Places to stay in Broadstairs

Places to stay in Broadstairs
We went on a mission to find the perfect get-away from London. We discovered this beautiful grade 2 listed house built in the white cliffs of Dover and fell in love with it's charm. Ramsgate has a cosmopolitan vibe, a bustling Royal harbour borders a yacht-packed marina, awash with history and overflowing with continental charisma.
The house is in an amazing location on the beach front, this sun facing holiday home is a couple of footsteps to the golden sandy beach where the water is irresistible. The house is perfect for entertaining, the kitchen/diner has large windows with views of the sea. Spill out into the private front garden, take in the panoramic views of the shore and really soak up the sea air. Enjoy breakfast as the sun comes up or watch the stunning sunsets with friends and family with a glass of prosecco or two! Every great host needs an equally great kitchen table and ours is perfect for larger groups. To make life easier there is an intergrated oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, and microwave. The large lounge is situated on the first floor and benefits from a balcony with the same uninterrupted views, perfect for a spot of seagull watching! Relax on the comfy seven seater corner sofa, which is perfect to hang out and watch the smart flat screen TV or to simply wind down. To add to the comfort there is a separate three seater sofabed which readily converts into a bed with practical storage space under the seat for the bedding. The master bedroom is the most romantic place you could be, french doors open onto a balcony with picture perfect views. After a hard day sunbathing let the sea breeze waft into the room whilst soaking in the roll top bath, with a glass of wine whilst watching the boats sail to and from France into the sunset. A tranquil retreat! Next to the lounge is a bedroom with a bespoke contemporary double bunk bed made out of driftwood that sleeps four. It evokes the feeling of sleeping in a cabin on a boat, a iron wrought ladder replaces the traditional wardrobe and life buoys decorate the walls. There are two double beds in the converted loft, its accessed by a few fixed steps. The first level has a built in double mid sleeper and then up three steps, there is another double bed, but please note the bed is in the sloped eaves. There is a smart flat screen T.V with freeview channels. The shower room with toilet and sink is on the second level next to the master bedroom and next to the stairs for the loft, the shower is built into the cliffs. There is a toilet on the first floor level next to the lounge. Please note there are stairs to every level, which is why the lounge and bedroom offer balconies with breath taking views.
The house is in prime location, built in the White cliffs of Dover and a few steps from the sandy beach that stretches all the way to the next town Broadstairs. A five minute walk brings you to the bustling harbour which borders a yacht-packed marina where you will find pavement cafes and waterfront bars, where entertainment is plentiful. Awash with history and overflowing with continental charm, it's a must-see historic port, with a truly cosmopolitan feel. Turn left out of the house at low tide and walk the coastline to traditional Broadstairs (Charles Dickens Fans will appreciate). Browse the independent shops, stroll the promenade and explore the wonderful 7 Bays, where kids can scour the rock pools and discover the caves used by smugglers. Eat at the many restaurants on top of the cliff. Spoilt for choice: Nature lovers, walkers and cyclists have many paths to follow, locally continue on from town towards Westcliff this part of the Viking Coastal Trail will lead to Pegwell Bay (approximately 7km). Pegwell Bay is part of Kent's largest National Nature Reserve and the unprotected sea cliffs and reserve are of great geological interest, habitat to marine life, winter migrating birds and wildlife. Accessed by car Samphire Country Park in Dover & Folkestone provides a thriving ground for wildlife and tremendous views of the Channel from the top of the cliffs. On the way to Deal, Fowlmead Country Park has a playground for the kids and a (3.5km) road track set amidst panoramic views to the coast – bikes for hire and perfect for a fun family ride. Mountain bikers can take the off-road trails embarking on grassy slopes & short sharp climbs. Kids (and adults) can ride the BMX track for a small fee otherwise everything save for the cafe and bike hire comes free! A full active day out ! Starting from spring, boat trips from Ramsgate pick up for trips to Goodwin Sands, ideal for a special event or party. For the more adventurous kite surfing. The many sheltered bays, flat water and constant winds are perfect conditions for kite surfers. Ride Kite Surfing School operates courses from May to October, take a one day taster or undertake a certfied course, if you are really serious 1 to 1 lessons are available. Surf schools in Viking Bay and Joss Bay, hire out equipment and give lessons in paddleboard riding, kayaking, surfing or body boarding. Or sail away from Ramsgate Marina for a day trip out sea fishing or relaxing! July, 'Thanet at War' brings the 1940's vividly to life. Each August Bank Holiday, the Summer Squall multi-arts festival serves up a feast of workshops, exhibitions, film, theatre and dance Don't forget a day trip to Margate a 15-minute drive away or short train or bus ride, to see the latest Turner Gallery Exhibition and Dreamlands once again echos with the sounds (and screams) of delight and wonder, as visitors old and young enjoy the Great British seaside amusement experience.
  • Samantha was a great host , house is lovely and in a great location, would defiantly recommend.

  • Samantha is a wonderful, thoughtful host whose fabulous house is clean, spacious and incredibly comfortable! The location is amazing and the sea views are breathtaking! Our visit was extremely relaxing and reinvigorating! A great start to 2020! I would highly recommend booking a stay here!

  • Samantha's house is an absolutely gorgeous place situated right on the beach in Ramsgate, with plenty of things to see and do nearby. We were all bowled over by the beautiful kitchen space, the ridiculously comfortable sofa, and the stunning view from the balcony. We'll definitely be back in summer!

  • This place is ultimately superb, we had 12 guests whom fitted comfortably, I was a little worried at first , however we could have had a couple of extra guest stay. The spaces are dived generously, so you can chill in the kitchen which seats up to 18 , or take in dramatic sea views from the ample living room above. We had lots of teenagers they were gaming and playing upstairs , where the adults could take advantage of the open plan dinning kitchen area on the ground floor overlooking the waves breaking on the sea walls, epic! Communication was excellent, and the wi fi , coped with all our demands. The location was spot on , a five minutes walk along a glorious stretch of sandy beach to the recently renovated Royal pavilion and the picture perfect marina and town beyond. A special place , fantastical value, we will be back, thanks Samantha for a place where we could enjoy life again.

  • This is a beautiful period house literally a stones throw from the beach. The views from each floor of the property were pretty amazing. The house is very light and airy, comfortably furnished, and the space is good for a large family.

  • I would highly recommend staying at Samatha's house! Samatha is a great host, very helpful, quick responses and lots of local information provided from herself and a lovely folder at the house. The house is beautiful, great location, a quick walk into the town and beach front so easy access to piers and walking along the beach. Very clean, tidy and spacious, perfect for a weekend away!

  • Excellent weekend spent with friends at On the Beach. Couldn't fault the location, the sea views and the most relaxing bath tub with a glass of wine. Very happy to stay here again.

  • Best stay ever! So clean and such a lovely rural retreat. Considering the price of the place it's a real shame you have to pay £20 a day for the hot tub. But apart from that we will definitely be returning!!

    Jesse2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved it! Definitely will book this place more often. Thank you 😊

  • Nikki’s place is wonderful. Immaculately clean, and very well presented. I would love to stay again. As a host Communication from Nikki was timely and pleasant and without delay. Some sweet personal touches included too, her attention to detail was brilliant! Amazing value! Thank you Nikki!

    Daniel2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great accommodation! Peaceful, cosy and spacious for the 2 of us. Nikki was great with communicating quickly and for answering questions. Would stay there again!

  • Absolutely amazing. Hot tub was perfect. Had everything you needed. Highly recommend

    Hannah2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • 💕I had such a wonderful stay!! The Coach House is the place you didn't know you needed. Nikki is amazing with her communication and really went above and beyond for my stay. It is the best of both worlds, the character of the historical building it is, but with the modern finish to it. The new kitchen was lovely to use! Definitely book use of the hot tub, I practically lived in it when I wasn't out and about exploring, it was wonderful! Location is great, just a couple of doors down from a pub and not far from beautiful places to visit like Canterbury, Whitstable and Broadstairs as examples. I would most definitely stay here again!! 💕

On a traffic-free, leafy lane adjoining the green expanse of Liverpool Lawn, this is a beautiful Georgian cottage/townhouse, with original beams, floorboards, fireplace, contemporary kitchen, and bathroom with rainfall walk-in shower. It's near Ramsgate marina and beach, and in the town's prettiest district. Great for a tranquil escape, making seaside memories. House is small so better suited to families than groups of friends. Only eco-friendly cleaning products used. NB: NO WIFI OR TV!
A characterful 1829 cottage, with something of a doll's house feel, a minute's walk from Ramsgate Marina. The front door leads onto the sitting room, with original floorboards, a two-seater sofa, and working fireplace (firewood provided). A VERY STEEP, narrow wooden staircase (note this might be difficult for some people) leads up to the 2 bedrooms, each also with original floorboards, and with leafy views. Be aware the double has a normal-sized double bed )not queen/king-sized) it'd be hard to get a larger bed in the house - we had to haul this up through the window in bits!! The house has central heating. There are no doors between the two bedrooms, which are interconnected by another very steep, narrow staircase. The second, top bedroom has two antique handpainted beds, both full size singles. There's a travel cot available. There are lots of books and toys for kids, including a dolls' house, ELC fort, mini table football and more...
This is Ramsgate's loveliest neighbourhood, full of Georgian and Victorian townhouses, with leafy lawns. At the end of the street, Liverpool Lawn is an accessible garden in a Georgian square. Waitrose is three minutes walk away. There's a great cafe, Vinylhead, around the corner on Addington St. Don't miss a meal in the Harbour Brasserie, where the setting is fantastic, with sea on all sides. Local places to visit include Botany Bay, Joss Bay, the Turner Contemporary, and Margate's retro themepark Dreamland.
  • Abigail’s place is charming and cosy, right in the heart of Ramsgate. We had a fabulous weekend - we walked along the coast to Margate, ate fish and chips, sat by the fire and played games. We will definitely be back.

    Poppy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great cottage and a great location. Happy to recommend and hope to return.

    Tracy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely time in Abigail's place. There were some initial issues with the toilet from a previous visitor but Abi was on the case and we had very friendly easy chats and confirmations. I was able to properly relax and I importantly got loads of good writing done - as per the brief.'

    Leigh2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a lovely cottage and we enjoyed our stay very much, the space is bright and so cute. Abi sent a super helpful email beforehand with all the info we could want about Ramsgate and the surrounding area. It was a lovely place to spend the weekend.

  • Lovely host and super cosy home

    Lucia2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Full of character with everything we needed, this house has a good location near the harbour.

    Claire2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute gem! So centrally located, and adorable and comfortable. A traveler's oasis, on a quiet street, walking distance (3-5 minutes) from the port and plenty of restaurants. We were tempted by the fireplace, during our chilly visit, but did not use it in the end. But it was nice to have as an option. There was plenty of space for the 2 of us and our (medium sized) dog. The place has everything you need, and nothing you don't need. The curtains and sheepskin throws add a nice soft and warm touch to the entire place.

    Nadir2019-12-31T00:00:00Z

No. 7 by the Sea is a holiday apartment, which provides a great home from home experience, with amazing views out to sea and of the iconic Margate Lido. The one bed apartment offers a spacious living room, new kitchen and bathroom, and even a sun terrace out the back. Margate Old Town and Cliftonville are both just a ten minute walk away with a whole host of restaurants and shops to explore along the way. Margate is an up and coming town, with a rough and ready charm.
The flat is a really good size and is more than comfortable for two adults. It's full of character and the perfect home from home. We do have a sofa bed in the living room, which guests are more than welcome to use. However, we do charge an extra £30 for bedding and an extra guest. We can provide a high chair, travel cot with a mattress and sheet for a cost of £10 for the visit. We use feather duvets and pillows. If you have an allergy at all, please let me know and we can swap them out for you.
We absolutely love the vast array of restaurants and shops in the area. Head up to Cliffs for breakfast or the Bus Cafe down by the beach. The flat is located in quite a built up area, with neighbours close by. From time to time things can get a bit noisy, but it's usually pretty quiet.
  • Great location, modern looking, well thought through host tips!

Roost and Peters Fish Factory are well worth a visit. Cliffs on Northdown road is great brunch spot. Aldi is a short walk away. Most of Margate seems to be shut on Monday and a Tuesday though.

Charming old gate house cottage built in 1750, set in the middle of North Foreland golf course with access to Kingsgate Beach. It has two bedrooms, one double room and the other with bunk-beds. The lounge also has a comfortable day bed.
  • Marvellous! A real treat.

    Andrew2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Charming doesn't come close to describing Lourdes Cottage. It was quirky, well appointed with everything you could need for an over night. We read the booklet provided and took the suggested wander down to the ocean. It was pretty glorious. I am uncertain why there is no door to the bedroom. This was a bit awkward, but we worked out a change schedule. We were very happy with our stay.

    Beth2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The most quaint and peaceful stay! We all loved how quirky the cottage was, it is extremely homely and there were lots of bits and bobs around for us to do! Can’t recommend the location and the host enough! Would love to return! We especially liked Wilbur the pig 🐷!

    Vicki2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a unique place in Broadstairs walking distance from the beaches - this is the one! The cottage is quiet, peaceful and truly beautiful. We loved being disconnected for a few days! As the listing advised - no TV channels just DVDs, and this was exactly what we needed! We went in the autumn and got so lucky with the weather. No winds, sunshine and dog friendly beaches all around. We had lunch at The Botany Bay Hotel, and it was delicious - definitely recommend it - just 15 minutes walk away from the cottage with fabulous views of the sea while tucking into a fabulous meal! Charlotte was really easy to reach, all house rules were very clear - altogether a superb weekend away from London. Would definitely come back again and again.

  • Julia’s place is lovely, in a great location which is easy to find - so close to all the things you could need. Steps away from the sea and a whole host of restaurants and bars on your door step. As other people have said, it does get quite noisy on a Friday/Saturday night, but we already knew this would be the case! All in all a great stay, would recommend to others.

  • Julia’s apartment is a lovely place to stay. It’s very comfortable and well-equipped - very handy to have the kitchen so you can cook meals and not eat out every night. The location is perfect right in the centre of Broadstairs and close to everything you need. Julia is a great host and replied super quick to any questions that I had. I hope I’ll be back in the area so I can stay again!

  • Lovely little bolt hole in a great location - perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. Bright, clean & modern decor. We really enjoyed our stay.

  • It's a very comfortable, well equipped appartment right in the centre of Broadstairs, very convenient for everything. Julia is a friendly and helpful host.

  • Our stay was very comfortable at Julia’s place. The house is located in the centre of the broadstairs tourist zone, next to the beach. There are plenty of good restaurants, cafe and grocery stores in the area. The house is naturally bright, clean and nicely decorated with many thoughtful touches. Julia was a truly cooperative host and was always there to solve our issues. We are in love with the house as well as the city and would love to be back again!

  • Perfectly positioned apartment for short stay.

    Dan2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • One of my favourite holiday places. Always come back to Julia’s apartment and it never disappoints. The location is amazing, just a short walk to the beach and very near all the great places to eat. Broadstairs is one of the British seaside destinations that always has so much going on, summer and winter. Beautiful beaches and lovely walks. The apartment is lovely, very comfortable, clean and easy to stay in. Will come back soon.

  • Great apartment in an awesome position very close to town but still quiet. Everything you need is within walking distance - great cafes, pubs and supermarkets. The views are outstanding from the apartment - we were lucky enough to see a sunrise over the ocean. Make sure you take a walk on the beachside paths. The white cliffs closer towards Margate were impressive. As mentioned in description parking was difficult outside the apartment - we stayed in the period between Christmas and new year and it was hard to get a park near the entrance of the apartment. But we had a fantastic stay and will leave with great memories of the area.

Amazingly on the doorstep of the sands at the historic york gate at the Broadstairs tiny final road to the sea
  • You will not find a better location or a more modern apartment than this! It was right on the beach and waking up to the sound of the waves was blissful! The apartment was clean, the bed was comfy and had everything you would hope for in terms of a “home from home”. Because of its very central location there was a bit of noise at night from the pubs but no one else has mentioned this so maybe it was just me! I didn’t go out at night so probably noticed it more and it was finished by 11.30pm so not really a problem but just thought I’d mention. And it wouldn’t put me off as I will definitely be back!!

    Jodie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Second time we have stayed here. Would stay again. Great location, great views. Clean and tidy. No issues with comms, or picking up keys. Thank you once again.

    Lorraine2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very nicely decorated and superbly located apartment on the beach with a clear view on two sides of the sea and the beach. You access by a small narrow staircase upstairs. Refurbished and comfortable, very low ceiling contributing to the cozy atmosphere, super reclining sofa for napping or watching TV with a clear view of the beach or the sea. Bed a bit hard for sensitive backs. We were there in winter and on weekdays with very low attendance, it was very quiet, but maybe not in summer with the pubs and clubs around. Magnificent sunrise over the sea in February. Everything at hand without a car. We recommend although a little expensive because really nice and the reception to take the keys to the pub next door is very good and practical. You can park for free 5 minutes on foot.

This Victorian two bedroom terrace is a five minute stroll from the beach in the Dickensian town of Broadstairs. After a relaxing day lying on the warm sand with sea salt in your hair, you can come home to light the open fireplace for a romantic cosy evening in front of a movie on the sofa, or perhaps you would want to have a family barbecue on those warm summer nights in the courtyard garden under the clear coastal night sky. Either way, we're sure you'll love the lazy coastal life our home has to offer you.
People love staying here because it's so close to all local amenities, the beach, walks, cafés, restaurants, train station.
"Broadstairs is brim-full of nostalgic, old-world, seaside charm. Sandy bays meet surf schools. Fishermen's cottages meet Charles Dickens connections. Retro ice-cream parlours meet chic shops. Relaxed and unspoilt, this is the perfect place for chilled-out, family-friendly fun. Broadstairs boasts an impressive seven sand-filled beaches and bays. Head to Joss Bay to learn to surf, or rural Botany Bay to saunter amid towering chalk stacks. At the town's main beach, Viking Bay, discover children's rides, beach huts, Kent Surf School, a harbour and cliff-top promenade. The town has a wealth of inviting cafes, restaurants and bars - two 1950's ice-cream parlours Morelli's and Chiappini's provide flavourful scoops of nostalgia too. In the High Street, historic red-brick and flint-fronted buildings are dotted between a rich stock of independent shops. Look out for galleries including New Kent Art , Little Art Gallery and Broadstairs Gallery Broadstairs was Charles Dickens' favourite holiday spot. Explore a wealth of Dickens memorabilia and prints at the Dickens House Museum - also the former home of Mary Pearson Strong, who inspired the character Betsey Trotwood in David Copperfield. You can also visit Bleak House, an imposing, cliff-top building where Dickens holidayed in the 1850s and '60s, and wrote David Copperfield. Cliff-top paths link beautiful bays, just inland St Peter's village stages award-winning heritage tours, while the Crampton Tower Museum provides an intriguing insight into Victorian engineering. After all that, kick-back and enjoy a free afternoon concert at the bandstand. Each June, Broadstairs' week-long Dickens Festival overflows with costumed characters, talks, plays and beach outings. In mid-August, the funky Broadstairs Folk Week brings music sessions to pubs, gardens and beaches. Broadstairs Water Gala is a family-friendly fiesta of sandcastle-building, teddy bears picnicking and fireworks too. While in October, the three-day Broadstairs Food Festival is an irresistible celebration of locally-produced, fine food and drink." Thanet Tourist Information Board
  • A lovely, unpretentious yet stylish house in a superb, quiet location. All questions before booking were answered really quickly and helpful dog friendly suggestions offered. We had a lovely welcome with fresh eggs, bread, wine and milk and fairy lights lit up the staircase! Sparkling clean and comfortable throughout. Just around the corner from the high street with shops, bakeries and cafes and 5 mins from the seafront. We had a great meal at the Amber Palace Indian restaurant which is just across the high street. Teenage boys and husband were very happy with Sky Sports!

  • Alex’s house is perfectly located for exploring Broadstairs. We were welcomed with Mulled wine & the Xmas tree was still up which was lovely & cosy in the front room. The house was suitable for our baby with a highchair, stairgate & plug covers plus toys & books. We enjoyed our stay & would recommend it.

    Amber2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home, really well decorated and has everything you need. Alex was really quick to respond when we had a question about the TV. The house is done up beautifully and is in a good location, just a short walk from the beach. It was also extremely clean. We’d definitely stay again. Thanks!

    Caroline2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • A really lovely and stylish home, well located for a stay in Broadstairs. The two bedrooms are a great size, with room for a cot in each and the downstairs was bigger than expected. We enjoyed our stay over New Year and it was lovely to have Christmas decorations up in the house to make it feel more homely.

    Hannah2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great little house, nice period fireplaces in the bedrooms but comfortable and modern kitchen and bathroom. The Christmas tree and bottle of wine/eggs/bread left for us were lovely touches and Alex was great at responding quickly to my questions. The location is quiet and a v short walk into the town. My only feedback would be that a microwave would have been handy to heat up our sons milk bottles.

My place is a beautiful, light, one-bedroom maisonette right next to Dane Park. It is situated 5 minutes taxi ride from the train station, and is about the same time to the beach (20 minutes walk). The apartment is newly renovated with modern fixtures, including a brand new kitchen diner with an open space living room. Upstairs boasts a large victorian bathroom with a huge freestanding bath, jack and jill twin basins and stunning 200 year old floorboards. Not one to miss!
One of it's most redeeming features is the unique wooden cladding on the walls and a barn door which leads into the open kitchen area. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and a small library of books to peruse. Hire bikes and explore the town, and the surrounding areas such as the Viking trail, Botany Bay, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. These beaches are sandy and are accompanied by great white cliffs, which make for scenic rides and stunning picnic settings. Margate is currently the UK's most up-and-coming and talked about seaside town with attractions such as; Margate's large sandy beach, Dreamland, Shell Grotto (6 mins walk), cafes (Cliffs cafe and Fort's are favourites) boutique shops in the old town, old pubs, a museum, and much more all within walking/cycling distance of the flat! GB Pizza Co. on the beach at sunset is a must! **Please note there is no shower it is a bath only- guests are advised to leave plenty of time for bathing. Any excuse to share a bath with a glass of wine of an evening!
  • I highly recommend Georgina's flat. Perfect location, beautiful space. It's stunning, cosy, creative & cool. I visited alone, but it would be a perfect romantic retreat. Thank you so much Georgie!

  • Beautiful, spacious and stylish flat, perfect for a weekend getaway. The kitchen has everything you need, the bedroom upstairs is very comfy and the freestanding bath was a highlight! • Absolutely loved staying in Georgina's beautiful apartment – exactly as described, if not better :) The bathroom in particular is great! It's an easy 20 minute walk into town, or cabs were between £3-5 and were easy to get. Super easy check in/out and no problems whatsoever... A total joy staying here for a few days – we hope to come back soon :) Would very much recommend. Thanks Georgina! X

Welcome to our self-contained annex which is connected to the family home in a quiet cul-de-sac in Broadstairs. We live 15 minutes walk from Joss Bay and 20-30 minutes walk from the town centre, train station, supermarket and bus routes. Unless you enjoy a lot of walking, the Annex is best suited to those with a car. The annex overlooks a spacious family garden which is used by two dogs and children.
The Annex is ideal for couples and the bed can either be a super king size or twins. A sofa bed can be made up in the living area but please understand that this is a small double. The accommodation is small and cosy and extra guests will need to walk through the bedroom to use the bathroom.
The Annex is located in a quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance of the sea.

Lovely outdoor space - garden, decking & seating. Beautifully & stylishly decorated with some lovely touches (fairy lights & fresh flowers). Cosy & warm on arrival & the little fridge is perfect for cool drinks - milk, water & Diet Coke were provided too! Loved there was no TV & relaxed to watch a DVD as there’s a variety to choose from. • Lovely bright room in an excellent location perfect for exploring Broadstairs and nearby. Nicola was quick to respond and very welcoming. The array of teas, coffees and chocolates was a nice touch and little details like fresh flowers in the hallway showed Nicola's excellent hospitality. • Beautiful home, superb location. Everything on your doorstep, yet feels quiet and peaceful. Seb responded to all of my messages promptly, the house was wonderfully clean and well kitted out and felt really welcoming. On a dismal weekend of wind and rain the house as warm and cosy and we were so close to pubs and restaurants that it wasn't a 'mission' to go out and sample the local nightlife

Small quirky terraced house in a quiet friendly road in St Peters, Broadstairs. Parking can be difficult/impossible at the weekend. You may need to park nearby. Whole house and small garden. Twenty minute walk from Broadstairs station. Two bikes are available for use! Nearest beach Joss Bay and Kingsgate or you can go into Broadstairs. Tea and coffee available and you can use all amenities. Pet friendly. Not for minimalists!
Art, art and more art. A small garden to sit out in. I hope you will find my home fun and interesting, but with all the usual amenities..
Quiet friendly street with real ale pub around the corner. Thirty minute walk to beaches. Parking can be difficult on my street, you may need to park on Northdown Road, at the top of my street.
  • Great stay at Janice's cottage. Cosy, comfortable and welcoming. Lovely to stay in a real home with oodles of individual styling. The Yard of Ale pub round the corner is definitely worth a look. We brought our dog who settled in quickly. Janice had some good suggestions for local dog-friendly walks. Loved Broadstairs - High Street and bay a bit of a step from the cottage, but we found some great pubs, restaurants and best of all, some excellent walks up and down the coast. Top weekend.

  • Lovely little house in a great village just outside of Broadstairs. Great communication.

  • A cosy home with personality, great little getaway location and lovely that dogs are welcome.

    Georgina2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place is so cute and full of little bits and bobs. It’s like walking through a gallery when you first get there. The shower was amazing, it was nice and warm, the bed was really comfy and it’s just around the corner from the bus stop! Very convenient. Had a great weekend there, would definitely stay again.

    Desiree2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Janice has an amazing house, quiet, stylish and within easy reach of the town centre.

    Joanna2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Janice’s charming home. Janice’s house certainly is quirky, we loved the eclectic style, there are so many charming things to look at, which kept us entertained. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make dinner and appreciated the tea, coffee and milk provided. The shower was lovely hot and powerful. Janice left us a note with some local tips for dog walks which was great. Only a 5 minute drive to the beach. We were very grateful for Janice accommodating us at short notice. Thank you for letting us stay.

  • Lovely stay at Maggie's. The place is spacious and a real home away from home with everything you need plus outdoor space and all a very short walk away from the sea. Maggie was a great host, sending lots of information before we arrived and responding super quickly to a question we had once we'd arrived. Definitely recommend as a quiet, clean and comfortable space to explore Margate.

  • Maggie & Adam's townhouse is perfectly situated for everything. It's a 5 minute walk to good supermarkets & cafes for breakfast or just coffee. 10 minute walk to Old Town and the beach. There is plenty to see and do if you wish to stay local, or it's a lovely drive to Broadstairs and surrounding towns. The townhouse has everything you could want - the facilities are brilliant, garden is lovely and private - the whole place feels like a home, not just somewhere to rent for a week or so. It feels warm and inviting. Maggie and Adam responded quickly to any questions I had and they were so wonderful, accommodating and helpful. This place is a true gem of a find!

    Alice2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house, very clean and spacious and with all the amenities one might need (including very helpful basics like toiletries and tea and coffee etc!) Outside spaces very nice (even better in the summer I imagine) and altogether excellent value. Communication with Maggie was very pleasant, prompt and helpful. Lots of good recommendations on where to eat and see etc. Short walk to the seaside promenade and lots of shops for necessities closer by. Perfect for a weekend in Margate - I will certainly be returning!

    Joe2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, very clean and spacious. Only 10 mins walk from old town. The main road near by has everything you need and local buses can get you to Broadstairs in 20 mins which we loved for food and drinks. Great communication with Maggie and some useful bits of food and drink were there for us. Would recommend and return if I was down that way again.

  • We were looking for a weekend away near the sea, and really enjoyed our stay with Jazmin and Richi. Lovely yurt and very welcoming hosts, thanks for the recommendations where to eat and help with fire so we were cosy warm.

    Katja2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place. The wood burner in the yurt makes all the difference, especially in winter.

  • Jazmin and Richie are the most lovely kind and helpful hosts! The yurt is absolutely magical and would absolutely recommend. Thanks again to Jazmin and Richie!

    Naz2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for something a little different, look no further! Jazmin really took care of us with her awesome communication and hospitality skills. Even in late November/early December, we were cozy and warm in the Yurt - especially once the very efficient (and silent) heater fired up! We were shown all around and briefed on everything we needed to know upon our arrival, we were very confident in what we were doing straight away. You really do get a great feeling when you wake up in the morning... it's all very Narnia! Thanks once again guys! Mark & Julie ;-)

    Mark2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was cosy and jazz and her family were very welcoming.

    Emma2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jazmin and Richie are very friendly and welcoming hosts and provided us with everything we needed. The yurt is very cozy and we loved the light chains and candles. The whirlpool was great as well especially because it was raining and cold outside. We also went to a Thai restaurant they recommended and enjoyed the food there :)

Our little cottage by the sea is quirky and cosy. Perfect to take some time out and relax. We are surrounded by beautiful beaches. With the picturesque Viking bay being just a two minute walk away. Enjoy some delicious food and drinks in the near by bars and restaurants or make use of the gorgeous kitchen and snuggle up for the evening. The local shops are a very short walk away and you can find everything you might need. Grab a bottle of red and some fish and chips and get comfy on the beach!
Our little cottage sleeps 4 comfortably and 6 using the sofa bed. We are perfectly situated in central broadstairs. With the beach, restaurants, bars and shops a stones throw away. Please note, this property is an old cottage laid out over 3 floors.

  • Wow what a beautiful find; I cant recommend this beautiful three bedroom cottage enough. The decor is sublime like out of a best homes magazine. Supremely clean and stylish all over. The bathroom and roll top bath is a particular highlight.. but the whole place feels homely, colourful and welcoming. Literally a stones throw from the beach, lovely restaurants and boutique shops. Glorious views are abundant from the beach front. Excellent stay; highly recommended!

    Phil2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you. It’s a beautifully presented character cottage, just right for us as a family of 4 (plus dog!). Good space and interesting layout, some lovely personal touches and thoughtful gifts. Would happily stay here again.

    Richard2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sophia & Dan were exceptional hosts and the cottage was stunning! We couldn't have asked for a nicer stay when visiting Broadstairs - the cottage was cosy and warm and was in the best possible location (within a 5 minute walk to all of the best local restaurants, bars and of course, beach). Sophia & Dan also suggested some great places for us to visit during our stay which was extremely helpful considering we were only there for a couple of days (it's always best to trust the locals!) But yes to summarise - great hosts, great cottage, great location, great town & (fingers crossed) great weather = the perfect getaway!

Beach Retreat is a charming one bedroom apartment with direct access to the famous blue flag "Viking Bay" in Broadstairs and unprecedented panoramic views of the bay and sea from the balcony. You have the pier/harbour arm directly opposite and watching the sun rise whilst laying in bed through the balcony doors is amazing (I have uploaded a photo). You can sleep with the doors open in the summer and the sound of the ocean crashing against the shore is one awesome soundtrack!
Upon entering Beach Retreat you find yourself opening the door into a secure hallway with a telecom to the communal front door and automatic lighting so no need to put your bags down when entering to turn on the light. The first door to the left is the lounge/kitchen/diner which has a bay window overlooking the beach, gardens and pier. This is my favourite spot during a stormy winters day, inside in the warm watching the world go by, the waves crashing over the pier and indulging in a book. You have a fully equipped kitchen, so you can cook your own gourmet meal, serve up a take away in the crockery and cutlery supplied or walk up the 10 or so steps up onto the promenade where you have a host of fantastic restaurants within a 10 second walk or so. For this season we will be trialling tea/coffee/milk & sugar in the apartment too. In the lounge you have comfortable sofas with seating for 4 if you wish to bring a friend back to see the apartment, although please remember we can only sleep 2. There is plenty of lighting, books and a few DVD's for people to enjoy. If you follow the hallway to the end you will find your way into the Master Bedroom, upon opening the door you can see the carefully thought out space, with the light bouncing off the newly decorated walls. Your eyes will instantly be drawn to the French doors that lead to that fantastic balcony overlooking the bay. Out here you can sit and enjoy a drink, breakfast or I even like to sit out here on a summers day and read to the sound of the birds and waves lapping the shore. We do permit smoking on the balcony ONLY and cigarettes are to be disposed of in the sand bucket provided. Bathroom Located off the hallway we have recently modified the bathroom, with a new shower and all accessories. We include towels for interior use (not beach), a flannel, hand towel and bath towel will be supplied per person. There is also toilet roll and hand soap too.
Broadstairs is a coastal town on the Isle of Thanet in the Thanet district of east Kent, England, about 80 miles (130 km) east of London. It is part of the civil parish of Broadstairs and St Peter's, which includes St Peter's, and had a population in 2011 of about 25,000. Situated between Margate and Ramsgate, Broadstairs is one of Thanet's seaside resorts, known as the "jewel in Thanet's crown". The town's coat of arms's Latin motto is Stella Maris ("Star of the Sea"). The name derives from a former flight of steps in the chalk cliff, which led from the sands up to the 11th-century shrine of St Mary on the cliff's summit. The town spreads from Haine Road in the west to Kingsgate (named after the landing of King Charles II in 1683), a hamlet in St Peter parish[2] in the north, and to Dumpton in the south (named after the yeoman Dudeman who farmed there in the 13th century). The hamlet of Reading (formerly Reden or Redyng) Street was established by Flemish refugees in the 17th century.
  • Great flat for a long weekend, and central location can’t be beaten! Loved the sound of the waves all night long, and waking to the sun rising - beautiful!

    Rebecca2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I requested to book one night last minute as we had stayed with Holiday Lets In Kent previously but needed a small property this time. I was wowed last time by Victory House but this time that view took my breath away! We experienced a storm and it was amazing looking out and watching the waves go over the pier last night. This morning I actually sent a picture to Holiday Lets In Kent of the most beautiful colourful sunrise. The facilities are great and it’s within walking distance to everywhere. We would have loved a pack of cards but other then that the property is perfect and way better then the photos show.

    Gemma2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean flat, newly finished bedroom and bathroom. Is even better than the pictures. Great living area/kitchen. Perfect location as well. Well worth the stay. Better than a hotel

  • I cannot recommend this place enough, you have to see it to experience it. You can smell the sea air and watch the tides come in and out. So peaceful, even with the noise of the sea. It sjould be out of 10, and even then I would give it a 20. Amazing hosts aswell, who promptly dealt with any queries

Seven Bays Cottage is a perfectly located seaside retreat, nestled in a leafy corner of old town Broadstairs, less than 2 minutes walk from the beach and just a stones throw from stunning beaches, coastal walks, independent shops, pubs and restaurants.
A handsome 19th century cottage, set over 3 floors and lovingly refurbished throughout. The location is central but surprisingly secluded making it the perfect place to retreat and relax after a hard day at the beach. Ground floor A small entrance porch invites you into a sociable open plan living and dining space. Generously furnished throughout with everything you need for a cosy coastal stay. The dining table also extends for up to 6 guests with additional seating provided. We also have a high chair (on request) for tiny guests. At the rear you’ll find a fully fitted kitchen that also includes integrated dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge-freezer and breakfast bar. First floor A large modern bathroom with wonderful walk-in shower. Adjacent to this is the first double bedroom. Second floor The second double bedroom and single room is located on the top floor. All rooms have double glazed, sash windows bringing in plenty of light during the day. Fitted shutters throughout the front of the cottage keep it refreshingly cool in the summer and wonderfully cosy in winter. And no expense has been spared on mattresses and crisp cotton sheets, ensuring you a great nights sleep. Front garden A private, gravelled courtyard with picnic table, adjacent to the communal pathway (most often used by the lovely neighbours).
What’s not to love about Broadstairs? Few places can lay claim to such an enticing mix of historic charm, great food and drink and straight-up bucket and spade, sand-between-the-toes fun. Packed with independent shops, cafes, bars and pubs and not one, but two perfectly preserved ice cream parlours. Boasting seven beautiful, sandy beaches from the ever popular Viking Bay to the secluded, golden sands and chalk stacks of Botany Bay. If that’s not enough for you, then Margate and Ramsgate are a stones throw away. Both packed with more of the above.

Quaint 1 bed Flint cottage in the heart of old Broadstairs. 1 minutes walk from the charming historical jetty and wonderful Viking bay. Broadstairs is a traditional old fashioned seaside town with plenty of trendy coffee shops, bars and restaurants.
  • This house is beautifully situated right in the heart of Broadstairs. No parking but easy enough to park nearby. Lovely and clean.

  • We had such a wonderful stay in Barbara's home!! We loved it so much we stayed longer than originally planned! The kitchen was beautiful and stocked, the bed comfy, the living room cosy and just everything was lovely. We were so close to the beach and shops! And the amusements of course ;) Such a great stay, we will definitely be back.

    Emily2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This house is absolutley fabulous! Great location just by Viking Bay and all that lovely Broadstairs have to offer but it's set back in a lovely tranquil square. It looks better than the photos which don't do it justice - spotlessly clean, bright and lighter as it is all painted white, nicely furnished with plenty of nice touches (toiletries in the bathroom, use of staple goods in the kitchen) . Barbara was so welcoming and it was a very easy comfortable stay. We loved it and will definitely go back again!!

    Isabel2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect base for Broadstairs, walkable to everywhere. Bright, spotless, the whole use of the house - well equipped kitchen, sitting room and bathroom. Plus thoughtful touches left by Barbara for breakfast.

    Davina2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication with Barbara, right from the start! Wonderfully central location, in a courtyard so no road noise or pedestrian late night revellers passing by. Property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good quality bedding, comfy bed, great shower, nice ambient lighting throughout and ample plug points. Internet worked well and plenty of books and games use, if you have time! Nice decor throughout too. No adjacent parking, so pull up and offload everything before using Eastern Esplanade for free parking. Be aware in August this was nearly full at midday, and had to park a good 15 minute walk away.

  • A totally peaceful little house in a quiet square but so close to all amenities, it's hard to believe that all you hear are seagulls. Beautifully furnished but with all homely necessities. Light and bright..we feel totally refreshed from our few days away and found it very hard to leave. Cannot fault Barbara's lovely little house.

    Rosalind2019-07-31T00:00:00Z

Situated in a charming seaside town with 7 sandy beaches and a varied selection of restaurants and drinking establishments. There is a historical connection with Charles Dickens. An annual Dickens Festival is held in June. Folk Week takes place in August bringing an eclectic mix of music and vibrancy to the town . We are fortunate though to have varied music available all during the year not only in Broadstairs but also in neighbouring Margate and Ramsgate.
My home is a two bedroom property with gardens in the village of St Peter's.
I love where I live Broadstairs is beautiful at any time of year. Many aspects of the town have remained unchanged which is I feel at the root of it's charm. Always something to do whether it be simply having a walk into town for a meal or drink overlooking the harbour or enjoying some music, theatre a trip to the Turner Centre for the current exhibition and a stunning Turner sunset. Never a boring place to be.
  • I first stayed with Theresa in February 2018 - and I was delighted to see she had space for me when I decided to come to the 2020 Blues Bash. We got on so well that if I'm in Broadstairs and not staying with her (e.g. camping at Folk Week) we usually meet up. She friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to. Her house is very tidy and clean, as well as being easy to find (just turn left at the Broadway if you're coming into Broadstairs) - and has plenty of parking nearby. There is always a choice at breakfast too.

  • very very recommended. very nice house, particular and very clean, abundant, varied and very good breakfast, really nice and comfortable room. the station is a 15 minute walk (from which in half an hour you can get to canterbury and less than an hour and a half to london), the bus stop (for the center on the sea (town) and the station) and 5 minutes and the bus service is very frequent and precise and also serves the other places of the thanet (margate, ramsgate). for those who want to walk there are kilometers of walks along the cliff or along the beach that connect the various towns on the coast together. theresa is a very special person, always available, kind and generous with advice and attention, curious and friendly. it really made me feel at home and I hope to be back. very very recommended. very nice house, individual and very clean, abundant, varied and very good breakfast, really nice and comfortable room. the station is a 15 minute walk (from there in half an hour you can get to canterbury and less than an hour and a half to london), the bus stop (for the center on the sea (town) and the station) is a 5 minutes and the bus service is very frequent and precise and serves other towns of thanet (margate, ramsgate). for those who like to walk there are kilometers of walks along the cliff or along the beach that connect the various towns on the coast together. theresa is a very special person, always available, kind and generous with advice and attention, curious and friendly. she really made me feel at home and I hope to be back.

In association with Trinity House, Rural Retreats is pleased to present Khina Cottage at North Foreland Lighthouse. Khina is one of two holiday cottages available at the lighthouse, which lies on the chalk headland above the charming and unspoilt seaside town of Broadstairs at the far eastern tip of Kent. Both cottages are very child friendly, surrounded by spacious lawned grounds and set well away from cliffs. The holiday cottages have shared use of a very large, one-acre lawned garden and patio with ample space to sit out. The earliest reference to a light on North Foreland was given in a deed dated 1499 and, at that time, it was almost certain that the beacon was used to warn of attack or piracy rather than as an aid to navigation. The lighthouse does not have a fog signal. This holiday cottage at a glance Sleeps three or four guests. It is suitable for a maximum of three adults. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. Shared use of a very large, one acre lawned garden and patio. WiFi. Onsite parking. Sorry, charging of electric cars is not permitted. Khina cottage welcomes up to two well behaved, supervised dogs (small additional charge), however please be aware this site is not enclosed and has direct access to a road. Minimum of a two night stay. Please see important information regarding this property within the Notes Tab above. Additional features Stunning sea views. Gas effect wood burner, electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. TV and CD player. Telephone with honesty box. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Garden furniture. Also on this site is Lodesman Cottage, sleeping four guests. Attractions and nearby amenities Visit Joss Bay which has an excellent sandy beach only a few minutes walk from the property. The nearest pub, the Digby Inn, is a 10-minute stroll and serves good food. For golfing enthusiasts, the North Foreland Golf Club is very close by. Broadstairs has good sandy beaches and an attractive old town which has literary associations with Charles Dickens. Bleak House in the town of Broadstairs is where Dickens lived while he was writing David Copperfield. The town holds a Dickens Festival in June each year and a popular Folk Music Week in August.
  • We loved the cottage, the grounds and the location. It was also really nicely stocked with the basics which makes it easier just to settle in and relax. Five minute walk to the beautiful Joss Bay and within walking distance to other beaches and the town center. We will be back!

This gorgeous cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and is perfect for one or two families or a group of friends. Two minutes walk from the clifftops, main beaches, bars and restaurants of Broadstairs makes this property a great location for summer holidays or winter breaks by the wood burner. Sleeps 8 with 2.5 bathrooms. Minimum two nights.
All the necessary creature comforts in a perfect location come winter or summer, with all you will need within short walking distance. No car needed!
Serendipity Cottage is a two minute walk to the clifftops and five minutes to the beaches, shops, pubs and restaurants.
  • Beautiful, cosy cottage in a great location. The kitchen and living room were particularly gorgeous! Lots of space for 8. However the main bathroom is a bath with a handheld shower, would have been better if it was a fully functioning shower.

  • as Rachel says, it is very close to town centre. plenty of pubs and bars and eateries. lovely sandy beach. unfortunately i had to leave a bit early because of my ongoing knee pains. but the place was perfect........

  • Rachel is a great host. I love staying at her place very much. It’s cozy, conveniently located and very beautiful. I’ll definitely come back.

  • Rachel is a great host who will go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The room is cosy, super clean, the house is a few minutes walk from the town centre, 15 minutes walk from station. Perfect for a quiet week end away from the city. Visit The Chapel, down the road, for a drink and read a book!

    Anne2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel is charming and it's super central to the beach and the fun. We shall go again - and pack bicycles to explore more of the coast. We recommend visiting all the local great places (lots of music in local interesting bars and pubs) and inviting the host along as she's such wonderful company. The home is dog and children/student friendly and the homeowner is extremely considerate - so ask what's on your mind and she'll help out always (she's even been able to lay on food if you're worried - but the town is safe to walk about with plenty of delicious places). You are definitely treated like a member of the family - it's not a bed & breakfast/hotel atmosphere. Apparently someone didn't realise there was a dog - it's very sweetnatured and it's unusual the owner let's you bring yours too - from October you can walk on the beach each year with a dog. Worth knowing.

  • Rachel is well situated in the centre of Broadstairs with easy access to all amenities. Rachel is a great host and you will be sure of a warm welcome. The room is clean and comfortable and I'm sure a great stay awaits you.

The log cabin is set in a large garden away from the house near to hens and fruit trees with bbq and firepit. It is fully insulated, double glazed, green energy heated, log cabin with its own mini kitchen, shower room, fully sprung double bed and a single hideaway bed. The property is situated on a housing estate a mile and a half from numerous sandy bays and close to the seaside resorts of Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs which can be accessed by the loop bus service just round the corner.
The log cabin creates a lovely private space surrounded by natural wood. It helps to give a sense of being 'away from it all' but still having the convenience of easy access to local amenities.
  • Lovely comfy log cabin, 40 minute walk from the sea, assuming a degree of slowness like mine, only a 10 minute walk from the co-op, set in a pleasant suburban garden. Really comfy beds, including the stowable one, chickens next door, good facilities, friendly and communicative hosts, good value for money, recommended. It was great to meet Peter and his family, many thanks for a lovely stay.

  • Great space, great host

    Conor2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is cosy and really peaceful. The surrounding area is beautifully quiet so you really escape from it all! We enjoyed the fact we could make use of the fire pit and Peter and Hilary provided everything we needed. The cabin is impeccably clean and it has a lovely shower and very comfortable beds, we thoroughly recommend it.

  • A log cabin in the midst of Broadstairs is certainly not what I expected for a few days away on my own between Christmas and New Year.. It turned out to be a very relaxing stay within the Swedish style surroundings! The garden was a nice space and I’m sure would be lovely in the Spring and Summer.

Welcome to our bright one-bed Victorian apartment. A lot of time and love has gone into transforming it into the open-plan space it is now. The kitchen is new, as is the bathroom, and the floorboards have been pulled up, insulated for warmth and soundproofing and laid back down again. The Turner gallery is a five-minute walk away and although the street is still in the process of regeneration, my flat sits right at the top, next to Cliftonville's main road and its many cafes and restaurants.
The kitchen has walnut worktops, a new oven, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge and freezer. The bath is huge. We recommend lolling about in it with lots of Epsom Salts and some Palo Santo. We have a large bed with a new mattress, new pillows, new duvet and new sheets. As you can see from the photos, we like rich colours, heavy textures and animal print. This is a cosy flat with families in the vicinity so it's perfect for two to chill out in. Decent coffee is just 7 minutes away. I can send you plenty of suggestions for eating, drinking and strolling before you arrive.
As my first description says, our road is, like much of Margate, still in the process of change, which means, yes, it's still a little shabby, but 'sold' signs are cropping up continually and buildings are being given new life. The flat sits at the top of the road next to Northdown Road and all its conveniences. At the bottom of the road is the sea and the Lido.
  • The place is exactly as described and was the perfect place to spend a few days in. The tips given to us were nothing short of amazing and we're already looking to return!

  • Thanks very much for letting us stay at your stylish flat! Ivan and Lisa were great with providing local recommendations and were quick to respond if we needed anything.

    Scott2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • When looking for a place in Margate Lisa and Ivan's place stuck out straight away and we weren't disappointed. The flat is as stylish as it looks in the pictures and we felt it really captured the Margate experience. As well as being a relaxing base (with nice deep bath), it was in an ideal location to explore the sights and Lisa provided lots of local tips. Highly recommended!

  • This place is so ideal. The decor is incredible, Lisa was so responsive and kind with so many good recommendations and the flat is perfectly situated. We’d love to move in... we’ll 100% be back!

    Mark2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing stay here! The interior design is so lovely and cosy which made the overall stay so enjoyable. The communication beforehand was top notch and Lisa sent through lots of personal recommendations which was a great touch. All instructions about the flat, the heating system and the shower/bath are very clear and the flat is as described! If I ever come back to Margate again I would want to book Lisa’s Airbnb again without a doubt.

    Frida2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and walking distance to all the spots you need along the shoreline in in town. We loved the flat and the way it's been styled. You can tell it is well looked after by Lisa and Ivan since its their primary home. Thank you for our great NYE in Margate.

    Michel2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at Lisa and Ivan’s place. The flat is stylish, clean and well-equipped. Bed was super comfy and the bath is to die for. You can just see the sea from the window, and the place is also within easy walking distance of the Turner Gallery and town centre. We also needed to extend our stay at very short notice and Lisa was so efficient in sorting this for us. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

  • A fabulous location with beautiful views to wake up to! Such easy access to the beach. A charming, spacious apartment perfect for families. Our toddler loved the children’s bedroom. Sparkling clean kitchen, very useable. Lots of local information available. Simone was very helpful with her information before our stay and was accommodating to our late Friday night arrival. We really enjoyed our weekend stay and would most definitely return! Many thanks, Kaleigh

This newly refurbished holiday home is in a spectacular location, set back from the clifftops of the Eastern Esplanade in Broadstairs. Below the cliffs lies the family friendly Stone Bay, a less crowded alternative to the main beach at Viking Bay. Broadstairs promenade, the main beach and the town is only a 5 minutes walk away. This beautiful seaside town offers many wonderful restaurants and bars, art galleries and retro ice cream parlours. Easy free parking
The property boasts a spacious lounge and diner area, with a fully equipped kitchen (induction hobb, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine) to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
This location is ideal for everyone. Families will appreciate the easy and quick access to the beach (not only families !!!) Town with all shops and restaurants is in a walking distance (5 minutes)with a nice walk along the front. Even more appreciated in the summer when parking becomes a real challenge nearer in town. Many pubs and restaurants (same 5 minutes !) are in a walking distance, but far enough to avoid night noises. The flat is also in retreat from the road along the front which can get quite busy in the summer.
  • Excellent in all respects

  • Other airbnb property owners be on notice - the bar has been raised! What a wonderful break we just had, in a gorgeous property - the standard for the cost was outstanding. Joanna was the perfect host, all the small touches that made life so much easier for us, even messaging local events & tips during our stay for us to consider. If you are considering a break in the area, you *must* consider this property - you won't be disappointed.

  • Beautiful flat, very modern and spotlessly clean, with extras like milk and eggs in the fridge! Lovely proximity to the sea, and free parking too. The host was amazing and gave us the full Sunday for free. She was very accommodating, provided 2 sets of keys to the place, a high chair, cot and baby bath for my 1 year old. This flat is ideal for families as it is on the ground floor. The area is also very quiet. We were very impressed and loved our stay.

  • This is a lovely little flat in superb condition. It's ideal for a quiet retreat or a base for visiting the area. Joanna was very helpful and responded very quickly to our messages, although there wasn't really anything to message about except the check-in arrangements as everything was in such good order. We had a very relaxing stay and this will be the first place we look at next time we're visiting the area.

  • Kirsty’s place has a key box so there’s no disturbing her family. Heater was on when arrived which was great. Such a clean and thoughtful space at the bottom of the garden. It has everything you need for a short stay. Bed was very comfortable and warm, a large tv to watch whilst in bed was a bonus. We will be stopping again and certainly recommend this place to others

  • The cherry lodge is a lovely place to stay when staying in Broadstairs. It's a really warm and cozy space just walking distance from the station and high street. The hosts are very accommodating and quick to answer messages.
