  • Michelle and Robin's place was so cozy! Really great to have your own little backyard with big, beautiful trees and a little porch to relax on. The bathtub with a large sun roof was great to relax in as well. Overall great stay!

  • What a lovely space. I also appreciated that the windows were open when we arrived. Small details that help us to see they're taking precautions with cleanliness and protecting immunity.

  • Truly remarkable and amazing, a slice of heaven or in this case a lemon bar of paradise. Really appreciated our time, feeling refreshed, relaxed and quite happy. Much needed and grateful to have had the opportunity to share such a sanctuary. Thank you for your hospitality!

  • This is a cozy wooded cabin space. Many extra items made the stay like being at home. The wine and lemon bars, coffee and cream, and many extra amenities made our stay even nicer.

  • Very cute little place, close to lots in Sebastopol. And the bed was amazing! The electric blanket and electric fireplace were very nice on a cold and windy night.

  • The place was amazing. I only put a bit better than expected because it was so highly rated I expected it to be pretty nice and it didn’t disappoint at all. We had a great time and really enjoyed the bottle of wine that we were met w as well as the lemon tarts. I can’t say enough about this place! Thanks again for the hospitality! I recommend this place to anyone looking in the area!

  • Lemon Moon cottage is such a welcoming serene place to stay ! There are so many thoughtful details to make it magical . The bed was comfy, the heater was great when it got cold in the evenings, the deck was the perfect place to see the stars come out at night and also perfect to practice yoga, drink tea and see the sunrise . Close enough to easily get to town and far enough away to fall asleep to crickets and frogs.

  • We had a great time in Sebastopol and enjoyed the cozy cottage. Hosts were super sweet and left a couple surprises for us which made our visit memorable. It was really great waking up and having a cup of coffee overlooking the creek. Perfect location to explore the area!

Shangrila has gotten even better. My son, Gino, & his sweet little dog, Frida, are cohosting with me. Gino is very knowledgable about the many hiking trails in the area. The delightful Occidental Bohemian Farmers Market runs Fri. evenings from the end of June till the end of Oct. If you long to get your hands dirty, but don't have a garden, we'll share ours. There's always something to do!
Your spacious room overlooks a redwood forest with a meadow & wooded hills beyond. You may think you want to visit Sonoma County vineyards, beaches, or the Russian River, but once you're here, you may not want to leave. The room is quiet. You have your own bathroom called "The Mexi" because of Mexican tiles & mementos of travels in that country. There is safe, off street parking. You are within walking distance of the picturesque village of Occidental where there are good restaurants, gift shops, & tennis courts. People also love to ride bicycles around here even tho the roads are narrow, curvy, & steep. We are early risers & will have coffee ready by 7:00 with a gourmet continental breakfast consisting of home pressed organic apple juice, homegrown organic seasonal fruits, homemade jam & a special sweet. We are well situated as a stopover, but we could also be a destination. We have lawn Bocce ball & horse shoes. For rest after those exertions, there are hammocks in the redwoods. There is such good bird watching here that the local Audubon stops here during their Xmas bird count. When the weather isn't conducive to outside time, there is a fireplace in the living room. We love to share this beautiful place. Come on over!
Shangrila is in a quiet, pretty neighborhood in Occidental.
  • Mary has a lovely place nestled in the redwoods at the end of a quiet road. The host was warm and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

    Stephanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's house is in a great location to see the Redwoods & also the coast. The bedroom & bathroom were clean & very comfortable, Mary, Gino & Freida were very welcoming, we also had time to sit out the back amongst the redwoods around their home. The beds were very comfortable, towels left to use & a kettle & mugs for tea...which is a great touch for the British like us that take teabags everywhere we go!! Occidental is a 5 minute drive & a lovely little town with some shops & restaurants for brunch/lunch (we ate in Howards) or dinner (Union Hotel Restaurant & Barley & Hops). The Redwoods in Armstrong Park are amazing & if you are fit enough take a hike on one of the Ridge paths, ensure you have a couple of bottles of water each, good shoes & walking poles if needed as it can get steep...but the views at the top are great.

  • My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Mary's. Mary and her son Gino (and his dog Frida) are wonderful hosts, super accommodating and personable. She made coffee cake for breakfast and there is always fresh fruit available. They told us about the local farmers market in Occidental and the Grove of Old Trees (a must-do easy walk). Her home is lovely -- I'd say a work of art -- in the most gorgeous setting in the redwoods. Every room has skylights to enjoy the towering redwoods. Idyllic. A wedding brought us to the area for the weekend, but if time permitted, I could have spent the days in a hammock under the trees and playing with Frida. I'm sorry we had to bug out so early Sunday morning for our long drive back to LA and miss saying goodbye. I love that Mary calls it "Shangrila," because it is!

  • Mary was helpful, kind, generous and well connected in her community. Not to mention her home is beautiful, well kept and has an organic, wholesome feel. Mary made us feel welcome in her home and we are so happy we stumbled upon Shangrila! Would stay there again.

Your own wine country cottage with its own bath and kitchen located on a small farm. The cottage is private, but we are available to answer any questions. The cottage has it's own yard and garden. The parking is right outside the cottage with no trails or steps to get to it. The cottage overlooks the farm and a eucalyptus grove. You may see our mini-horse "Comanche", chickens, a sheep or two meander by on the other side of the fence. The cottage is fully insulated for even temperature. It is bright, private, modern rustic with open ceilings and a Vermont Castings vented gas fireplace. A flick of the switch and "voila" a beautiful, warm fire in the hearth. The bathroom has a glass shower, no tub. There is a queen-sized bed with the most comfortable mattress imaginable. There is also full-size organic wool and cotton coil futon sofa that sleeps two. We provide only the highest quality cotton towels and bedding. The guests really appreciate it. And, you can cook there. We have 2 burner stove and small convection oven, lots of pots, pans, etc. We'd be happy to share our farm fresh eggs with you. They're so much better than store bought! The guests have exclusive use of a private yard, with seating. There is a small garden attached where they can help themselves to strawberries, greens for a salad or whatever else may be in season. While we have dogs, cats and farm animals on the property no animals are allowed in the cottage. Guests may not bring pets either. This ensures the cottage stays clean and allergen-free. We interact with guests as much as necessary for the guests. We assume people like their privacy, but we also love to meet people and show them around the farm if interested. We tend to let the guests determine how much interaction they want with us. We know the area well and are available to answer any questions. We also love to share our farm fresh goodies, like fresh eggs, veggies or fruit from our trees. Our farm is located in the Twin Hills area of Sebastopol. This desirable area is known for its rolling hills, apple orchards, Christmas Tree Farms, and vineyards. There are many beautiful walks to take right out the door. While you may feel far away from it all, downtown is less than a ten minute drive, and door to door we are twenty minutes to the beaches of Bodega Bay taking beautiful back roads right from our neighborhood. There are three main wine tasting routes nearby. For chardonnays and pinot noirs you can stay right in our appellation, the Russian River Valley, and Olivet Road to River Rd. Healdsburg is Dry Creek and Alexander Valley for merlots, zinfandels and cabernet sauvignon. All of these and more are nearby. Right in Sebastopol there is Iron Horse Vineyards, Lynmar, Balletto, Russian River Vineyards, Dutton Family Wines and many more. You will need a car to get around as there is no public transportation in our rural neighborhood. There is such a variety of things to do in our area. Sebastopol is famous for its award winning wineries, restaurants and antique shops. It also has an artsy bohemian feel, and many are dedicated to the slow food movement. Neighbors regularly trade their bounties with each other, such as milk, honey, eggs and veggies. There is also the beaches and cliffs of Bodega Bay (we provide beach chairs, towels, cooler, etc. upon request), and great swimming and picnicking at the Russian River. You can hike through beautiful redwoods at Armstrong Woods. And of course visit countless wineries and gourmet restaurants. We can fill you in on our favorite spots.

  • Cosy, clean and very well equipped little cottage. Easy access to downtown Sebastopol but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful nature of the neighborhood and nighttime sky full of stars. Very comfortable bed too. Mary has been very responsive during our stay. We look forward to coming back.

    Yasmin2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's cottage is idyllic. My partner and I came up for a quiet romantic getaway from our home in the bay. The cottage is perfect sized for 2. We enjoyed lazy afternoons between outings playing board games at the table and watching the stars at night on the swing set. The farm animals nearby were utterly charming and never woke us and check-in and out we're seemless. Mary's recommendations were comprehensive. This is a great little place if you want to explore Sebastopol and the Sonoma coast. Would love to stay again!

  • Mary & Bruce had been wonderful & gracious hosts on their beautiful property. They even provided us with farm fresh eggs that tasted absolutely delicious. Would definitely stay again.

  • Perfect little cottage for our weekend in Sebastopol.

    Emily2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my relaxing stay at Mary’s cottage. The space was quiet and squeaky clean. The bed; sheets, and comforter were so soft and comfortable, it was a chilly day but the gas fireplace kept it plenty warm. The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout. We especially liked the tall peaked ceiling with barn lantern.

  • A fantastic stay for those looking to disconnect from the modern world. This space is humble, yet beautiful. Carolyn was a great host and provided many great local tips. You'll enjoy waking up to wild turkey calls and walking around the property, exploring the waterfall and star gazing hut.

  • Carolyn and Gary have a beautiful property that allows you to escape and relax in peace. A hot tub overlooking the mountains, a bridge through the woods to a stargazing spot, a cozy cottage with a wood burning stove...we couldn’t have asked for more. Carolyn and Gary were quick to respond to any question we had and were absolutely fantastic hosts. Hope to stay again soon!

    Sarah2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place! Falling asleep under the stars and listening to the rain in Carolyn’s place was magical. It was the perfect escape for a couple. There is so much exploring to do on their property alone that I’ll definitely be back.

  • Our stay was amazing! Everything about this cabin is so serene. The hot tub is perfectly placed and it was just an amazing view. I would wake up early and sit it the solarium and soak up the sun while I drank some tea and read a book. Craig and Shane were very responsive and great hosts! We hope to stay here again.

    Valerie2020-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, lovely stay! I would highly recommend. The hosts were wonderful, thank you so much!

    Laura2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The retreat in the woods is extremely relaxing. Shane and Craig were very friendly hosts and made themselves available if needed. The place is a little small, so I would stick to no more than 4 people during a stay.

    Joe2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Shane & Craig’s cabin and grounds have a magical quality to them. The sun room was one of my favorite parts- plenty of natural light, peaceful silence, and lots of stars to gaze at from the hot tub. We’ll definitely be back!

    Michael2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Truly magical. Relax in the lounge chairs under the immense tree canopy and enjoy the bluebirds, hawks, and stars. The house is literally surrounded by trees with huge windows and skylights to enjoy from all sides. There was plenty of firewood left behind to light a fire to warm the house. The bathroom is spa-like overlooking the garden. Definitely recommend and will be back.

    Jessica2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is beautiful! The area is absolutely peaceful and great to enjoy the outdoors. The garden is really special and absolutely beautiful! Shane + Craig were great hosts - very responsive. Would love to come back some day!

**Important Coronavirus Info** Under the current state order, we are legally prohibited from hosting any short term rentals for tourism right now in Sonoma County. We have been informed by Sonoma County supervisors that short term rentals will not be permitted to reopen until phase 3 or 4. (We are currently in phase 2). See more info below in description.
**Coronavirus / Shelter in Place Information** Please also see info above in Summary. Please do not use instant book during this time for reservations. The current order says that we can not host any short term tourism reservations at this time. We are hoping this order will be lifted soon, but we really have no idea at this point when that will happen. According to our our board of Supervisors in Sonoma County, short term rentals and hotels reopening in California are under phase 3 or 4, so it could be awhile. We can only do month to month long term rentals of 31 days or more at this time. (Occupancy taxes are waived after 31 days) If the order is looking like it will be extended at the end of May through June then we will be asking current booked guests to cancel all short term June and early July reservations and we will instead be renting our home on a long term month to month basis. Please inquire if you are looking for a monthly rental in June or July. If you book for short term rentals for June or July right now, please be aware that we may need you to cancel your reservation or change your dates on your reservation if our order is not lifted by the beginning of June so we can do a month to month rental instead. Current Shelter in Place Order in Sonoma County reads as follows. Short term rentals and hotels may only operate as an essential business if they: -provide shelter for economically disadvantaged or otherwise needy individuals who are locals of Sonoma County, including individuals needing housing to ensure adequate social distancing -support housing necessary for an essential business to operate (i.e. housing traveling nurses).” Violation of or failure to comply with this Order is a misdemeanor punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both. COVID Cleaning Protocols: Our cottage is professionally cleaned from top to bottom between each guest. Our cleaners immediately open up all the doors and windows upon arrival and keep them open during cleaning and after. (We also ask the previous guests to open windows before they leave) Our cleaners wear masks and gloves the entire time they are there, they clean all surfaces and then also go back and do a 2nd pass and disinfect all surfaces that guests come in contact with such as light switches, door handles, entry keypad, toilet handles, shower handles, amenities, refrigerator and stove handles, kitchen cuboard handles, faucets, nightstand handles, remote controls, remote control instructions, heating and AC controls, coffee, sugar, etc. etc. This is done every single time between each guest. We also have Hepa Filters running upstairs and downstairs upon your arrival and windows will be left open whenever possible for increased ventilation. We also provide disinfecting cleaner and paper towels under the sink as well for guests to use during their stay. Bowman Cellars tasting room is literally a three block walk from the cottage. (See area for more info) There are two restaurants within walking distance as well. • Please make sure you click on the location tab to read more about the location and neighborhood. • Our home has an entrance video ring camera floodlight for added security and to assist our guests in check in if needed. • We are fully permitted in Sonoma County as a vacation rental and we pay all required occupancy taxes and fees to the county. Located in the quiet and safe residential neighborhood of Graton. Graton is a small town filled with artists and environmentally minded people. We have very friendly neighbors. Some of our immediate neighbors are: metal sculpture artist, florist, pottery artist, textile artist and painter, photographer, animal activist, jewelry maker, montessori teacher, butterfly cultivator, art gallery manager, solar power business owner, shaman, backyard farmers and homesteaders, well you get the idea:)  Please note that the town of Graton is located in a rural setting, but the cottage itself is in a residential neighborhood with neighbors close by. Most of the time the neighborhood is very quiet and we live on a dead end street, but occasionally a neighbor may have a gathering during the day (extremely rare), or someone may be doing some construction or repair work on their house, kids may be playing, or someone may be doing landscaping, etc. In other words, there are direct close neighbors so if you are looking for a remote rural property that is silent with no neighbors this is not it.  Please be aware that we live in a rural area. You may hear crickets or even frogs at night. You may see squirrels jumping in trees next to the house. You may see wild turkeys, quail, deer, bats, hawks, or even an owl here and there either down on the nature trail or just walking down the street. You may see a beautiful red dragonfly drinking from the pool, ladybugs or even a spider or hummingbird on occasion in the backyard. In the spring, summer, or fall you may see some paper wasps (not aggressive unless they are attacked) or bees here and there on plants or flying around in the backyard and in the surrounding neighborhood. Leave them alone and they will leave you alone, we have never been stung the whole time we have lived here and a guest has never been stung either. If you are allergic though, you should stay elsewhere to be safe. We regularly check for paper wasp nests in the summer and get rid of them Immediately but if you are in this west county area you may still see some flying around here and there outside in the summer. They are a part of the natural environment here and serve a purpose, everyone we know in the area has some on their property and we have to learn to coexist with them to some extent in this natural environment. We hardly even notice them anymore, although we do go to great lengths to do everything we can to control them on our property but obviously we can never be totally in control of nature. You may see fake paper mache nests as a wasp deterrent or you may smell some slight peppermint or clove oil in an essential oil diffuser outside as a deterrent as well. If you are someone that needs a 100% controlled environment without any of these "nature" elements, then please find a different property that is more suitable to your needs. Also, please remember to look up and enjoy the stars at night, they are bigger and brighter here! The cottage is located in the heart of it all. Countless wineries / vineyards in the area to go wine tasting. Five minute walk to downtown Graton restaurants such as The Underwood, and Willowood. Five minute walk to the fabulous Bowman Cellars Wine Tasting Room which is three blocks away. Red Car and Dutton and many other great wineries are a quick five minute drive from the cottage. Five minute drive to the Barlow and the town of Sebastopol. Five minutes to Forestville. Ten minutes to Occidental.  Fifteen minute drive to Guerneville. Ten minutes to Russian River. 20 minute drive to the beach (Bodega Bay) 25 minutes to Healdsburg (take the back way, very pretty drive).
  • ******STOP READING REVIEWS******* This is the best AirBnB we have ever stayed at! Just book this place already if it’s not too late. Everything is perfect at the Farm House Oasis. Pillow bar, welcome snacks, high-end appliances and cookware, aromatherapy sprays, super comfy bed, nice TV with easy to Netflix Amazon TV and HBO. The list goes on and on. My wife and I stayed here for a month and wished we extended our stay longer. Trinette & Chris are super friendly and awesome and made out stay amazing!!

    Keith2020-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Same as all other reviews, Trinette and Chris place was absolutely gorgeous, clean and cozy to stay. Every touch at the Farmhouse Oasis is superb, better than great hotels in the Sonoma area. Communication with Trinette and Chris was great and fast. It was hard to leave the house... Would love to stay for another time. ✨🙏🏻

  • What a find! From the moment we walked in, until the time we left, we felt like we were on vacation at a little private oasis. We loved the open feeling, fresh white decor and greenery throughout the home and back yard. It felt so private and yet we were able to walk to dinner, and get to a trailhead in no time. We cannot wait to come back!

    Lori2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We've stayed in AirBnBs all over the world, and this is one of the most incredibly-styled and appropriately-detailed spaces we've ever stayed in. It was the perfect place to get away and rejuvenate.

    Tanner2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home, great communication, thoughtful touches! Loved everything about our stay!

    Jack2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • WOW!! I’m pretty sure no other Airbnb will ever top this one. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Farmhouse Oasis for four nights and they were 4 of the best with amazing hosts. That attention to detail and all the extra special touches are what makes this B&B the best. It truly felt like we were staying at a luxury resort with the welcome gift, pillow bar, bathrobes, the essential oils and sprays, the tub and soaking salts, the coffee bar, etc etc. it was an experience that we will never forget and I can’t wait to return. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

    Amy2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing space. We wanted a quiet get away and this was just perfect. Close to several restaurants and wineries but not too busy. Just loved all the details and the private backyard and pool was better than I expected. Worth every penny. I would definitely stay here again.

    Lance2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, what a special special place! From the minute you walk in you immediately feel the clean and relaxing energy. I absolutely loved the furnishing and design. There are so many amenities you can’t find at most Airbnb’s. We had our dog Milo with us and he felt right at home. We are so grateful to Trinette and Chris for all of their recommendations and communicating quickly throughout our stay. We will definitely be back hopefully sooner than later.

Three bedrooms plus a music room that can have a queen air bed should you need it in the countryside among organic apple orchards and vineyards in beautiful Sebastopol. Wrap around deck, stunning views. Soak in the hot tub, cook in our fully equipped kitchen and enjoy the splendours of Sonoma County.
We live in the countryside in and around organic apple orchards and vineyards in beautiful Sonoma County. Our home has a wrap around deck with gorgeous views. The ocean is a 17 minute drive and a trip from here to San Francisco will take one hour. Santa Rosa airport is a 30 minutes drive away. Soak in the hot tub, visit our daughter's hens, and enjoy the eggs if you wish (we'll leave some in the fridge), and help yourselves to what is growing in our garden and then cook up a feast in our open style kitchen while enjoying the views. We have pear, peach, apple, persimmon and apricot trees, to name a few, with a Meyer lemon tree to greet you at the front door. BBQ on the deck while sipping wine or enjoy a walk down our country lane. Know that our land is very private, but we do live in a neighborhood and have a 9pm-9am quiet policy to insure the tranquility of all the folks that live around us, so we ask for folks to respect this policy. Our home has three bedrooms ( 2 queen beds and one double bed) with 2 full bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own access onto the deck. We also offer two queen sized airbeds if needed which will be set up in the music room if needed. And we have a portable infant co-sleeper crib and a pack-and-play which can be set up anywhere. It's only a 10 minute drive to downtown Sebastopol where you'll find many shops, live theater and a multi-plex cinema. Sonoma County is famous for its vineyards, wineries and gourmet restaurants, all of which are close by. We're happy to recommend our favorites... The Armstrong Woods Redwood Forest is just 30 minutes away or just stay put for a perfectly peaceful getaway and a great place to meet Northern California at its finest. This is a family friendly home filled with many books, netflix and DVD's for both children and adults. We have two kitties, Oberon and Jezamo, who remain outside during your stay, but you're welcome to invite them in if you wish. We'd love to hear from you if you have any questions. Cheers, Karen and Eddie Make yourselves at home. We have teas and coffee for you, a piano and numerous stringed instruments, DVDs galore and enough music for endless inspiration. Of course sheets, towels, soaps etc. are all included. It is your home after all. We're close enough that we'll be here if you need us and far enough away that you'll have privacy as if it were your own home. The town of Sebastopol is quaint, yet it has all the amenities you could ask for. Movie theatre, wineries, beer and cider brewing pubs, ice cream shops, hiking, shopping, spas, music venues, Armstrong woods, Russian River, the beach… The list is endless, but you'll find details at our home of our top picks. The hard part will be leaving the house, because once you get here you've got views, hot tub, relaxing, cooking, talking, walks…. Remember, It's No Place Like Home, It's a Holiday! Easy parking right next to our home. Car rentals available in town and at Santa Rosa Airport which is only 30 minutes away. The house is all on one level and wheelchair accessible (no bars in the shower though). We have a TV for our many DVD's and Netflix, and basic cable.
We love Sebastopol. Sunday Farmer's Market, Thursday seasonal Barlow Market, brew pubs, wine tasting, cinemas, theater, hiking, biking, shopping. And, it's Sonoma County!
  • My girlfriends and I had a wonderful one night stay at Karen & Eddie’s beautiful house. Karen was very communicative and the house was clean and inviting. The hot tub was super relaxing and everyone was comfortable. Would stay there again!

  • Karen and Eddie were very responsive and their house was beautiful. My friends had a wonderful time and especially loved the fresh eggs!

  • Karen and Eddie are wonderful hosts and were so kind to let us into their home. They greeted us kindly and were very attentive. They were clear with the house rules and they had several special touches for us that made the stay unique including fresh eggs from their chickens and lemons from their tree. We wish we could have stayed longer but are grateful for the experience we had!

    Sophia2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible home, opened to us by warm and friendly hosts Karen and Eddie. Spacious, quiet, comfortable home with beautiful amenities and gorgeous views. The night my friends and I spent visiting here was unforgettable, and we enjoyed every moment.

    Magdalena2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The house looks exactly the same as in the pictures. It’s very well laid out, with plenty of dishes and cookware. Karen is extremely responsive and the hosts have put together a great guide accessible after you book. Thoughtful touches everywhere. This makes a wonderful weekend escape.

    Wendy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Karen and Eddie’s home. It is a great house- very relaxing and big enough for our group of 6.Karen was very responsive and even let our kids visit the chicken coop. We’d definitely be back and for a longer visit next time!

    Shweta2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This house is a true California gem! The interior decor is so warm and inviting, we felt like we were at a family member's house! There were six of us total and the house was extremely spacious. The kitchen is a dream to cook in, so plan on having a meal or two there! I highly suggest breakfast on the deck, so you can watch the fog subside over the foothills. The view at night is even better, as you can really see stars! Karen and Eddie provided clear check-in instructions and also offered tips of what to do in the area. We had the chance to meet them and they were so welcoming. We hope to make a trip back!

Charles gave great suggestions about free things to do in the area (including champagne-tasting!) I highly recommend this place; I'd book it again in a heartbeat.

Santa Rosa is close to wineries, parks, good restaurants, music. My home is about 1 mile from downtown, was built in 1906, has a small private room & bath, claw foot tub, NO SHOWER. No smokers please. Close to bus line, breweries and shops. Lovely area for walking. Pets under 20 lbs ok. I have 3 small friendly dogs who greet you.
Great part of Santa Rosa, close to downtown. Nice area of old homes, many older than mine which was built in 1906. I have tried to keep that old feel to the house and I want it to feel warm and friendly. Private room with large private bathroom but no shower, sorry.
My home is an Historic District with many older homes and trees. It a lovely area to just take a walk.

  • Linda’s place is very charming! Her pups do bark a little when you first get in but that didn’t bother me at all. Very close to downtown in a cute neighborhood. The room is very small but perfect for one. There is a tub only but that wasn’t really a problem for me. Linda was very nice and made my stay easy. You can’t beat the price for a place to crash

This studio “tiny house” has one queen bed and a double convertible sofa. THe sofa is fine for children, but not very comfortable for an adult. Prefer 1-2 guests, but will consider 3 with discussion. Close to shopping, restaurants, theaters, parks, short drive to downtown. 30 minutes to the beach. 12% tourism and city taxes included in price, so you only pay the price you see!
This is a brand new 200 square foot "tiny house" and I am so excited about it! The queen bed is very comfortable and the sofa converts to a double bed. If 2 adults want to sleep separately in the house, please let me know. The conversion process is a little tricky - I will leave out the directions and also make the extra linens available. I would charge an extra $5 for use of the second bed - to help cover cost of laundry. This little house feels very light, airy, spacious, and also quiet and private. It sits across the yard from my house - it is near the chicken run and I would be remiss if I didn't tell you that the chickens do get up with the sun! I try to get out and give them their morning treat the minute I hear them. I hope you will enjoy their company as much as I do. PLEASE NOTE - THE PRICE QUOTED ON AIR BNB INCLUDES THE 12% TOURISM AND CITY TAX, SO YOU ONLY PAY THE PRICE YOU SEE!
The best thing about my neighborhood is that we are 1 block from Montgomery Village which has some great shopping and dining - various bands provide music in the mall all summer long. There are several really good dining places as well as causal restaurants and places to get "goodies" Even though we are close to all this, the neighborhood is very quiet. Parks, theaters, downtown restaurants and activities are a short car ride away and the little house is in the middle of wine country.
  • Easy well lit dedicated access to your own private space. Beautiful yard. Walking distance from great stores and boutiques. Bike ride to some nice parks. Perfect short stay it a stunning part of California

    Mark2020-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house had a lot to offer! The location was great, the house clean, cute, and inviting. Super peaceful and serene. I loved the sound of running water from the pond, the adorable friendly dogs, and the sounds of clucking from the chickens. Inez is a thoughtful and generous host, definitely a Super Host!

  • Inez's tiny house was exactly what my girlfriend and I needed for our vacation through Napa. At most an hour away from most wineries, it was in a great location and provided easy access across Napa and Santa Rosa. The house itself is relatively small, but not cramped. Everything was extremely clean and well located. Check-in and check-out were very simple. We would gladly stay here again!

  • Highly recommend. This tiny house is exceptionally clean. Inez goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Excellent location. Napa and Sonoma Valley's within driving distance. If we return to the area, Inez will be our first choice for lodging.

We are making our space available only for medical professionals and other essential workers at this time. We are allowing 72 hours between guests to facilitate cleaning and disinfecting - we are following CDC protocols for these, along with social distancing and hygiene. The room is a private, quiet bedroom and full bath suite on the downstairs level of a 2 story house. It is accessed by an electronic code, so no personal interaction is minimized.
You will be downstairs privately by yourself. Wifi is provided for easy connectivity. There is a large desk in the room, along with hangers, an ironing board and iron, a luggage rack and closet shelves, a mini fridge, a Keurig coffee maker with coffee and tea options, and a variety of snacks.
The house is located in the northwest area of Santa Rosa - close to Sutter and Kaiser hospitals, freeways, redwoods, wineries and breweries. The neighborhood is known locally as Coffey Park - much of the neighborhood burned to the ground in the wildfire of 2017 - fortunately, and with extreme gratitude for the firefighters, our home was spared. But much of the neighborhood is now in the rebuild stage, and it is interesting to drive through.

    Hailey2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jasen and Stephanie were the best. My husband had been in a horrible car accident and to be admitted to a local hospital 3hrs away from home. I reached out them and explained my situation. They were so caring right from that moment I reached out to them through the AirBNB. My first night I got there (late), they were still up. Most caring individuals, felt like was visiting family that I hadn’t seen in a long time. 💓

There is no air conditioning in the studio, but there is a fan provided. Backyard is shared, but often private for you. Just let us know if you'd like something special, and we'll do what we can to accommodate. We love to get to know our guests if the opportunity arrises and of course appreciate the interests of privacy and seclusion. The Junior College Neighborhood is the oldest neighborhood in Santa Rosa. It is rich in diverse architecture with homes dating back into the late 1800's. The area is great for walking, and has an incredible variety of heritage trees. Downtown is a 5-10 minute walk, taking you to some great restaurants and breweries. Russian River Brewery, Belly, La Vera, El Coqui Puerto Rican cuisine, Sizzling Tandoor, County Bench, Historic Railroad Square, and other ethnic and gastro-pub eateries, are all within a 5-15 minute walk.
The Junior College neighborhood is the oldest and largest organized neighborhood is Santa Rosa with many homes having been built at the end of the 19th century. It is a beautiful area for walking where you will see some truly amazing homes with incredible landscaping. You will also get a taste of why Santa Rosa is named "The City of Trees"

Our tree shaded studio cottage has just been remodeled. We added new floors, new cabinets, a new counter top, a new over the stove microwave and painted! It is one block from the heart of downtown. Stay just a two block walk from Russian River Brewing. This clean and quiet cottage has a full kitchen, a comfortable queen bed. The cottage is only available for those who meet the new Sonoma County guidelines for temporary housing until the ban is lifted.
The cottage is clean, comfortable and private
My cottage is right downtown. If you want to be able to be in the center of the action this is the place for you. If you want to be able to walk to restaurants, theaters, bars, pubs and shops this is the place for you.
  • The cottage was comfortable and so convenient. The host, Matthew, was available to help with any items we needed. A great stay.

Just steps away from the Courthouse Square and only a few more over to Railroad Square, this bedroom has double paned windows with blackout shades. The 2nd bed is a queen size air mattress. Price includes 12% tax. As the average annual high for Santa Rosa is ~71F there is no AC, however the room has a fan.
The room features a writing desk, a queen sized bed, a double sink vanity, a 4.4CF mini-fridge.

  • So far probably my best experience with an Airbnb host. Krissie was so kind and sweet, she really made us feel at home. It’s very close to downtown Santa Rosa. I definitely recommend this place. About a 13 minute walk, 4 minute drive to Russian River Brewery co. It was very comfortable, plenty of space. And I can’t express enough how kind krissie was.

    Luis2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Krissie’s home is beautiful, comfortable and easy to locate. Krissie met us at the door and treated us like family. The space was warm and inviting. We definitely will return.

  • We stay in Airbnbs a lot and were super hosts our selves. This Adorable house is in an amazing location. This was our first shared household experience. We stayed here while evacuated from the recent fire. We were treated as family in their lovely home. We were made to feel welcome and cared for at the utmost level. We highly recommend this charming home and family. PS. The bed was so comfortable! Not often the case.

  • It was my first time using airbnb, this place was very beautiful and caught my eye. I got very excited looking through the photos when booking and was very pleased when I saw this home in person. Very clean, very quiet, and very comfortable. I felt completely at home even though my stay was only 2 nights. I can't wait to book again soon for my next visit!

We are located in a residential neighborhood in the middle of wine country. Shops, restaurants and theatres within walking distance or use bus line around corner. Located 20 miles from beautiful Northbay beaches. Central location for exciting day adventures in Sonoma County.
This is a small but comfortable room in a family home. We honor the quiet hours but during the day we can have moments of business. You are apt to run into a teenager or a dog or two. They are all friendly.
We live in the Grace Tract neighborhood. It is centrally located in Santa Rosa. Less than 100 yards from the house is a small neighborhood shopping center that houses a gourmet market, pizza shop, coffee kiosk, bakery(temporarily closed), and famous Willi's wine bar. Great wine and tapas. Plus a yoga studio and beauty salon.
  • Carolyn and Erwin's home was lovely. Clean, well appointed, and a great location. I enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood, especially into the McDonald Historic District, where there were beautiful homes and grounds to look at.

  • This house was perfectly located if you are visiting Sonoma, we were about a 15-20 minute Uber from the vineyards we were scheduled at. The grocery store was right down the street as well. We had three people staying, the bed was very large and clean and the person who stayed on the couch said it was very comfortable as well. It was still a little cold to use the outdoor amenities, but we enjoyed our stay overall.

Santa Rosa has a lot of restaurants and other places besides wineries so it was worth it. The place is small but perfect for 2 ppl. We really enjoyed the little touches that victor had.

This is the perfect place to spend your Wine Country vacation or just a weekend getaway. A 500-square foot private 1 bedroom granny in a quiet safe neighborhood. We want very much for this to feel like your home away from home when visiting Sonoma County. Thanks, Rhonda & Jeanine.
This is one of the best places to enjoy the Sonoma County experience. This one bedroom unit has a fully furnished full-sized kitchen complete with microwave, stove/oven, refrigerator and lots of extras. There’s a queen-size SleepNumber bed and large closet in the bedroom. The couch turns into a twin hide-a-bed. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo. The living room has room to sit and enjoy conversations about the fun you had today. You can come and go as you please with all the privacy you need. There’s a private side yard for you to sit and enjoy your morning coffee OR if you don’t mind our little dogs you can sit in our backyard and enjoy the koi pond. We have everything you need to feel like this will be your home away from home getaway.
Santa Rosa is a bustling community with lots of activities, shopping, parks and hiking/biking trails. We are very close to the Joe Rodota Trail if you would enjoy an 8+ mile bike ride through west Santa Rosa and Sebastopol. We even have a private yard to store your bike for safety should you bring or rent one. Check out visitsantarosa.com for all the current activities and events happening in Santa Rosa. We are very close to the Sonoma County wine area just north on US 101. To the east is the Napa Valley with all it has to offer. South is the charm of Petaluma and the excitement of San Francisco - less than an hour’s drive from here. To the west just 30 minutes is the beautiful Sonoma Coast and scenic drive up and down Hwy 1. We are 7 minutes from the Graton Casino!!!!!
  • I highly recommend Rhonda & Jeanine’s place. It was the perfect space to stay while visiting with friends. It had everything we needed, plus extra touches that made staying there even better. It was immaculate with helpful information to make the visit even better. I plan to stay with them again next time I’m in Santa Rosa!

  • What a great find! Our room was super comfortable, bed was cozy. Private bathroom was so nice to have! Host allows use of kitchen which we didn’t need except to microwave and get a few ice cubes. Parking on the street in front of the house is limited to 2 hours except for local residents but Krissie had a pass available which she trusted us to use and return to her. Check in and out is smooth and easy. Location is fabulous, we walked to shopping and dining easily. • Great place— friendly- clean

  • Charles is an amazing host. Super clean. Super helpful on things to do in the area. Charles has a great breakfast selection to get your day started. 10/10 would come back and book with Charles!

  • My wife and I really enjoyed the hospitality at Charles's place in Santa Rosa. Everything from communications to check in and out went very smoothly. The guys at the house (Charles's son and another guy, Tim) were welcoming from the moment we drove up. Sadly due to time we didn't actually meet Charles over our one night stay, but he recommended a great local spot, Armstrong woods, as did Tim, Russian River brewery. The house is very unique with an individual decorating touch, and clean as well. Location is superb too for a quick drive downtown. Breakfast supplies were great, as was eating outside in the backyard.

  • Great place to stay, helpful and accommodating hosts, all the amenities you need

    Felix2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Charles' house is delightfully unique and the hospitality is friendly and genuine. I had a one night stay and I just wish it had been longer. Charles made everything from start to finish really easy with clear directions and pictures, which was a huge help, especially since I arrived at night. One tip, the courtyard bedroom is directly across from the shared bathroom, which is great if you tend to get up in the middle of the night to use it, like me. However, you can hear people coming and going from the bathroom (but not actually using it!), so if you are a light sleeper or plan on sleeping late I'd recommend one of the other rooms. Charles does provide ear plugs though.

  • Loved the stay! Would recommend!

  • Lovely home in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Comfortable bed and charming host.

    Keri2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The communication from Charles was great from the start. He provided a photo for parking that was helpful as I arrived after dark. The room was super clean and very neat. The best part was the fan in the closet - an unexpected but so appreciated white noise sound. As I was departing he offered coffee and a yogurt for the road. I'll definitely stay again when I need a place in Santa Rosa. Thanks!

We did not meet our host but everything was exactly as he explained it would be. While it is tucked away in a hillside neighborhood just above Montgomery Village, you are very close to wineries, shopping and restaurants. The bed is firm, and the bath tub is deep. (perfect!)

  • Perfect for a little getaway! The location has some great eateries and things to do. It’s in a quiet area with a beautiful view. It was perfect for us!

    Corrine2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Repeat guests. We stayed here 2 years ago over Christmas and did so again this year as it gives us our own space outside the crowded family home. We need to try to make it up when the weather is better so we can enjoy the deck and garden more. Place is great and perfect for our needs. Fire place as the heater was perfect for winter and we enjoyed the hot tub with the jets to soak in.

    Rachel2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great find in Santa Rosa! Super serene and beautiful area, and it was easy to get to everything. Parking and check-in was easy, and the guesthouse was spotless. Rick was super quick at communicating and even gave us a few suggestions of places to check out.

  • Great B&B in Sonoma Co. Superhost so friendly, informative & helpful. B&B is so comfy, quiet & peace ful. Very clean & sterile, so greatly appreciative of their attention to details like that in this very difficult & somewhat "scary" time. Anyone traveling should be very confident in choosing Carolyns' Place to stay in Sonoma Co. Great location.

Our home is in a quiet family neighborhood in Santa Rosa’s semi-rural Rincon Valley, about a mile off State Highway 12. Please note: through May 3, our rooms are available only for those who are either traveling through the area for or staying here and involved in essential work as designated by the Sonoma County Health Officer. (See https://socoemergency.org/order-of-the-health-officer-of-the-county-of-sonoma/). Our West Room is a private bedroom with a queen bed. (Single bed available).
The West Room is right off the main entrance to the home. Access includes our living and dining rooms, as well as our back patio during the warmer seasons — the perfect place to enjoy our rose garden, cool summer breezes and fall foliage changes. We are equidistant from the Bodega Bay beaches, Calistoga and St. Helena (Napa Valley), the historic towns of Sonoma and Healdsburg, as well as the Russian River and our local Redwoods. Walk out into the neighborhood and you’ll find a string of local trails that run by creeks, great for walking, jogging, biking, etc. Within a 5 minute’s drive is Spring Lake Regional Park, offering more hiking areas, boat and kayak rentals, fishing spots, as well as off-road biking trails, camping and RV sites, a swimming lagoon, and an interpretive nature museum. And you’re just 10 minutes from downtown Santa Rosa and to State Highway 101, which takes you to the north to Ukiah and the Mendocino coast. It’s about an hour to the Golden Gate and San Francisco. We can recommend great places to wander through nature, as well as museums and fun local shops and a variety of restaurants. We look forward to your visit. (See also the section entitled “The Neighborhood”)
We are in Northeast Santa Rosa, in the area known as Rincon Valley, an area of beautiful parks, great walking trails that go along several creeks that go through the community and connect to others that lead into the main part of the town. Nearby are local regional and state parks with recreational opportunities. Located less than half an hour from us are a number of tourist destinations in Sonoma and Napa counties. Just around the corner within walking distance of our home, there’s a neighborhood market called Oliver’s. They are a high quality grocery store, with an ample make-your-own salad bar, an excellent prepared meal hot bar, a sushi bar, and a taqueria. They also have an awesome fresh deli for takeout sandwiches. A local laundromat is in the same shopping center. There are also a good variety of places to eat within 15 minutes or less of our home.

We're in Santa Rosa between the Sonoma coast and the wine country. We are less than a mile from Howarth Park and Spring Lake which has walking and biking trails, playgrounds, fishing and swimming. Great restaurants are nearby as is the Russian River Brewing co. You'll have a private entrance with a deck and plenty of street parking. A king size bed with a closet, small kitchenette and a living room. Also a FrontGate blow up bed on a frame off the floor for additional people. Motorcycle friendly
The suite has a private entry. Look for the Airbnb logo next to the gate, this is your access to the back yard and parking is open right in front. Feel free to interact with us if you'd like or keep your privacy. You may find us in the back yard tending the garden in the evenings. Our cats are indoor and outdoor and friendly. If they hear you out and about they may come and say hi. We keep our small Schipperke dog "Bobby" in our side of the yard. You may hear him bark when the mailman comes in the afternoon.
It's a great neighborhood for taking an evening walk or stroll.
  • This is a charming space in a great neighborhood in Santa Rosa. The kitchen had all the necessities, a functional layout, and surprisingly large sink which is so often lacking in compact spaces. It made preparing meals very easy. The lavender bath products were also a nice touch. I’d love to see the veggie garden in all its glory in the summer time!

    Kim2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very grateful for this lovely little home to stay at with my family! It’s pretty tough to find family friendly places in Sonoma County. (Great location near Howarth Park and grocery stores too!) The hosts were so kind, and their home was so comfortable and easy to stay at - I really appreciated having all the things we could need provided! It’s such a relief to feel like you’re at a home away from home. Would definitely recommend! Thank you!

  • Lovely cottage to stay in! I was only in Santa Rosa for a short stay, but loved the quaintness of the cottage and the beautiful backyard to wake up to. I arrived late at night and Sally-Ann left the heater on to keep the cottage warm on arrival! It was also nice to have little snacks that she left, even coconut water in the mini-fridge. The unit was spotless, the bed very comfy and the self-check-in was a breeze. I didn't have a chance to use the coffee maker or TV, but wireless worked perfect. I'd def stay here again!

    Irene2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • All in all, this was a gorgeous stay! The space was stylish, the bed was super comfortable, and the yard was absolutely marvelous! Check-in was easy. Would stay here again! Thank you!

    Dominique2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sally-Ann's Airbnb is the perfect spot for a weekend away in wine country. The space is very comfortable and stylishly decorated. Sitting outside by the fire pit was the perfect way to both start and end our days; the backyard is so peaceful and it's as if you have it all to yourself. Plus, her house is just a short walk to the downtown square. Sally-Ann was very welcoming and responsive, and it was lovely to meet her in passing one morning. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
