Kirsten and John were so responsive and helpful and had a wonderful and thoughtful space. We'd absolutely stay again!

Is there an option for 6 stars? Kirsten and John have done a stellar job at cultivating the perfect home-away-from-home. Our stay surpassed expectations and, including our out-of-the-country Airbnb rentals, I felt like this Kirsten and John’s home has been the best experience yet. Guest access is easy, as their flat is located within close proximity to downtown Mobile (where there are bookoodles of things to see and do, eat and drink). We were in town for Mardi Gras 2020 and most of the roads were blocked off, not to mention parking fees are outrageous, so we managed to avoid the chaos by parking at Kirsten and Johns and simply walking to downtown (you have the option to bike as well thanks to their thoughtful biking tree out back for guests). Coffee, tea, and wine were all available for our enjoyment, but the real kicker for myself and my husband was the array of intentional, story-filled touches around the flat. These people have done it all, y’all. They have been to 49 different countries, and it is so interesting to see it through their lens as a guest. The ambiance was perfect and any outside noice was quickly silenced by their lovely noise machine (the room is nautically-themed and there were peaceful beach waves playing in the background for us as we arrived to our room). We were provided with everything we needed, communication was excellent, and we would highly recommended booking this Airbnb (this will unquestionably be our spot from now on when we are in town, and I think there is a lot to be said for that). Thank you, Kirsten and John, for adding to our already beautiful roster of adventures and for inspiring us to continue doing what we do. Your home was the perfect addition to a memorable, beautiful getaway.

They had everything laid out for the check in. And it’s in the best location!!

We stayed at David's for our honeymoon trip. It was very nice and located close enough to so many fun things. We are at Pirate's Bar and Grill (we highly recommend it!) and got Hunt's Bros Pizza from the Chevron (we got it twice because it was so yummy!). We went to both ends of the island and saw Fort Gaines and the Estuariuam while there. We even drove a bit to see the USS Alabama battleship and some gators in Mississippi. It was a great stay and David's place was perfect for us!

David's house is our favorite place to stay on DI. Reasons include the central location relative to the various parks, businesses and walking path; the fully outfitted kitchen, washer and dryer; and acceptance of pets. David is quick with responses to questions or any issues. He is also clear in his descriptions of the house. There is no cable TV or wifi as is stated in the on-line description. Note that if you are in great need of an internet connection beyond your cell phone, you can take a short walk over to the community center during their business hours and use their wifi for no charge.

David’s place was great, just what we were looking for. Quiet and relaxed. Close to everything. Communication from David was excellent. Although we never met face to face, he seemed like a super. I’ve guy and very responsive. We really appreciated the bikes, and also the charcoal grill. Was a perfect time away at the beach for us.

Nice clean home with very comfortable beds and great places to go

This place was great! The washer and dryer were much appreciated, as we have two little boys and couldn't pack much! Two bicycles on hand were much enjoyed by our boys, and the 5 mile bike ride to the east end of the island was my favorite part. Great beaches! Check out Fort Gaines, great history!

Katie & Matt were such great hosts! We had everything we needed. I loved that all the plugs were baby proofed and there were some toys for my son to play with! The Kate Spade decor was also a very cute touch! I would totally stay here again when I’m passing through town!

Everything about this place is perfect. Great location - close to everything yet in a quiet safe neighborhood. Super clean and stylish. The little things were thought of too - fresh flowers, plush towels and bedding, and coffee. I will be staying here again in the future.

This is the cutest loft! We were in town for a wedding and it was just what we needed. It was easy to find, had plenty of space, and was in a beautiful area of Mobile.

Jenni’s place was super clean, comfortable and had a “spa” vibe. Close to restaurants, shopping and just minutes from downtown, it was convenient to everything we wanted/needed. We loved our time here and will recommend to friends!

The Place is exactly what it looks like on the pictures. The air BnB is nicely decorated with thoughtfull details like a box for dirty dishes or bathrobes. If you like shows like „fixer upper“ you will love Jeannines place. The air BnB is a bathroom and a loft ontop of the garages. It has a separate entrance so you have all the privacy you want. Jeannie is just a short message away and helped us whenever we had questions. The property looks very clean and tidy and we really enjoyed our short stay in mobile. We hardly recommend staying at this place.

Cortney's place was such a Comfy and Cozy historic gem! Me and my husband frequently take weekend trips to Mobile and typically stay in the downtown area. I'm a sucker for b&bs and historic inns and hotels. I've stayed in 2 of the more popular ones in the area and Cortney's place was on par with both of them (honestly a little better due to the privacy!). The neighbors were nice and friendly and the bed was a Godsend after a long day of activity. Everything you would need for a quick couple weekend... even bonus "Netflix and Chill" snacks! Lol. Cortney was even willing to accommodate a later checkout! Would definitely stay again! Thanks again for a wonderful stay in Mobile! ----Kal and Herb

The cottage was so cozy and adorable! I was sad to have to head home. The bed was super, super comfortable after a night of exploring Mobile. Cortney left little snacks, which were much appreciated, and a whole binder full of things to do. I definitely recommend!

The Bright-May house is a a great Mid-Town stay. My wife and I loved it, and will be coming back again.

The house was just a few blocks away from downtown, we stayed for A few nights to celebrate Mardi Gras and the house was in a good location.

Clifton's place was great! Convenient to downtown with easy, onsite parking. He greeted us at the property, and showed us around the place himself upon arrival.

It was a great place to stay while exploring downtown mobile for a few days.

Clifton's 3rd floor condo is clean and inviting with a balcony that faces government street. It is a safe and quiet area with the exception of rush hour traffic road noise. There is a Winn-Dixie grocery store next door, a Starbucks 2 to 3 blocks away and a Waffle House a mile at most. Clifton is a fantastic host honest and straight forward.

Clifton is a very nice gentleman who truly cares about meeting his guest needs. I would recommend his place to anyone.

The location is awesome. The apartment is nicely furnished with interesting maps and cool travel pieces. Loved the feel of the place. Especially liked the walking tour maps and local guides left out so we could orient ourselves quickly. We will recommend.

Staying at Kirsten and John’s place is a very special treat. The space is beautiful in every way - loved the attention to detail throughout the house. I specially enjoyed making breakfast and dinner in the cozy and stylish kitchen, and then enjoying the meal in the beautiful dining/living room. The bedroom is beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. The beautiful white linens and decor provide a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. I can’t say enough about the home - it is a vacation in itself to stay at Kirsten’s place. Great location too with restaurants, grocery store, etc. nearby. Would highly recommend!

The place was not in a busy area, but was still close to the main road which was nice. My friend and I really appreciated how comfortable the beds were and how clean it was! I would definitely consider staying there again if I ever come back to Mobile.

This is my second time staying in this unit. Enjoyable experience just like before. Plenty of space. Unit has everything you would need for a long term or short term stay.

This will be your home away from home. Very comfortable and spacious. Very clean. The host right back very quickly.

It was a really cozy and clean house. Space was much better than my expectations. Aziz was very kind and responded quickly. The house is equipped with all the useful stuff. I spent only one night but will stay again if I visit that area again.

Jason’s place was great and he was nice enough to host our pups and cat too!

Jason’s guesthouse is perfect for a weekend getaway to Mobile. The location is prime to everything you need and only a short drive down Dauphin Street to downtown. Jason was extremely accommodating to us and our dogs. I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone!

Jason’s private little house is adorable. You even your own patio and parking space. The neighborhood is really nice and well located. Jason was very friendly. He has thought of everything you could need during your stay. I loved this stylish casita.

We chose Cortney’s house on our first visit to Mobile for a weekend of Mardi Gras. This house is great. Craftsman style design with beautiful wood floors, comfortable beds, and all the amenities you could want. The location is convenient to downtown, and we got back and forth easily. Cortney is a great host, very responsive to our questions, and provided excellent tips for our stay.

Great stay!! Comfy bed, easy check-in, clean, great host communication. We stayed for a Mardi Gras ball and were just 8 minutes from downtown with the comfort of a quiet neighborhood. Loved the snacks & waters left for us, perfect after a long night.

Cortney’s place is a quaint historic cottage in midtown Mobile. I wish we could have stayed longer. The house is nicely renovated and extremely stylish. Cortney has a huge back yard that our dogs loved to run and play in! We couldn’t have had a better experience!

Would recommend staying here since it was much bigger than expected. The area is safe, price is cheap, quality is high and location is close to downtown. My friend and I stayed here and we couldn’t believe how homelike it was. Right away we were treated with snacks in the kitchen and a tv with a guest Netflix account. Thanks for the stay, me and my friend had a great time together in Mobile because of this place.

This is my second time to stay with Manuela, and it was just as great as my first. Yes, I came for Mardi Gras, but her cozy back porch was also a motive for my visit. Her place is warm, inviting, and super clean. The bed and especially the soft sheets on the bed are super comfy! It's quiet and a perfect, affordable stay if you're visiting Mobile. I highly recommend!

Joshua's place was conveniently located near downtown and plenty of grocery stores and restaurants. He responded quickly to all questions. We appreciated having an affordable place to stay for Mardi Gras weekend.

My mom & I really enjoyed our little get away to se my daughter @ USA. We had plans that night to eat @ MOD pizza & we were like 2 mins away!! I was 9 mins from my daughters apartment & it was super convenient! It’s a great place if you have to bring your pet with the private fenced in area for them to roam in the back. Very safe area & our host was really awesome & we had lots of privacy. :)

We live in Mobile.... just having renovations on our house that put us out for a couple of nights - so we know Mobile. The location is very convenient to many different areas of the city. Joshua offers many little extras that we didn't expect, like shampoo/body wash/hand soap/nice towels/paper towels/keurig with coffee pods and creamer... made it very easy for us to settle in.

We had a very nice stay at Suzonne's and highly recommend it. It was a quiet place & a beautiful property!

Suzonne has a hidden gem! Enough off the beaten path so you can disconnect from the world, but close enough to the big city amenities so you won’t miss a thing! We were very pleased with the accommodations and Suzonne’s hospitality! Be advised, you have to climb some stairs to get to the guest house, but it is worth the effort!

This place is amazing. It far exceeded our expectations. This was only our second experience at an Airbnb, but it has definitely been the best so far. It was incredibly private, nice and clean, a comfy bed, great shower pressure, and food and drinks. What more could you ask for? This would be our recommendation for any Airbnb in Mobile.

Great quiet place to stay.

My husband surprised me with a trip to Mobile and we stayed here and it was just a awesome! I couldn't believe how nice the bed was lol! I slept so hard!!!!!! I will miss that bed... I'm hoping we go back again some time. The horses and peacock and all the animals were so great! Loved the view.

The extra special touches like crochet flowers placed around, juice or other snacks there waiting for you. We drove in a terrible storm to get to town and knowing that Suzonne’s guesthouse was there waiting for us then snuggling down to sleep in that soft bed at night was the best! This is always our first choice of places to stay in Mobile!

Suzonne is truly a super host. She made our stay very pleasant. The studio is spacious, well equipped and comfortable. It is a quiet and private place with beautiful views of woods and fields. It feels very rural but is not far from local shopping and restaurants, and about a 25-minute drive to downtown Mobile.

This space is simple to check in to, quiet, and very clean. We loved staying in the midtown area for Mardi Gras! 10/10 would recommend, and would definitely stay here again.

This was a well appointed room with a nice bathroom and access to the kitchen. The room was private and quiet. It was very clean and comfortable and I would recommend this to anyone. It was especially great to have a cute dog to pet.

Andrew & Megan have to be the coolest hosts in the state of Alabama. The room is very nice with so many fun details, and we got tons of useful local tips as well. Highly recommended!

This was an AMAZING place to stay. We were able to get the two rooms and the stay was comfortable. TV in master was great and the boys were able to use the living room and watch everything on the ROKU. Wished there was one in Master, but there were plenty of channels to choose from. Location is perfect for great restaurants and food and they even allowed us to leave our car there while we cruised ($11 for Uber to cruise terminal). Thank you for a great experience (and an awesome puppy to play with). If in Mobile, we would definitely stay again.

This is a gem. They go out of their way to make you comfortable. It is an historic home in a historic town. Location is in the heart of things and easily accessible for transportation. Their home was very charming and renovations classic. And Lily, the golden doodle was another highlight. Precious and charming too. We slept very comfortably in the large bedroom and enjoyed the home's link to the past. We will stay again when traveling to the area. Great hosts, great home.

Andrew and Meagan’s place is a Great place to stay if you in the Mobile area close and convenient to downtown and a verity of food venues! The room is immaculately clean and decorated! I will be staying again in the near future if it is available. I would highly recommend staying here you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely loved Nicole's place! We came down to celebrate Mardi Gras and it was the perfect location! The complex was gated and felt perfectly secure! The bed and pillows were heavenly, the shower had great pressure and the towels were lovely! We have family in the area and we will definitely by staying here on our next trip!

Nicole's condo was a great place to spend the weekend. It was cozy and cute. There was some miscommunication with a guest coming the day after us, but Nicole communicated with us and resolved the situation with no problems. The bed was comfy. The kitchen looked pretty well-equipped, but we didn't cook anything.

This is an excellent place to stay for anybody exploring Old Town and museums. It is easy to reach by auto, especially from I-10. I parked my car and never moved it until I left. Excellent experience.

Grayson’s place was great. It was adorable and romantic and I would totally stay there again. There is no driveway as noted in the posting and someone did park right in front of the house and leave their car all night which was a little annoying, but it was Mardi Gras and walkable to downtown so glad they didn’t drink and drive. The house had plenty of extras - I forgot my toothbrush and was thankful there were plenty. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was amazing! Will definitely stay again.

Ken’s place is absolutely my favorite airB&B stay thus far. His home is so comfortable, and stylishly decorated. I felt like I was living inside the pages of a magazine for a few days. The yard was nice for the kids to play, the views and quiet from the front porch were good for my soul. His house is fun to just wander around in and appreciate all the neat art and antiques he has collected. That being said, it doesn’t feel stuffy at all or like you need to worry about the kids breaking something. Everything is sturdy or out of reach from two year old fingers. 😉 We’d totally stay again.

This was beyond my expectations. By the reviews I knew it was a wonderful place, but still WOW! You have to experience yourself. Everything was so easy, stress free and enjoyable. It was my son’s graduation from NP school at South Alabama and he was impressed! He and my mom both said they wanted to return when it got warmer so we could enjoy the porch when not so cold and rainy. Hey, I grabbed a blanket, my coffee and grand daughter and we snugged. My grand babies had a ball too! Such a memorable three days!

Unique, peaceful, and a little off the beaten path but well worth it. The cottage was a perfect fit for our family of 8 with room to spare. Everything you need with complete kitchen, bath and bedding needs. All you need is your clothes, basics and food. What made our stay so special to us was Ken’s quaint decor and beautiful art work. The cottage is an experience in itself. The view over the bay was just the cherry on top.

Yolisha's place was perfect in every way! Not only was it sparkling clean and cozy but it was located a historic section of the city with only a short jaunt to all the local attractions. The front porch was perfect for sipping coffee and enjoying the morning sunshine and Yolisha's communication was spot-on at every turn! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mobile! I'm hoping to return on my next visit!

This house was amazing. We were a traveling touring band and there was enough room for everyone to spread out and get some much needed sleep. All the amenities were great! Easy check in and out. Loved having a 1.5 bathroom too. Street parking was abundant and free. Nice to have laundry facility and the treadmill was an extra surprise. Everything was wonderful and I would easily stay here again.

Coming in from New Orleans to work in Mobile, I stayed at Yolisha's home. Event though I was there for work, stepping into her home felt like I was on vacation. My mom stayed with me as well, and she said she felt like she was at home (probably because she keeps her home super clean, and I felt like I was on vacation because my home is always a mess lol!). It was very kind for Yolisha to keep me updated on weather and such. I would definitely consider staying at Yolisha's home again.... hopefully next time I will reaalllyyyy be on vacation! Thank yoU!

We had a great time staying in Yolisha’s place while in Mobile. The home was bigger than expected. The bedrooms were large and the beds very comfortable. The home is very convenient to night life and things to do for the kids. 10/10 would stay again. Yolisha was very responsive and thorough. Thanks for having us!

A welcoming and homey little cottage— we so enjoyed our time here! It was quiet, very clean, comfortable, and our hosts were very helpful and communicative. It was easy to find and close to Mobile but still felt secluded and “out of the way.” Would be perfect for a couple looking for a quiet romantic weekend, but also comfortably fit our family of four. Would absolutely recommend and we would stay again!

If you're looking for a weekend getaway from your busy life - Drifting Inn is it. Nestled back in the woods of a quite neighborhood, this cute cottage has all of the comforts of home. Stan and Tina are amazong hosts and make sure you have everything you need. I hope we're able to stay here again.

Beautiful little get away about 15 minutes from downtown Mobile.

The cabin was a perfect little retreat, cozy, comfortable, and clean. Stan and Tina were friendly and responsive as hosts. Max the dog was a pleasure as well.

STAY WITH STAN AND TINA! That is my advice to you! Stan and Tina were so welcoming, asking for our arrival times so they could come and greet us in person! Additionally, they even checked in to make sure our group arrived safely (we had someone come in super late). When we had questions about the checkout process (towels and dishes) they replied within minutes. Superb hospitality aside, the guest suite was artfully decorated and, more importantly in my opinion, thoughtfully laid out! The three of us felt very comfortable (and not squished!) in their cozy home. To conclude, Stan and Tina provided my friends and I with a lovely space to relax and unwind, even if only for a night. They are truly compassionate people who tried to account for any needs a guest might have. :)

Their hospitality went above and beyond. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch and talking with the family. Would stay there again.

Amanda's guesthouse was so clean and nice for the weekend vacation I was on!

I booked this trip for my young adult daughter. Amanda’s communication was wonderful! She offered to help my daughter with needs and reassured my motherly needs. It felt like a friend watching over things for me. My daughter said the space was cozy and clean!

This place is perfectly located close to town, yet had an out of town feel. Beautiful place that is relaxing and quiet. Will stay here again.

When you check-in expect everything you have wanted in a place. The bed was comfy, the living space was great and private and everything was perfect. If I ever need to come back to the area, I will always choose Amanda's place no matter the distance. IT IS WORTH IT!

Really enjoyed our stay! It super convenient to downtown. The only thing I would have liked is hand towels in the bathroom and instructions for the FireStick. I’ve never used one and either it wasn’t working or I just couldn’t figure it out. It wasn’t an issue for us because we were busy, but it would’ve been nice to have it for down time. Other than those minor things, everything met my expectations! Perfectly suited for 4 people.

Adrienne’s place was perfect for a weekend in Mobile! The location is very central to everything. There was lots of historic charm and plenty of privacy, if that’s what you’re looking for. We also had some visits from the sweet neighborhood cat, Tabasco, which we also enjoyed. I would highly recommend Adrienne’s place to anyone looking needing a place to stay in Mobile!

10/10 the most wonderful Airbnb we’ve stayed at this far. Incredibly stylish and relaxing place. From the bath towels to the mattress to the dishes, everything was high quality!! The historic downtown district was unbelievable - beautiful trees, delicious food, and exciting tours. Kirsten & John are just wonderful!

This is the second time I have stayed at one of Kirsten and John’s properties. I had high expectations based on my first stay and this property was just as lovely as the first. There are very thoughtful touches and the house is very clean. I love that the house is centrally located and just a few minutes away from some great dining options in the city. This property is a quad with three other properties in the same house. I know at least two of the other spaces were rented but you would never know since it was so quiet. I’d recommend any of Kirsten’s properties but this one is fun if you’re traveling by yourself or a significant other.

Place was spotless! Looked newly updated. We enjoyed our 1 night stay there! Hint, to get more TV channels just move the antenna around. ;) We have no complaints!

Josh's place was a great place to stay for a couple of days. It was close to everything and getting around was easy. The house is on a quiet street and finding it was easy. There is plenty of parking space, and the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom was great. Would recommend staying here!

Josh was a great host

Josh's place is exactly as advertised. The location is suburban, a short walk from the Bel Air Shoppes, which is a public transit hub (bus from airport arrives within walking distance of Josh's house), and about a 25 min. walk to the Greyhound station. The location was perfect for me, but it is a considerable walk into the downtown area, and there is no public transit service on Sundays. Josh provided bath products, Netflix and access to washer and dryer, which were very welcome touches. He was also very prompt and succinct in his communication.
