  • A stay in one of Amber’s bell tents is an opportunity to spend some wonderful outdoor time, in touch with nature, whilst still enjoying life’s comforts. The barn in the glamping field has an array of games, such as table tennis, boules and badminton, as well as fishing nets for pond dipping, a bike to race around the grounds and some pen and paper activities. My kids were happy roaming and playing for hours on end without the need for organised activities. The tent itself is spacious and extremely well equipped. We wanted for nothing. And there are plenty of supplies to buy in the barn (via an honesty box system) to keep the BBQ sizzling and the log fires burning. Vases of fresh wild flowers and marshmallows to toast on the fire, were lovely thoughtful touches. The setting and location are excellent, with plenty of places to explore in the immediate surrounds and easy access by car to beautiful beaches and kids play parks. I spent the most amazing week here with my three children, bonding, laughing and snuggling. Absolutely beautiful times. Thank you 😊

  • I found both the host and the location idealistic both in the nostalgia and the cleanliness. The location next to the manor are an added benefit for use of walks, peace and space. I went with children who found plenty to do. I was concerned initially as i thought this place might only suit young children of ages 9 and under as we generally camp in go active locations. However, my children being teenage years loved it. There is lots of local activities to do including fabulous beaches. steam trains, zoos, and water sports. The site itself is not over crowded and lots of space - well balanced. We made some good memories here.

  • We had a very relaxing time in one of Amber's bell tents this July. The beds and linens make for the best night's sleep camping I may have ever had. We slept like babies! And she even put out beds for our two babies, speaking of which - a wonderful host. We also appreciated all the very useful local tips. Thanks, Amber!

  • Fantastic setting. Everything you need to live comfortably is in the tent. The inside stove is a wonderful addition. Amber was very easy to get through to and been extremely informative in the build up to our stay and during. Would highly recommend it for a group of friends looking for a comfortable green space break. Go see the seals at Blakeney point if you get the chance

  • Super cute little place to stay for a couple of nights! Lovingly decorated and really cosy - obviously a lot of thought has gone into transforming the shed and it really shows. Regular check in messages from Alison and its was super easy to find and check in, only comment is that local transport is limited so would recommend having a car! Thanks a lot, loved staying here.

Little Gem is barely 2 mins from Sheringham beach, bijou, self contained, bright and modern. Additionally, there is a sofa on the first floor for watching TV Wifi now up and running! Bedding is feather and Egyptian cotton, deep firm orthopaedic mattress with feather topper There is unlimited parking available on nearby roads but no private parking
Little Gem is the smallest freehold property in Sheringham. Best for short stays and slim guests with little luggage. Sheringham is one of the few places in Britain where you can see both the sunrise and sunset over the sea The bathroom is off the kitchen on the ground floor and the bedroom is on the first floor with ceiling open to the rafters so restricted head height in some places. The electric shower is not a power shower, please don't be disappointed. The accommodation is fresh with a seaside theme. We leave UHT milk, biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar to welcome you. Soap, shampoo, Egyptian cotton bed linen, bath towels (please note no hand towels), hairdryer and iron are provided. There is a key safe which offers ease of access upon arrival. The property is only a few minutes from Sheringham beach. On road unlimited parking can be found on Cremer St and Cliff Rd, both very close by. There is also timed parking on the High St and a pay and display car park at the bottom of beach Rd. The Salvation Army car park is practically opposite Little Gem and if spaces are available, it would be possible to unload upon arrival. Parking may be limited during the peak holiday season and not always easy to find There is Wifi and a TV I do not allow pets
Sheringham is a vibrant, friendly seaside town. Beautiful golden sands and traditional beach huts, ice cream cones and bunting set the scene. Sheringham offers a wealth of things to do, with The Mo museum, Steam Railway with steam trains running frequently to Holt and Weybourne, Splash Swimming Pool and Golf Course. The thriving high street offers a wealth of independent stores, coffee shops and places to eat. Local attractions include, The Muckleburgh Collection, National Trust properties at Felbrigg and Blickling. From Morston and Blakeney take a trip to see the seals or simply enjoy being beside the sea.
  • Little Gem is a cosy, warm and well equipped modern space close to the sea and in a great location for exploring North Norfolk.

    Marion2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absoloutely gorgeous. A very well located dwelling situated in the heart of the town and minutes from the sea. Beautifully decorated inside and lots of extra little touches for when you arrive. Everything was easy to find during our stay and a well equipped little home.

    Louise2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay! What an incredible space Little Gem is. Such a sweet, cosy yet modern place to stay. Location is great. Lots of places to eat/drink. Little Gem has everything you need, you could just turn up with a change of clothes! Kitchen & bathroom kitted out with everything you need. Extremely clean. Alison was in communication with us lots and provided a wealth of information. You won’t be disappointed if you stay.

    Louise2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay. Very clean with lots of tips on where to go and where to eat. Great location just off of the High Street and is situated two minutes from the beach in one direction and the station in the other. Not much in Sheringham is open late in the off season (November - March) but there was plenty of places open in nearby villages if you have a car, or in Cromer, which was only a very short and cheap train ride away.

    Robin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Little Gem is well named, it is very small! But that's part of its charm and Alison has somehow managed to cram in everything you're likely to need. It's a great place to stay for a visit to the north Norfolk coast, being in the heart of Sheringham means it's very close to some good local pubs, cafes, and restaurants and a short journey away from the other towns and villages along the coast.

    Steven2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Little Gem is just that, a compact but beautifully formed haven in a nice little seaside town. The ‘house’ is very clean, warm and well equipped. The linen is lovely and the bed comfortable.

    Wootton2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little place (little is the word). Very clean, everything you need and right in the town centre so close to everything.

  • I booked Sarah's place as a weekend mini break for my parents and their cocker spaniel. They had a wonderful time, found it very relaxing and peaceful, and haven't stopped talking about it since! Everything was easy to organise, and Sarah went above and beyond to make their trip memorable.

  • This two nights break was booked as a surprise Christmas present for my parents. Sarah was amazing from the day I booked and all the way through the stay, even sending a gift certificate so I had something to give my parents on Christmas Day. My parents had an amazing time and couldn't comment anymore highly about the decor, generous welcome goodies and Sarah's hospitality. They are keen to return and I will be booking a stay for myself!

    Rebecca2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Expect everything and more! Couldn’t fault it for anything. Beautiful interior, everything you need is there and location is great :) we will be coming back!

  • Sarah is an amazing host, with such a great attention to detail. We had a lovely trip away with our fur babies. We saw the seals and their pups, explored the beautiful Norfolk countryside, stumbled across Lord Nelsons birthplace and enjoyed a dog friendly Christmas Market in Creake Abbey. A great little holiday if you love your dogs and want to spend some quality time with them, lots of great walks and a lovely cosy cottage to relax in afterwards. Love from Amie, Dan, Tilly (Westie) and Miley (Cocker Spaniel)

Beautifully decorated south facing rooms and suntrap terrace. An idyllic rural location with off street parking, just minutes from beaches, culture, pubs and shops.
Master bedroom - south facing and spacious, kingsize bed, reading lamps and mini library, luggage bench, wall hooks and underbed storage. Bedroom 2 - comfortable built-in adult bunk beds with reading lights. An additional cubby hole sleeps the 5th person (always popular with children!). A corridor links the bathroom and each bedroom to the sitting room/kitchen. The sitting room with kitchenette has a hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine with some tea and coffee provided, and table & chairs. Cooking facilities are basic but adequate for simple quick meals. There is comfortable seating with board games, freeview TV / DVD player, DVDs & books for you to enjoy during your stay. French doors lead out onto a sheltered sunny terrace with your own BBQ looking out over a pretty kitchen garden. Please note The Shed's terrace adjoins our family terrace which on the whole will not be in use while you are staying although we and our dogs do pass through regularly - see photos.
Morston is a pretty village on the north Norfolk coast with heaps to do. Daily seal trips leave from Morston Quay for Blakeney Point, a sailing/power boating school, the Anchor Inn village pub is fantastic(!), as is the michelin starred Morston Hall restaurant - booking is advisable for both in high season. The AONB and Norfolk coastal path is just minutes away for fabulous walks, the sea, sailing, birdwatching, fresh sea air and the beautiful salt marshes. Surrounding Area - Wiveton Cafe and PYO fruit farm (famous for the Normal for Norfolk TV documentary) and Blakeney village for mud-sliding and crabbing are both within easy reach by foot or bike. The sandy beaches of Wells and Holkham 5-10 mins drive. Historic houses of Holkham Hall and deer park (10 mins), Houghton Hall (wonderful outdoor sculpture in the park and walled gardens 30 mins), Binham Priory (5 mins, take a picnic, the ruins are great for hide and seek, visit to the Raw Milk shop which sells coffee, local cheese and ice cream is recommended) are all nearby. There are many other National Trust properties and other attractions to visit too. Just 10 minutes away is the Warham Iron Age fort - a must for a picnic on a sunny day. There are also plenty of historic churches to visit - Binham Priory, Cley, Salthouse, Wiveton to name but a few. A paddle in Glandford ford and visit to the tiny Shell Museum, a hidden gem (check opening times as not open every day). Walking - best walks are on the beaches of Holkham, Wells, the Wells pinewoods (great for a sheltered walk on a cold windy day), the Norfolk coastal path and Peddars Way - all within easy reach. A walk from Morston to Stiffkey (1-1.5 hour) along the coastal path followed by a pub lunch is ideal. There are golf courses, farm shops and farmers markets...the list is endless. The market towns of Holt (10 mins) and Burnham Market (20mins) and the village of Cley (5 mins) are great for shopping, cafes, fish shops, a bookshop and delis. The Spar shop in Blakeney the next village is great for essential supplies and is open until 10pm most if not every day. This really is the perfect base for enjoying and exploring the beautiful north Norfolk Coast.

  • Susannah’s place is just beautiful - the photos really don’t do it justice. Spotlessly clean (as others have said) and perfect for a little weekend get-away. The location is really what brought us here but the cottage will keep us coming back. It was lovely and warm and oh so quiet. There is a very thoughtful welcome pack put together by susannah with recommendations for pubs, coffee shops, walks and more. We tried several and she is spot on; they were fab. A short walk across the farm and you reach a lovely little pub where you will receive a warm welcome and a delicious meal - we ate here twice. We will be back!

    Hannah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Susannah’s cottage is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and the perfect location to explore the North Norfolk coast! Would recommend

    Abi2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay to explore North Norfolk. Made all the better by the local pub ‘The Anchor Inn’ serving great food . We will be back to do more coastal walks.

🌈 Recently featured in an article in Norfolk Magazine as one of Norfolk's top 8 Airbnb's with the following review; “If you’re fond of sand dunes and salty air you’ll love this old two-bedroomed fisherman’s cottage found just a short walk away from the shingle beach in Cley near Blakeney. The interior is whimsically decorated with lots of fun, local art on the walls. Guests talk of beautiful views across the marshland and the local deli as added perks". Also with high speed fibre optic WiFi!! ❤️
THE COTTAGE~ ⭐️Built in 1850, Mallard cottage is a two bedroom, two bathroom cottage with covered off-street parking in the heart of the village of Cley-next-the-Sea. Cley lies within the AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast.🌈 🌷The master bedroom has a king sized bed, an ensuite shower room and loo and a really good view over the reed beds of Cley. The twin bedroom is a good size and a lovely room which looks over a very pretty part of the village (photographed, as is the view from the master bedroom).😍 🧚‍♂️The family bathroom is very nice and light and is also a good size, benefitting from a double ended claw foot bath. 🍎Downstairs is a fully kitted out open plan kitchen, dining and living area. There are characterful pictures and paintings all over the walls and some books and games to choose from. 🍭The house has been refurbished to a good standard and has high speed Fibre Optic WiFi and a full range of Sky channels including Sky Sports. It also benefits from double glazing and a very good, new boiler and heating system so you should be warm and cosy all year round. The cottage is the winner of a 4 star Best of Britain self-catering award. PARKING~ 🚘There is off street parking at the property which has it's own covered parking space clearly marked 'Mallard' (photographed for scale with the listing of the cottage). The turning into the arch way is very steep and the space is tight for larger vehicles so whilst Range Rover's have been known to park there (normal sized cars are fine) drivers of large vehicles who aren't comfortable 'manoeuvring' into the off street space can find plenty of parking near by. Old Post Office Lane gives pedestrian access to the Fairstead where there is free off street parking with no restrictions. There is also the Village Hall where there is a free and large off street car park with no restrictions.
Cley-next-the-Sea is one of the prettiest villages on the North Norfolk coast. It is on the River Glaven 4 mi (6 km) north-west of Holt (3 miles) and east of Blakeney (2 miles). It lies within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast between the villages of Wiveton and Salthouse. A few suggestions of things to do in and around Cley... The Wiveton Café is a must and is now open in winter as well having previously been solely open in spring and summer. It’s about a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the cottage. Do check out their website. Artemis Cafe in Cley is always a good place from which to start a walk. turn right and right out of the cottage, it's about a 20 second walk away. They serve delicious coffee, cake, sausage rolls and salmon bagels directly behind Mallard Cottage and the famous coastal walk along the wall starts from their garden. The George in Cley does really good food, has really friendly staff and is about a two minute walk from the cottage. Picnic Fayre in Cley, less than a minute's walk from Mallard, is a fantastic deli with masses of locally sourced treats and depending on the season they serve really good homemade ice cream from a little hatch in the wall. Blakeney is about an 8 minute drive away or a beautiful hour and a bit long walk along the river wall. I never feel as if I've really had my 'Cley time' until I've done that walk. You don't need to go all the way if you're not big walkers but the look of the landscape and sky change almost hourly and and we never get bored of it. Cley beach is accessible by car (2 mins) or on foot (8-10 mins) if you turn left out of the cottage and through the village, past the windmill and you'll see signs for where to follow the path to Cley beach (also photographed with the images of the cottage). The Blakeney Hotel is probably the most 'get dressed up' place locally, although I have to admit we've never been as we never bring anything approaching the right wardrobe with us... It does look lovely and it has a good reputation and apparently stunning views. The White Horse also has a good reputation and is popular, with good food. I actually prefer the Anchor at Morston next to Blakeney. Blakeney is lovely and definitely worth a visit but it can be seriously packed with day-trippers in high season so at the risk of sounding like a snob, it's better to be a bit outside it and Cley is a much nicer place to stay... Morston and Blakeney also offer Seal trips which are really fun to do depending on the season so it's worth looking on local websites. 'Beans' seal trips is one of the companies. The Cley Smokehouse directly opposite the cottage serves amazing sea food. People travel from miles around to stock up on their crab and their fish soup so we are very lucky (it's pictured in the view from the twin room in the pics of the cottage). There are galleries and a lovely pottery and book shop in Cley, plenty of shops and galleries in Blakeney and some of the best birdwatching in Britain at Cley Spy and in Salthouse which is the next village in the other direction from Wiveton and Blakeney (turn left for Salthouse, in the same direction as you walk for the beach). There's also a great pub in Salthouse called the Dunn Cow with fantastic views across the marshes from the large garden and good food. For Bird Watchers the cutting-edge, sustainable visitor centre at Norfolk Wildlife Trust's Cley Marshes Nature Reserve is a must. It has it's own café and some of the best bird watching in the country. The Coast hopper bus has bus stops in both directions from outside Picnic Fayre (about a one minute walk from the Cottage). It runs a good and regular service although personally I prefer to walk as much as possible and everything I have mentioned is walking distance, obviously depending on what you consider walking distance to be/if you have toddlers etc. The marshes around Cley are internationally important for their populations of rare breeding and visiting birds. Cley Marshes bird reserve has been in the care of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust since 1926, making it the oldest county Wildlife Trust reserve in Britain. Among resident breeding birds are Avocet, Bearded Tit, Bittern, Marsh Harrier and Spoonbill. Winter visitors include Brent Geese, Wigeon, Pintail and many species of wading birds. Cley, like neighbouring Salthouse is ideally situated at the apex of the North Norfolk coast as a staging ground for passage migrants, vagrants and rareties of all kinds. An eco-friendly visitor centre opened in 2007 containing a café, shop, viewing areas (including viewing from a camera on the reserve), exhibition area, interpretation and toilets. The view from the visitor centre across the Marsh to the sea is breathtaking. Cley Marshes is the home of the Bird Information Service, publishers of Birding World. The shingle bank holds large numbers of Yellow Horned Poppy. The Grade I listed medieval church of St Margaret's, Cley is the largest church in the Blakeney area dating from (phone number hidden) Cley was once one of the busiest ports in England, where grain, malt, fish, spices, coal, cloth, barley and oats were exported or imported. The many Flemish gables in the town are a reminder of trade with the Low Countries. Some of the buildings that once lined the quay remain, notably the 18th-century Cley Windmill which was used as a backdrop of the 1949 film Conspirator with Elizabeth Taylor. Cley Mill has often been depicted by local artists and was the subject of a painting by the 20th century English landscape artist, Rowland Hilder. In the late 19th century Cley became a holiday resort. The poet Rupert Brooke was staying in Cley when news came that Britain had entered what was to become the First World War. Brooke had dreamt about the war and woke to find it a reality. He did not speak to his hosts all day until his host said, "But Rupert, you won't have to fight?" to which Brooke replied, "We shall all have to fight". We hope you will go ahead and book! I’m sure you’ll love Cley as we do! Melissa (✿◠‿◠)
  • We loved staying in Mallard Cottage! The cottage is so pretty and the living room area is really comfortable and cosy! We really appreciated the prosecco, milk and fresh flowers on our arrival - such a lovely touch! We will definitely book another holiday here! Great location for the beautiful North Norfolk Coast!

  • Really enjoyed our stay at Mallard Cottage in January. It has lovely interior decor and was warm and cosy. Really appreciated that basic things were provided and that there was milk in the fridge on arrival. The cottage is well located - we enjoyed going for bracing coastal walks.

  • Its the second time I have stayed here and I just find it very comfortable and I love the location. There is a private parking space for the house which is very handy and it's so quiet and has everything you need, it's also stylish and homely. I would certainly stay there again. Thank you.

  • Great little find. Perfect in January as it was quiet in the village- but the coffee shops were closed for the month. That was fine for us. Dangerous deli along the road (as in REALLY nice nibbles, etc... watch out for your budget!). There is a well stocked Spar in Blankey, 2min drive. Cley marshes visitor centre was wonderful- lovely warm, interesting cafe informative centre.

  • Spend Christmas here, what a wonderful cottage in cley. Had all we needed for our two night stay if though downstairs is cosy still felt like we had enough space for 4 adults and baby. Such a quiet village this time of year felt like we were the only people there. We walked up to cley beach which was nice over the marshlands. Highly recommend.

  • Beautiful annexe, easy to find, everything was made very easy and a great breakfast :-) Thanks very much. North Norfolk is a beautiful place to stay, a credit to you both.

  • Comfortable stay in a really quiet spot. Stylish small and self contained space. Chris was a friendly yet unobtrusive host. The space has a double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. There is a coffee machine but no tea making facilities though when we asked Chris for a cuppa after a long day walking he was kindly happy to oblige. Breakfast was yummy, sourdough toast, croissant and homemade Bircher mueslis along with orange juice and tea. It’s super quiet at night meaning you’ll get a quiet night’s sleep. Thanks for a nice stay!

  • Stone Cottage is a delightful place, very quiet and with a pretty garden. The location is excellent, very convenient to reach Holt and the lovely North Norfolk coast with its wonderful beaches and birdlife, as well as visitor attractions such as Holkham Hall, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom excellent with a good shower. Christopher put two champagne glasses in the room when he knew it was my wife's birthday. Another nice touch is the small speaker which can link with mobile phones for music, etc. The breakfast was delicious. Christopher was there when we arrived to check in. He made us feel welcome and gave us some useful local information. Recommended.

Our beautiful grade 2 listed refurbished Georgian cottage is in the centre of Holt close to all the excellent shops, pubs and Byfords. The north Norfolk coast is just a couple of miles up the road with amazing views of Cley, Blakeney and Wiveton. The cottage is great for families and children and has a fantastic courtyard rear garden with outside seating and a bbq.
  • Lovely stay and great location. House was lovely just took a bit of time to heat up!

  • What a gorgeous cottage and beautiful surroundings....local amenities and ease of communication with both James and Jenny was brilliant. A wonderful place to explore such beautiful places, towns, beaches and tasty places to eat and drink...and then so cozy to come back and put the wood burning fire on. We are a family of four and our holiday was loved by us all....and we are already planning when we can next return. We would highly recommend this place.

  • Lovely stay in Holt, the house is lovely and the owners were brilliant at communicating. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you.

    Abbie2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here as a family of 4 - it's such a lovely little cottage in a brilliant location. Has everything you need with the bonus of being able to BBQ in the back yard. Parking restrictions are a bit of a pain but not too restrictive. We tended to park outside overnight, move down the road at 9am then bring it back when we headed out later in the morning with arms full of beach/kids stuff! The surrounding area is so nice and lots to do in easy driving distances. The house itself is beautifully decorated and was plenty big enough for us. The only negative comment I can think of is the double bed needs a new mattress! Can thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Lovely little cottage for two in Blakeney near quay. Perfectly situated in centre of traditional village and near to great restaurants. The cottage has kitchen, sitting room, double bedroom with ensuite. Also private outside area
Good position near to Blakeney Point seal sanctuary. Wonderful walks. Great pubs and restaurants
Blakeney is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt coastal villages in England. The jewel of the Norfolk coastline it is full of traditional cottages and right on the coast, the traditional quay and mini beach are at the end of the road. The best beach in Norfolk, Holkham, is a drive of approx ten minutes along the coast. Lovely traditional seaside village with a traditional quay with boats coming and going, lovely walks along the salt marshes and coast, mini beach, great paddling, mini canoe hire for children. Crab fishing off the quay. The best beach is Holkham beach, very sandy and lots of space, sand dunes etc. This is to the left along the coastal road. Wells has a good beach as well and the village is nice for looking around. Going right along the Coast road are shingle beaches. Sheringham and Cromer. There is a pier at Cromer. Best shops are in Holt. Lovely old market town. There is a small supermarket in Blakeney within walking distance. Go down to the quay and turn left. Also a small variety of interesting shops. Places to eat within easy walking distance are two pubs child friendly, the Kings Arms and The White Horse. The Moorings for slightly more expensive meal, but they also do lunch and coffee. Two hotels that do food The Blakeney Hotel and The Manor, a lovely little cafe at the Methodist Church in the High St. for lunch and coffee, good value and children’s toys. Stately Homes to visit, Holkham Hall, Blickling and Sandringham. For a real treat Morton Hall, run by TV chef Galton Blackiston. In the summer you will find a caravan on the quay selling lovely crab sandwiches and also an ice cream shop near the quay. The harbour rooms usually have local bands at weekends. The village hall has antique fairs and there are often sales of crafts near the quay. The seal trip is a must. You can buy tickets at the bottom of the road.

  • We had a lovely stay at Veronica’s place, the location is perfect for exploring beautiful Blakeney. We booked very last minute and Veronica was very communicative and helpful. The accommodation was ideal for a weekend break being located right behind the deli for picking up breakfast supplies and a short walk to the local pub. Would highly recommend.

  • This was a snug fisherman's cottage that had been lovingly restored and tastefully furnished. It was convenient to stroll into Blakeney and had a very interesting deli just in front, which had a good mix of luxuries, like chocolate croissants and lots of local Norfolk produce. There was a great selection of wine, beer and locally sourced cordon bleu microwave meals which were definitely not your supermarket variety. Local parking was convenient and cheap. The rooms were a bit on the tight side for a 6 foot 2 man but had been laid out well to maximise use. The kitchen had pretty much everything you would need and it was a fun experience to stay in the cottage. It reminded me of many holidays spent locally as a child. Thank you Veronica. It's always impressive to see how many practical and tasteful touches have been thought of.

  • A fantastic find in Holt, a stone's throw from all the local shops and pubs. It's set off the road and in a quiet area that looks over a nice garden, and the space itself is brilliant and spacious - with a wood burner and cosy underfloor heating making it ideal for the winter. The Annex has been done up really well with two great bathrooms and a well stocked kitchen. Great communal areas with huge sofas and loads of floor space - ideal if you have a baby or toddler like us. The main bedroom was huge and the king bed extremely comfy and very large. The second room is much smaller but ideal for a cot or for one/two children (there are two decent single beds). The whole place has been decorated really well, with nice touches everywhere - from books to local info and games. Wifi works, there's private off-street parking, and the hosts Toby and Zoe are great, providing guests with a little hamper of essentials such as tea, crisps, local apple juice, bread rolls, milk, biscuits etc etc. Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a place in Holt near the Norfolk coast.

  • A really cosy but spacious place to stay perfect for a few days away. Great location with Holt and all its eateries so close by. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 teenagers as we were. The kingside bed was super comfy as was the corner sofa downstairs. Bonus having a downstairs w/c also ! It is a lovely place to stay to explore the local beaches and town, would highly recommend! The hosts left us with a complementary hamper with local apple juice, milk and prosecco also which was most kind and appreciated!

Early check in. Late check out. My place is close to the wonderful North Norfolk Coast. It is a lovely, airy modern apartment in the beautiful, historic Georgian market town of Holt which is brimming with interesting and eclectic shops and eateries. It is within 5 miles of the sea. The apartment is perfect for solo adventurers and couples but can also accommodate a third person as there is a sofa bed in the lounge. Furry friends (pets) welcome as there is access to a garden and private deck.
A light, modern apartment which is entirely self-contained with its own front door. The large lounge leads on to a fully equipped modern kitchen. The shower room is located in the large double bedroom and any third guest would need to appreciate this. The garden is south facing and very well maintained. Perfect for pets and their owners who enjoy the sun.
A unique apartment, in a quiet setting, but within minutes of the town centre. It can be used as a perfect base from which to explore and enjoy this outstanding part of the country with its breath-taking coastline and stunning sandy beaches, as well as the opportunities to have fun closer to home by discovering the range of eclectic shops and restaurants that are only minutes away

  • A great place to stay in Holt. There is plenty of space for two with a large kitchen and big living room which opens out onto a deck area and garden. The house is full of individual and 'quirky' little design features which make it fun and unique. There is a good selection of books, DVDs and CDs if you need some entertainment on a rainy day. Or its a 10 minute walk into town for a bit of shopping, a coffee and cake or a meal. There was a fresh loaf of bread, butter, jam and milk waiting for us and plenty of tea and coffee - which means you can move in and start to relax straight away. Definitely recommended.

Bird Box is a traditional Norfolk 'brick and flint' cottage which has recently been restored to reflect modern living whilst retaining its Victorian character.
Bird Box cottage is set in a little Square tucked behind Byfords Holt's landmark restaurant/deli . You'll be in the very heart of Holt with all the local shops and restaurants a stroll away. The cottage is a one bedroom Victorian terrace which has recently been sympathetically and lovingly restored.
Holt is a unique town with scores of independent shops and mouthwatering eateries. Bakers and Larners department store is a local landmark and its incredible food hall won the coveted National Food and Farming Award for best deli in 2019. The Black Apollo coffee shop is 'small but perfectly formed' and produce their own unique blends and roasts of coffee. If you like clothes you'll love Holt with boutiques brimming with treasures for your wardrobe! Holt is also very canine friendly and recently, 'Woofers and Barkers' a shop catering especially for our four legged chums opened on the High Street for the 'top dogs' in town.
  • This property exceeded our expectations. Immaculately clean and comfortable with extra special touches around the cottage; this was a true home away from home! This is the only place to stay when visiting Holt and the surrounding area. Kindest regards, Jamie & Jordan

  • We had an amazing time at Bird Box Cottage. It is lovely and central and the hosts Mel and Alistair made our stay so special over Christmas. The amenities are top notch and we really didn't want to leave. Will be coming back to stay again!

The Dolls House is a traditional Norfolk cottage dating from around 1880. The space has been completely renovated with all the luxuries you will need for a cosy getaway. The traditional features of the cottage; exposed brickwork, double ended woodburner and winding staircase mix perfectly with the brand new fitted kitchen, electric shower and super cosy beds. Nestled in the heart of historic Holt, you are perfectly located to explore the array of shops, restaurants and cafes on offer.
Weston Square is in the heart of Holt whilst being quiet and peaceful. The cottage itself is cute and cosy with beautiful log burner and sofa to snuggle up in the evenings. The Dolls House is a traditional Norfolk cottage which we renovated in 2017. Please be aware, the age of the cottage does mean the staircase is rather steep.
Holt is a bustling town with classy boutique clothes and lifestyle shops, quirky cafes, vintage/antiques and gorgeous places to eat. The famous Byfords is at the end of the Weston Square, Wells deli just a minute away, the beautiful Folleys is perfect for afternoon tea or a slice of gorgeous homemade cake.
  • Parents loved their stay. Lovely touches, great location and loved the wood burner in the lounge xx

Scandi design, art, comfortable exclusive abode. Peaceful. Cosy bolt hole for discovering beautiful N.Norfolk. Stunning beaches, gourmet restaurants, festivals. Woodlands, National Trust properties in abundance. Wildlife/Salt marshes. Georgian Holt all within 4 mins drive, 30 min walk. This pavilion is set at the rear of a long garden of a grand desgn type house. It’s totally secluded and accessed from a private path. There is car parking in the front drive. It is an enchanting and peaceful place set among pines. I designed the building in 2012. It's classic scandi feel, a comfortable flowing space, open plan. It is ideal for one / two people, or 4 people . Your kids will love the separate funky bunk room. The double bed is in the main large living open plan space with full wall to ceiling views of woodland, a comfy sofa, a kitchenette/designer table and chairs, make this a cool and relaxing area. There is a shower room, as with all the design is modern and stylish. There is a separate room for the washing machine, open plan wardrobe and changing room. The outside space is a large wooden deck under canopy and a garden with lovely view to the adjacent meadow. Magical to sit /eat out on a summer evening. You need to check with host before booking as peak season 2 ,3 and 4 nights prevail. Ie summer.Xmas
The coast, forests, national trusts houses and parks. Enchanting English seatown villages brimming with pubs and gastro dining. Art galleries and Chic shopping. No shortage of charming afternoon tea stops . Golf, cycling, boating, fishing, wildlife marshes. All this within a ten mile range and much more on offer further afield. General feel of the area is mellow, understated and relaxed. Being close to nature.
  • Ger's modern garden pavilion was gorgeous, and well appointed. We were on a cycling trip through north Norfolk and as bolthole from which to explore Holt nearby, it was perfect. A seamless experience.

    Tom2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, beautifully designed and an amazing space to spend some time. Good location not far from Holt with some nice dog walking routes straight out from the Airbnb and also a short drive away (eg Sheringham Park).

    Daniel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you stay in Ger’s Scandinavian bungalow expect to relax. It’s in a quite location close by some very interesting places to visit. Superb living space with great art on the walls. It’s so superb you might forget you are in someone’s own house and not a hotel. Our family loved it. Our children cried when we had to leave.

    Barry2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation was very nice, nestled in a lovely garden but with the necessary privacy and a calm, relaxing setting. Something different for everyone and plenty of nice touches you wouldn’t ordinarily get

  • Lovely stay at The Pavillion. Perfect for a cosy night away with the family. Mega stylish, contemporary stay.

    Kim2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed in Ger's place for a long weekend - the location was great and it's perfect if you like walking and nature as well as small quaint villages! Would recommend to friends and family - we had a lovely time!

    Amy2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The exact house was a little hard to find as we arrived after dark but once we did it was great! Geri’s pavilion is very stylish and clean and suited our needs perfectly. The house was well stocked with towels, blankets, tea bags, etc and our dog was able to use the garden. We were able to meet Geri as we left who was warm and approachable. Many thanks!

    Naomi2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at The Pavilion. This is a great location to explore and visit the best Norfolk has to offer. The kitchen tap is not an issue, and instead maybe if people engaged their brain a little, they could work this out for themselves, it is hardly technical. The Pavilion was clean, tidy, bright, airy and cosy. The natural light was a blessing, and the view from the master bed was a welcome and cheerful change as daylight broke, given the beautiful wooded setting. I cannot understand why people would moan about anything on offer here, a great place to retreat. As I said, the place was clean, but alas, it is a worry to read reviews from disgruntled visitors taking a vacation, as I seldom worry about a tiny amount of dust here and there, certainly when you could be enjoying a lovely break in North Norfolk. Visit and enjoy. Great host, made us feel welcome. Plenty of parking on site too.

The Cottage is the perfect choice for a relaxing self catering cottage break in Holt on the North Norfolk coast. This cute Georgian gem, with its eclectic mix of Mulberry wallpapers and stylish furnishings and contemporary touches, is quite simply a delight. Positioned in Holt for many bars/shops/restaurants.
50 High Street has a very cosy homely feel, you will not be disappointed.
Holt is a beautiful North Norfolk town with lots to do for everyone.
  • A beautiful, comfortable cottage in the centre of wonderful Holt. A spotless home with lots of special touches, loved the underfloor heating on a cold morning and the Christmas trees were really appreciated. Easy access to the coast, Norwich city and perfect base for the Thursford Christmas Extravaganza.

  • This property is absolutely beautiful and full of character. The host was extremely helpful and have us loads of great local tips. It was really well priced and I would definitely recommend to anybody looking into the property that it’s well worth a visit if you need a play to stay in Norfolk. Holt itself is also delightful. All in all a perfect trip away.

A bright and newly refurbished apartment, sleeping 5/6 right in the centre of Blakeney close to quay and near lovely restaurants and shops. Blakeney is a historic coastal village with seals just off Blakeney point. A unique part of old England.
Really unusual, spacious and comfortable apartment which has small outside seating veranda
Blakeney is part of England that has retained its individuality and charm Lovely traditional seaside village with a traditional quay with boats coming and going, lovely walks along the salt marshes and coast, mini beach, great paddling, mini canoe hire for children.
  • The photos don't do this place justice. Veronica's apartment is clean, cosy, spacious & absolutely charming. There are some stunning quirky features reflecting the age of the building which we loved. Check-in was easy and everything we could have wanted was available in the apartment. Location wise, I don't think you can get much better. Just a stones throw away from the quay, downstairs there is a delicious deli (we had an amazing breakfast one day!) and all the best restaurants and pubs are on your doorstep. Shower was great - hot and good water pressure. We wholeheartedly recommend staying in Veronica's place - best bargain we've come across in a while. Thank you for hosting us!

  • This is a lovely 17th century cottage in the heart of Blakeney. Although car parking not available at the cottage there is car park very close by. Lots of lovely coastal walks and organised boat trips to see the seals. Would love to come back for a longer stay!!

    Karin2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Right on the High Street above the deli, yet not at all noisy, we had plenty of space to relax. The kitchen diner is spacious and very well equipped, plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils if you need to do your own meal. Nice comfortable sitting room, again spacious for 4/ 5 people. Two bathrooms meant there was no queuing for the shower. Wonderful open spaces in Blakeney, ideal if you enjoy quiet walks with nothing but birdsong, miles and miles of footpath to explore. A delightful village, very good places to eat and drink and lots to explore further afield.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. It is in an ideal spot for walking to all the village amenities and the gorgeous Norfolk Coast Path. In the house we found everything we needed for our stay and more, it is beautifully decorated and furnished, with all mod cons. Veronica is a great host - any queries we had were answered extremely promptly. I'd highly recommend this cottage, we will be back soon!

  • The cottage is lovely, and well equipped. It is cosy. We were 6, 3 adults and 3 children, and it was perfect for our stay. There isn't a lot of spare space, so it might have been tricky if we had been 7, for example, for fitting around the table at mealtimes. All in all we had a really lovely stay, and would definately go again. The cottage is perfectly located, and Blakeney is a really lovely village. The coast is beautiful. We had some lovely walks.

Good communication with the host and the small touches made it feel like we were being thoroughly spoiled - flowers , welcome pack of goodies. We Very well equipped and we wanted for nothing and we appreciated all the information on the local restaurants etc. We’ve stayed in several Airbnb properties and this is one of the best. • Our stay at Pebbles is the best Airbnb experience for us so far. The cottage is sparkly clean and well-equipped. Dagmar’s thoughtful arrangements including the many towels, cutleries, complimentary snacks and drinks, etc just made us feel so warm and at home. We’ll definitely book again the next time we visit Norfolk area. Thanks Dagmar for our wonderful stay.

  • We arrived from overseas at Pebbles cottage late Christmas Eve and it was so great to walk in the house with the Christmas tree lit, X-Mas crackers on the table, wine in the fridge, tea and coffee for breakfast. And anything else we needed for the first night that we couldn’t bring on the plane or go to the shops to buy ( because everything is closed). The cottage was perfect, enough room for everybody. It was so nice to be able to invite the grandparents ( who live around the corner) to come for Christmas lunch. And of course, Holt and North Norfolk are fantastic places to go on holiday. I hope we get to go back soon. Thanks for a great stay in Pebbles Cottage. Annick.

Fo’c'sle is a delightful detached timber clad retreat, located in the heart of the North Norfolk countryside just a short drive to the coast and one of North Norfolk's best restaurants, the Wiveton Bell, making it ideal for couples to both relax and explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fo’c’sle, (pronounced Folksall), is an old fashioned word for forward castle, the part of a ship with the sailors' living quarters. Set in the heart of the glaven valley, you don’t have to worry about the sea conditions to enjoy this peaceful hideaway!. Attractively furnished with many of the finishing touches coming from the local potttery/gallery “Made in Cley”, the open-plan ground floor offers a well-equipped compact kitchen, a bright kitchen/dining area with double doors opening into the private courtyard and a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove. On the first floor you are greeted with a large bedroom with picture window providing lovely views over the church and valley and a comfy king-size bed and en-suite shower room. The cottage is looked after by the owners who live next door, who can give great tips on what to do and where to go in the local area. Nestled between the coastal villages of Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea, Wiveton is an ideal location to enjoy the beauty of the glaven valley with its wildlife, birdlife and walking opportunities, whilst being located just one mile south of the coast road. There is an excellent bus service operating along the A149 coast road, the 'Coasthopper' which is great for walkers in that the bus route shadows the Norfolk coast path. This enables one way walks to be undertaken with relative ease and is a great way of visiting the coastal villages without the need to use your car. The Wiveton Downs is a registered "Dark Skies" site where it is possible to see the northern lights, or aurora borealis, and this area of the UK boasts some of the darkest skies in the country being that it is unaffected by light pollution and so making it ideal for star gazing. Additional Information Two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). Unfortunately this property is not suitable for infants or children. The bed has synthetic bedding. Logs are provided for the wood burning stove. Ground Floor: Sitting room Ample comfortable seating, wood burning stove, flat screen television with Freeview and a DVD player. Kitchen A well equipped kitchen with slimline dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and hob with cooker hood over, under counter fridge with a freezer ice box. Dining room Dining table with seating for two guests and double french doors leading into the courtyard garden. Cloakroom Wash basin and WC. First Floor: Master bedroom A lovely bright room with king-size bed and a large picture window with views over the glaven valley and neighbouring property. En-suite shower room Walk-in shower, wash basin and WC. Outside: There is a west facing courtyard with terrace and lawn area, with ample garden furniture. Please note the the courtyard is not secure for dogs. Off-road parking for one car is available to the side of the cottage.

  • Lovely warm and cozy accommodation in a very rural setting with a private courtyard to sit in and hens roaming around to provide interest. Blueskies was very clean, had everything we needed and the one query we did have was quickly resolved when we contacted the host. Host and family live at the same location so were there for a friendly chat but not intrusive. A peaceful location yet easily accessible for exploring Cromer, Norwich and Holt etc.

Easy to access the rest of north Norfolk either by car/bus or even the steam train. Amy provides lots of information on walking routes and suggestions of places to eat. A fantastic weekend away.

Oystercatcher is a charming, traditional two bedroom Norfolk fisherman’s cottage situated on the High Street just a short stroll from Blakeney Quay and all of the village amenities. Perfect for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life this property has been recently updated and now has all of the modern requirements required whilst retaining every bit of its coastal cottage charm.
Upon entering the cottage in to a long entrance hallway you will find the living room on your right with a lovely, comfy sofa, and arm chair perfect for snuggling up in front of the gorgeous wood burning stove. In the corner is a dining table that will comfortably seat four. Neutrally decorated and opened up to the kitchen, this room feels very light, airy and welcoming. From the living room, down a small step is the traditional, small but well-equipped kitchen which has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer. The kitchen is tastefully decorated and allows access back through to the entrance hall off which is the ground floor shower room and the door out to the wonderful enclosed courtyard garden which has a pretty table and chairs set, perfect for sitting and sipping a glass of wine on a warm sunny evening. Back inside and to the front of the house is the good sized double bedroom. Up the original, steep ‘Norfolk Winder’ cottage stairs from the sitting room is the large twin bedroom which looks out over the high street. This room has a good sized en-suite bathroom. There is a pull out bed that we can set up in the upstairs twin bedroom to sleep 3 guests. Extra charge applies.
Surrounding area Blakeney must be one of the most sought after coastal villages in North Norfolk. The whole coastal area, much of it owned by The National Trust, is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, attracting both sailing enthusiasts and ornithologists. The village retains a unique atmosphere with many of the old mariners’ and merchants’ houses remaining in its narrow streets with others tucked away in flint walled alleyways. The main street runs down to the Quay with its salt marsh and channels, with Blakeney Point beyond. There is a surprisingly wide selection of shops, public houses and hotels. A wider range of amenities can be found in the Georgian town of Holt, about 5 miles to the south.

We love this beautiful little cottage, and feel sure you will do too. Packed full of character with oodles of charm, it's stylishly furnished, has a fully enclosed, pretty cottage garden, comes with private parking and secure bike storage, and is just a few minutes' walk away from Holt town centre. It's dog friendly too. What's not to love?! As the name suggests, this delightful Victorian property was once home to the local cobbler and his shop and, despite being extended and updated in recent days, the cottage has lost none of its character - the display of cobbler's shoe lasts in the dining room still looks right at home. The cottage is furnished throughout in an attractive, eclectic style, combining a mix of retro and new, and always with comfort foremost in mind. An interesting collection of artworks, dotted here and there, complement each room, and complete the cottage's individual look. On the ground floor, there is a compact kitchen, with an adjoining useful utility/boot room, a colourful dining room, perfect for both family and romantic meals, and a separate, cosy sitting room, with wood burning stove, invites you to take a seat and relax. Up the stairs (steep and straight) are three beautifully decorated 'boutique' bedrooms (king-size, twin and single), all with super comfy mattresses and quality linen, along with a family bathroom. The king-size master bedroom has the 'wow' factor, is enticing, full of romance and sure to appeal if you are of a romantic persuasion. Cobbler's Cottage is a gem of a Norfolk hideaway, perfect for couples, friends or a small family. Ideal for both short and longer breaks around the year, it is a great base from which to explore the many delights of North Norfolk, both coastal and rural. Ground Floor: Sitting room With comfortable Conran seating, wood burning stove, retro “G Plan“ coffee table, Smart television with firestick, CD player with Bluetooth facility. Dining room With table and five chairs, decorative fireplace. Kitchen Well-equipped with Samsung electric oven, hob, slimline dishwasher and microwave. Side entrance porch/utility room With fridge/freezer and washing machine. From the hallway, steep stairs, with handrail, lead to: First Floor: Master bedroom With king-size bed, wardrobe and dressing table. Bedroom two With 3' twin bed, chest of drawers and peg rail. Bedroom three With 3' single bed, ladder style shelving and peg rail. Shower room With quadrant shower cubicle, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Outside: There is an enclosed garden to the front of the cottage, mainly laid to lawn with shrub borders, table and chairs, and garden benches. Secure cycle storage unit. Parking available for up to three cars on paved driveway. Additional Information One well-behaved dog welcome for a small additional charge. Gas central heating.

When we arrived, we were absolutely blown away by how beautiful the house was - amazing to think that the lovely pictures don’t even do it justice. It was spotlessly clean, with everything you could ever need and more. Quite honestly, we didn’t want to leave as we loved the house so much! The town is so serene, with really friendly locals and some great places to eat. Overall, we had a lovely stay and will look to come back in the future.
