth is a wonderful host, Pink House is cosy, has everything you could need and is in the most beautiful valley. Even in wet February the whole area is very special and so handy for the coastal path, St Davids and the lovely harbour of Solva. A guide book crammed with local info, a very homely living room with roaring log burner, and a deep bath to relax in after a day exploring. Bliss...

    Janet2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Fun holiday. Great place. Fabulous walks. Beautiful beaches. Good food. To top it off dog friendly!

    Natalie2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We came to the cottage on a stormy weekend just before Christmas. The house kept us cosy while the wind raged outside and the thunder rumbled. The whole family loved the clifftop walks between the rain. Elizabeth was a wonderful host who communicated with us really quickly and was very accommodating of our needs. A lovely winter break.

    Pippa2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely perfect base to explore the local area. Super cosy, warm and comfy. Everything we needed was at hand, including a well kitted our kitchen. The immediate location is great for walking/exploring with the Costal path, beautiful coves and wild horses only a few minutes walk from the front door. Elizabeth was the perfect host but totally left us to ourselves. Can not recommend highly enough. Thanks!

Ty Cranc (The "Crab House") is a traditional stone, mid-terrace cottage, beautifully and sympathetically renovated with sea views, set on a quiet no-through lane in the heart of Upper Solva, just a stone’s throw from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and village pub. Ty Cranc is comfortably and stylishly furnished with a contemporary twist complimenting the traditional features. A lovely cosy holiday home for couples and families alike, whatever the time of year.
The ground floor open-plan living and kitchen space features a large L-shaped sofa, dining area and wood-burning stove to ensure a cosy feeling even on the chilliest of evenings. Stairs lead up to a delightful double bedroom, with sea views, on the first floor. Children will love the cleverly designed, space saving bunk-bed pod. Alternatively, there are fixed-foot-step "paddle" stairs leading to another double bedroom nestling in the eaves. On a summer's day, enjoy sitting on the bench in front of the cottage or spend time in the separate island garden set down the lane with a lawn where children can play and you can linger over an alfresco meal soaking up the sea view. The property also has a private tiny yard "outdoor room" with rain shower and wet-suit hanging zone.
Conveniently located in Upper Solva, there is a popular village pub only a few yards away and a well-stocked shop. Down the hill in Lower Solva there are a further range of shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants to try, jostling around the picturesque harbour. The sheltered sandy-bottomed harbour is ideal for sailing enthusiasts and kayakers. Join the Pembrokeshire Coast path running not far from the doorstep to really appreciate this rugged and spectacular coastline with breathtaking views out over St Brides Bay and the islands of Ramsey, Skokholm and Grassholm. A short drive to the west lies the tiny city of St Davids with its range of shops, pubs and restaurants. The Cathedral and Bishops Palace are well worth a visit or take a boat trip from St Justinians around the island of Ramsey, famous for its seal pups in September. Families and surfing enthusiasts will also love the long sandy beach at Newgale to the East with its beach side pubs and cafes.
  • Cute house! They have made the most of the space with the bunks (our kids loved them) and the second floor loft. The location is great - about to get to the Pembrokeshire trail straight from the house. Hot water for showers and a nice fire at night was perfect. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups and cooking pans but bring your own spices if you want to cook (or plan to buy them). Small market nearby. I’d recommend this place for sure!

  • We had the most wonderful, cosy, comfortable stay in this cottage. We happened to pick a very wet weekend but the cottage was the perfect place to escape the rain - the hot water bottles were the perfect finishing touch! We would absolutely love to come back and would recommend this place to anyone :)

  • We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Calvins! What an absolute gem of a place and area. The house was amazing and sparkling clean!

  • Stay here! Wonderful cottage and fab hosts. We've had the loveliest stay in your fabulous cottage. First we arrived to a surprise bottle of red wine - amazing touch to start our Birthday and wedding anniversary get away! Communication throughout was very quick and helpful Place was spotlessly clean, modern and such a clever design. We made the most of the fire during our winter break. Location is lovely, great walk on the beach with our dog in the morning 4 mins walk down the road, many other great country and beach walks within 20 mins drive. Blankets provided for the dog and and a stairgate to keep the dog comfy and contained downstairs was a genius idea. This place is rather swish so we totally get the house rules! Locals in all the pubs we visited in walking distance were super friendly and welcoming for an evening pint. We will return! Thank

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay especially with the use of the hot tub which was a fab little extra to entertain the kids. Jayne was a fantastic host. We will certainly be returning and would highly recommend to others.

  • Glenside Cottage was spotless and so well equipped. The Hot tub outside was an added bonus, particularly with the bluetooth speaker. The super large bed was very comfortable and we slept amazingly. Views of horses out of the window was an added bonus. Will definitely come again.

  • Amazing cottage with clean hot tub run by lovely people.

    Piotr2018-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • You really couldn't be in better hands with Jayne. Not only was the cottage sparkling clean, it had absolutely everything you'd need for a home away from home. Jayne and her family were absolutely lovely and gave us loads of tips for places to eat, visit and shop and we're always happy to chat. The location was brilliant to explore the area whilst being off the beaten track enough to not be bogged down in the tourist traps. Coming home to the hot tub every night was a little bit of heaven after the kids went to bed for some chill out child free time. This was our first experience of Air BnB and we couldn't of been in better hands. We will most definitely be visiting again next time we're in the area. Thank you Jayne!

The place was a bit bigger than expected, Deb was very welcoming, giving us suggestions of places to visit (very helpful along with the suggestions of previous guests in the notebook). Would recommend.

Set in a quiet no through lane, Mill Cottage Solva has a particularly lovely setting, with the Solva River to the fore and bluebell woods behind. Continue along the lane, or cut through the playground, and you’ll reach the foreshore, less than 100m from Mill Cottage. At low tide, there is direct access to Solva’s sand beach, or you can stroll along the harbour edge to the quay . Solva, with its array of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants are less than a minutes walk across the river.
  • A lovely cosy cottage, beautifully renovated to include all that one could need. One double bedroom and a room with bunk beds - ideal for a family. The location is exquisite , near the harbour, quiet, near a children's playground, close to amenities. At low tides there's sand to play in at the bottom of the road. The cafes and pubs are only 2 minutes away and, of course this is ideally placed for walking the coastal path. We wanted a quiet restful stay to revive our spirits and it could not have been better. Thank you Phil!

  • A lovely stay at Mill Cottage, despite slightly wet weather! Cottage was in a good location, very close to pubs and cafes in Solva.

    Laura2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay here. The house is lovely and has a nice outdoor space.

    Emma2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is situated in an excellent location for walking the coastal paths, beaches and into the village, no need to get into your car for this. Hearing the ducks in the morning was a total pleasure. The cottage is comfortable and light with a garden at the back of the house to eat outdoors if the weather is good as it was for our 3 day stay. Parking facilities are next to the house. Overall I enjoyed my stay. I've made a suggestion to the owner to provide a small welcome pack for guests on arrival.

    Alicia2019-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cottage in a fantastic setting. If it’s peace and relaxation you want then look no further. We stayed here on a bank holiday weekend but, it was not busy or commercialised as many other places are. Great choice of nearby bars, shops and places to eat. Lovely walks by the sea. Good crabbing with the kids.

    Jimmy2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mill Cottage is set in a beautiful little village which is ideal for adventuring in West Wales. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped, has a car parking space available, pubs for food and drinks locally with a stream running just outside the door. Check in and out was incredibly easy, the cottage is lovely and private and we weren’t bothered at all throughout our stay. The house itself has menus, ideas for walks, places to visit-generally masses of information about the local area and further afield go keep you busy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a peaceful and relaxing stay in an idyllic location.

Owl's Nest is our cosy, yet light and airy annex. We are nestled in the heart of farming country on the wildly beautiful St Davids peninsula. The cottage is ideal for couples or young families. It has a comfortable double room and a snuggly bunk room. The kitchen-diner is fully equipped and an uplifting space in which to enjoy breakfast together before you head out. The bathroom is a perfect warm space to wash off the sand before relaxing over supper and getting cosy in front of the log burner.
We provide a complimentary welcome pack including home-made cake, tea, coffee, milk and sugar, as well as bread, butter and a preserve. We can lend you a folding cot, high chair, bed guard or stairgate at no extra cost. Please ask in advance. We do ask you to bring your own baby bedding and reins. Owl's Nest is the first step along the way to converting more outbuildings to create further holiday cottages, including a single storey, two-bedroomed, fully accessible unit with wide-ranging views to the West . Consequently, although there is no building work happening at the moment, we are sorry that we cannot yet offer you dedicated outside space to sit or play. It is a priority for us to try to get this ready by late summer. In the meantime, you may share our space at the front of the cottage, but children and pets need to be supervised at all times.
Make the most of our proximity to the Pembrokeshire Coast path. A short drive will take you to visit blue flag beaches, castles, hills, forests or animal parks. Enjoy peace and quiet with huge, starry skies. Make the most of the slower pace of life. Visit the farmers' markets and wonderful restaurants. Rediscover the joys of rock-pooling. Re-charge by walking the coast and drinking in the fresh sea air and the wildly beautiful vistas. We may be able to help you with a lift to the start or finish of your walk.

However, a travel cot is available for babies in arms (guests will need to bring their own bed linen). To the rear of the property is a utility area with fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The utility area leads to a large conservatory with attached wetroom (power shower) and WC. Broadband is available via WiFi, although this is very rural location and superfast speeds should not be expected. However, depending upon your provider, the local mobile 4G signal can be excellent. There is ample parking for 2 cars in front of the property. One well-behaved dog will be welcome.
The cottage is in a quiet rural location within the National Park yet has easy access to shops, restaurants and local beaches. As well as the nearby coastal walks there are plenty of walks from the property itself, including the old St Davids airfield which is possibly the best place in Pembrokeshire to see skylarks.
  • Lovely cottage in a beautiful area. Recommend it for a cosy and relaxing break

  • The photos of the cottage really don’t do it justice - it's just gorgeous! It is comfy, cozy and well equipped. Great location - with easy access (by car) to some fabulous beaches, the coastal path, St David’s and other places of interest. David was a perfect host. His communication with us was excellent and his advice on where to visit or eat out were spot on! We had a wonderful week and highly recommend the cottage for a perfect getaway.

  • Great location with stunning views all around. Beautiful cottage which is quite and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay and the conservatory was greatly appreciated on the stormy day we had. Just a note, the garden isn't enclosed for dogs and there is livestock in surrounding fields. We were able to block the drive entrance with our car. Not a problem for us and we kept an eye on our pooch but if your dog is known to wonder off you may need to consider a long line for toilet breaks.

    Jessica2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The description of the cottage is very accurate, the facilities are great, the cleanliness immaculate and the welcome and support throughout making for a lovely stay. It's so peaceful with quick and easy access to the lovely beaches, to Solva and to St. Davids. I couldn't recommend this highly enough, just terrific.

  • A real rural retreat!

    Cliodhna2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy space with all the facilities you need to enjoy your stay. Lots of history to the building. David is a welcoming host and was very responsive to any communications. The milk, wine and Welsh caked were a lovely surprise on our arrival. Old Tresais is centrally located to enjoy the spectacular Pembroke coast. Lovely walks from the cottage with our dog Bramble. The kids loved the space and are already asking to come back next year 😊

    Rachel2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic space, the photos don’t do it justice! And in a great location not far from St David’s. We had a great week (there were 4 of us) and really enjoyed staying in the cottage. Great pans and good knives which is refreshing hehe. If you are a couple, definitely go for it! If you are a 3 or 4, at the moment the second bed is just a futon, so that might be something you want to consider, but we got on with it ok, and would still stay again. Thank you David!

  • Wonderful home great for kids with the added extras of pool /tennis table, darts lots going on around beaches St David’s,Solva and mills pottery barns brilliant beaches home fully kitted out no need to worry about a bottle opener etc !!!

  • The Long Barn is a delightful conversion, well-proportioned and spacious inside and out for our family of five. We had everything we needed and we slept really well. We enjoyed the games room very much with the pool table, plus, the foals in the paddock outside were a nice touch! Solva is a small and quirky village featuring alpacas and a lovely harbour (we wished we had kayaks). Within a short drive are our two favourite beaches for body-boarding (Newgale & Whitesands) and the surf was excellent. There are plenty of walks in the surrounding area with clifftops, seals, wild flowers, hidden beaches and that sea air. Haverfordwest offers the big supermarkets for stocking up. All in all, a very restorative week, thank you Jordan.

    Jez2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Bwthyn Tresais cottage for a family holiday this summer and found the cottage very comfortable and spacious. We all enjoyed using the ping pong table in the garage outside. The cottage is well located close to the beautiful village of Solva and to St Davids. We found some wonderful surfing beaches nearby as well as some quieter and more remote spots. We would recommend this as a great place to spend a holiday.

    Sarah2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good stay at Bwthyn Tresais. It had room for six people and was very clean. It’s a good base for exploring Solva and St. David’s. The kitchen was well equipped and the Smart TV was a bonus. The shower was extremely powerful too, which is always good. The only downside was having to take our rubbish to the local tip because there were no external bins.

    Victoria2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Bwthyn Tresais is a wonderful cottage. We spent a fantastic week there in May. Although situated in a peaceful rural location surrounded by farmland, we managed to cycle to St David's in about 20 minutes, Whitesands beach in 30 minutes, taking it easy, and the coast at Solva was a thrilling 10 minutes downhill (but a bit of a climb back up). The cottage is beautifully decorated, with super comfy furniture and beds, and is really well appointed;. nice touches like soft towels, enough tea-towels, warm blankets and even slippers make all the difference. The log burner is a real bonus when it is colder, but we were lucky and had some sun. The courtyard garden at the back catches the evening sun and is a great place to relax after a long day walking, cycling and Kayaking. The space has obviously had a lot of thought put into it, well planned, very well maintained and sparkling clean. It has a kitchen you can actually prepare a large family meal in - no chopping veggies on your lap - which we really appreciated. We have stayed in a lot of cottages and apartments across Britain and Europe and would unreservedly say this is one of the very best. Go there and enjoy the wonderful Welsh countryside.

It has off street parking for multiple cars in our large private carpark. Puffin Cottage is pet friendly with free WiFi throughout.

Our onsite office enables you to make enquiries and book many of the boat trips, surfing courses, paddle boarding, beach horse riding or even sample coasteering in the areas that it was first introduced!
  • Josh's place was great. Lot's of room & a beautiful location. We didn't get to meet Josh but everything was clear & swiftly handled. The place was clean and had a great, equipped kitchen.

  • A great cottage set just up from the beach. Nice coastal walks either side and pub right out front! Comfy house with pretty much everything you need.

    Dave2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! We loved the setting, the view of the haven and bay, and the privacy. Guillemot is well-equipped, quiet, private and very comfortable. The help 24 hours on hand was reassuring and very friendly. We took our dog, who loved it! Being January, the Brasseries was closed, but the Mariners was open for drinks, and other pubs/restaurants around were open, and we got a Tesco delivery on arrival, which was really helpful. Beautiful beach, slightly scary cliff path (I have vertigo) but all-in-all we'll definitely be back!

    Richard2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for getting away from it all and exploring the sensational Pembrokeshire coast. Quality accommodation, spotlessly clean with good amenities.

    Paul2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Well equipped house in a great location. Hosts on site if needed. Will definitely visit again!

    Sarah2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic little cottage in an incredible location. We loved our stay here, and are already planning weeks to come back next year. Although the cottage is beautiful, the welcome is warm, and the views incredible, make sure to bring your own tea/coffee so you can relax after the long drive to get there. Also would have been nice to have hand soap in the bathrooms and more than half a roll of toilet paper in both bathrooms - or for this to be stated in the listing. But these are little touches that didn’t ruin our stay in the slightest. We’ll definitely be back!!

    Max2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely weekend stay here. The scenery is beautiful, so close to the beach. Which is clean and great for walks and searching for shells. The cottage was clean and had everything you need while away from home. We would highly recommend a stay here.

    Eira2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage in a small terrace of 4, owners on hand in the office, everything you could want is provided and spotlessly clean, wonderful shower and heating system which we needed for our stay 1st week in October great base for Solva, Broad Haven Haverfordwest, Little Haven and of course Nolton Haven is a lovely sheltered sandy beach and the cottage has wonderful views of the sea. The local stable did horse riding on the beach and people were surfing, swimming and kayaking. Some wonderful walks for the dog. A local place to eat was the cafe in Hilton Gardens which did lovely soup and sandwiches, great for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea we also went round the gardens which are lovely but you don't have to pay to just use the cafe a real gem, oh and the dog was allowed in too! A lovely place to stay anytime of the year. Much nicer than the usual dog welcome cottages as you felt the dog was definitely welcome and accommodated rather than being second class guests. well done Jim. Josh and family

  • What a lovely stay! We were really impressed with how clean, cosy and comfortable this place was. We loved the wood burning fire which was a great addition! It warmed us up after some lovely but wild walks around Pembrokeshire. The facilities in the kitchen were fantastic and we really liked that we had space to cook and do our own thing! Thank you so much, we will be back! :)

  • Wonderful stay in a beautiful location. Perfect relaxation.

  • Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Deb’s beautiful cottage! It is even more gorgeous than the photos, such a calming place to be. We were there on a very wet & stormy weekend and it was super cosy & comfortable. We ordered a breakfast hamper for Saturday, very worthwhile even if it is purely for the eggs - I swear they helped make the best Eggs Benedict I have ever tasted! We went to The Shed in Porthgain for dinner on Friday night & loved it so much we went back on Sunday before we left! For walks I would recommend Strumble Head - stunning views and, when we were there, no one to disturb the peace! You will not be disappointed booking Deb’s place! Thank you very much for a wonderful stay 😊

    Lucinda2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place. The pictures of The Old Stable are great however when the sun is shining on the sea as your sat in the living room looking out the view really is something to behold. Deb was great in communication throughout, the place was sparkling clean and well designed. We loved our stay and hope to return someday!

With fabulous sea views, Ty Newydd is a charming ground floor apartment situated within a barn conversion off a quiet road in Upper Solva. The living area and two of the bedrooms look out over a pretty garden and across over St Brides Bay. It is only a short downhill walk to Solva's picturesque harbour, and the various craft shops, pubs and restaurants the village has to offer. Also within easy walking distance is the Pembrokeshire coastal path and the local shop/newsagents/post office.

The location was perfect to explore St David’s and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path by day, and close enough to walk to local, friendly pubs by night. The apartment had everything we needed and the views of the sea was just the icing on the cake. Sian and Al were fab hosts, the communication before our trip was super helpful. We were so lucky to have our little dog stay with us too - he loved cosy nights in and walking all day. Thank you so much for having us, we hope to visit again soon.

Buzzard is a cosy cottage for two. It comprises of a kitchen area with fridge, oven, hob, granite work tops and a Belfast sink. Then into dining lounge area with TV and wood burner. Round the corner is a shower room with basin and WC. Upstairs is a cosy double bedroom with sloping ceilings and beams. Your dog is welcome as long as they stay off the soft furnishings and you clean up after them outside,we charge £3 per night per dog. The pub is about 25 minutes away on foot.
As the crow flies we are a mile away from the sea, there are lots of lovely beaches close by many where dogs are welcome.
As previously mentioned the pubs are down in Little Haven it is possible to walk down but you are partly on the road and coastal path. A torch would be useful at night to warn people you are there. There are 3 pubs, The Castle a gastro pub where you can take your dog. The St Brides is a more traditional pub offering a good and varied menu but not allowing dogs. The Swan is our favourite, beams and wood burners welcome you and Sunday lunch is always wonderful. Dogs are only allowed in the bar. There is also a holiday camp you pass on the way to the Cottages which is open to non residents for food and drinks.
  • We have stayed at this beautiful haven before and we are now officially hooked. The magical atmosphere of these cottages is just so perfect for restful weekends/weeks away. We live such busy, hectic lives that when we stop and go away we need everything that Bev and Paul offer. You will go once and it will exceed everything you expect and you will return time and time again. Pure magic ❤❤

  • A lovely comfortable and cosy cottage, perfect for our little break. We've stayed in these lovely cottages a coupleof times now and we're never disappointed. Cosy, warm and well located to get away from it all. Lovely little touches and excellent communication. We'll be back.

  • We had a lovely stay exploring the local area. We thought the accommodation was really nicely set out and the wood burner was a lovely touch. A stay at Talbenny Hall Farm is highly recommended.

  • Beautiful location, the photographs don’t even do it justice, you are literally right on the beach with direct access to the coastal path in the garden via a private gate. Accommodation was brilliant, kitchen had everything you’d need, shower room was clean and modern. Wonderful views from every window. Can not recommend this place enough. We will be back.

  • Incredible view; photos don't do it justice! Literally a stone's throw from the beach. Despite the stormy weather we had a lovely time and the cottage was warm and cosy. We will be back!

  • Coming in February I was most concerned that it wouldn’t be warm enough - but we were fine. Amazing view of the sea from dawn to dusk.

    Carl2019-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a special little spot. The views from this cottage are just magical. The house has everything you'd ever need and was cosy and warm, with the help of the electric heaters provided. We'll definitely be back, even in January. If in the area, try Mrs Will the Fish in Solva, she does a splendid lobster and crab platter to take away. Many thanks, Tom and Tanya.

  • We loved our stay here. The cottage has stunning views and the whole area is beautiful and quiet - the perfect escape. We enjoyed walking bits of the costal path and the getting back to watch the sun set. Great communication and welcome from David. The cottage is well equipped

  • We loved Glowty - it’s perfect for two or a small family. Light and spacious , well designed, beautifully furnished. Fab views across the countryside to the sea. Jan and John are just lovely. They looked after us so well and made a special effort to take the time to find out about dietary requirements and leave us a special selection of local produce. We had a fantastic peaceful weekend break - amazing walks, wildlife - and very close to StDavids. Thanks Jan and John!

  • Absolutely beautiful, clean and wonderfully kitted out cottage. Incredibly comfortable and clean and perfect level of welcome, warm and hospitable but not intrusive. Great surroundings and location and wonderful for the dog. Would love to come back

  • I can’t recommend Jan’s cottage enough! It was a gorgeous place, stunning scenery, fantastic local walks, and every home comfort you could possibly need. Jan added some nice touches too including leaving us some nice local cheese and bread. The cottage was very well equipped and we particularly liked the large private garden which was perfect for our two dogs. It’s been my favourite Airbnb so far!
