We strongly recommend stayibg at Paolo & Ana's place. Paolo is an outstanding host. He interacts with guests on a very personal level & shares personal stories, is super attentive to wishes (he e.g. brought us fruits from his garden whe we were hungry). Be sure to eat at Paolo's, if you have the chance. He is an outstanding cook and uses only local ingredients/many products from his garden!

We really much enjoyed to stay with Paolo. He gave us a warm welcome with wine and snacks. He often had a nice chat with us, provide us with a little snack or a glass of wine while we just relaxed. We also took advantage of his cooking which is amazing! Very recommendable! One of the most personal and unique travel experiences we have made so far.

It was a perfect retreat, all pictures are very accurate, we spent time at the pool and on the patio, the view is stunning and peaceful. Paolo hospitality and sense of service were exceptional. Paolo definitely made our trip memorable. I would strongly advise to ask him about dinner service, he's an experienced cook. We had an authentic, bio italian food experience. Spending time at night having dinner with other travellers is one of these precious experience.

Hospitality out of the ordinary. The area is very beautiful and not very popular with tourists! The view during meals is exceptional!

Cool stay at the bottom of the mountains in the countryside of Italy. Loved the smell of lavender and rosemary at the bottom of the restaurant. The food was good and the chef was friendly. Luisa the host was very prompt in responding to questions. Thank you!

Luisa's place was a wonderful relaxing respite from some of the other bigger cities we visited. Good was excellent, and she even gave us great tips for other places to eat nearby. The scenery in this region is breathtaking

Very nice place in the country. Quiet, relaxing and perfect for a down day. They have an amazing restaurant (unsure of the hours, not posted) for dinner and a great breakfast. There is a spa with Turkish bath/sauna and massages. And, bikes available in the shed. WiFi is available, but only near the restaurant. There is a large bed in a bedroom and a couch that becomes a large bed in the living area. Highly recommend for a nice, relaxing place in the mountains.

Great place to unwind. We were in the off season, so all communication went by app / phone. Lady on location was very friendly and even did our laundry. Facilities were great, just missed a kitchen afterwards. Especially in the low season when you don't want to sit in the large dining room for two. We have now collected pizza / pasta.

Wonderful stay! Comfortable beds, nice kitchen with all you need to cook. Nice feeling in the space. Antonio and his business partner, Anna made our stay in Contessa so special. It was a family heritage trip and one of the most important weekends of my life.

Our trip to Contessa Entellina was far better than we could have ever hoped for and it was all thanks to Antonino and his partner and friend Anna as well as Carla and her husband Santino. This was the most welcoming town we have ever experienced. Thanks to Anna for her great passion of the Contessa region and her outstanding English (she actually teaches English) as well as Italian, Sicilian, and Arbëresh, she was able to guide us and interpret for us throughout it into stay. We were able to meet many of the locals as well as do some research on our ancestors who emigrated from Contessa Entellina. She brought us to the city hall where they had records back to 1820, as well as the Greek and Latin churches that have records even further back. She brought us to the museum and gave us a lot of insight into the history of the area and well as the migration of the Arbëreshë people from Albania to Contessa. She brought us to wineries, cheese making, the Santa Maria del Bosco Abbey, the cemetery, and too many other places to mention. They had a BBQ with great food and friends and family. Papa Nicholas Cinicola of the Greek Orthodox Church and his wife. BTW, the Greek church is right next to the Airbnb. I cannot say enough good things to say about our experience. The only thing I would have changed is I wish we had longer to stay. My advice to anyone planning to stay with Antonino is to let him know what you are planning to come for and I am sure he will role out the red carpet as they did for us.

Mr. Giuseppe was very kind and welcoming .. nice and spacious apartment with everything you need .. fridge and pantry full of everything ... I recommend it to those who want to visit the hinterland of Palermo

Lovely villa in the heart of sunny Sicily – the ideal place to relax after having toured the island’s cities and ancient sites. The villa is large, secluded, comfortable, with a big pool and beautiful views. A wonderful, restful place!

Fattoria Grogo is a wing of a larger house, set in stunning countryside in the centre of Sicily. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice; the villa is huge. Despite being attached to a bigger property we never felt like we were anything but completely on our own. It’s furnished to a very high quality, with loads of character and charm. The service was excellent. After the first day we noticed the fridge-freezer wasn’t working very well, but within an hour or two of reporting this, a new one was delivered! The house is in a very isolated, rural part of Sicily. This was exactly what we were looking for in order to get away from it all for a week, but may not be for everyone. You definitely need your own cars to get there. The nearest town is a 15 minute drive away, but has everything you might need during your stay. We would happily stay at Fattoria Grogo again, and would highly recommend it.

Me and my wife had a really great stay at there home in the country. The fields were in flower with a vibrant red colour with all the other coloured flower along the driveway up to there house. The beautiful mountains and valleys were very extraordinary views. Had some good talks about what they are growing there,and many helpful tips on what to see and do. We did have dinner there of pasta and salad that was fantastic,and I got to watch and help a bit in the kitchen while cooking dinner for us three days were not enough. Mark and Sue, from Canada

Marcella and Mauro are exceptional hosts, the "road" to arrive home is a little difficult but the home is so simple, natural and warm !!! We would have liked to stay longer.

We were very lucky to meet Mauro and Marcella, their welcome was very warm. The location and accommodation are enchanting, surrounded by nature with all comforts and not far from the village Sambuca di Sicilia. The time spent with them has given us even more 'the beauty of these places, their hospitality' and friendliness' made us feel really at home!

Excellent opportunity to live on a farm, with cats, dogs, horses, delicious food and welcoming hosts. Recommend!

Our favourate place on our 9 day stay. Lovely hosts, scenery & food!! We only stayed 1 night but really enjoyed ourselves. Say yes to the evening meal it is lovely and there is plenty of it! Horse riding with Yasmina was fantastic with great views of the surrounding countryside. Thanks again!!

Ridocco farm is just a beautiful and a great place to spend one or more nights, close to Corleone. We got the chance to go horseback riding in the beautiful area, and had a great dinner when we arrived in the evening. The hosts are very friendly, and we can warmly recommend this place to others.

Our stay at Giovanni's farm outside of Corleone was outstanding! The land and lodging were beautiful, and we enjoyed our family style meals (not included in Airbnb fees) with Giovanni's family and other guests at the farm. Highly recommended!

This hidden gem is located on quiet farm down a long bumpy road. We arrived just in time to watch the sunset from the perfect view overlooking the rolling hills & farms of Sicily. Dinner was absolutely delicious! Breakfast was light but most places in Italy are similar. The room was basic but clean. The only downsides were that wifi was only available downstairs in the common room & the shower takes a while to heat up. We greatly enjoyed our stay and hope you do as well.

This place is a haven of calm in the most beautiful setting imaginable. Upon arrival a stunning view greets you and a picture perfect courtyard provides a great spot for an evening drink. The room was spotless with all our requests provided (cot and child's bed) and hosts were welcoming but not overbearing. We ate there both evenings and were provided with delicious 4 courses - no menu, we just ate what we were brought. An hour's horse ride on the final day topped off our stay beautifully as we explored the family's farm through the rolling hills. Highly recommended for families or anyone seeking nature and beautiful countryside.

A real Agritourism: old homestead, beautifully remodeled, with animals, turnaround, but also the romantic corners to linger: read book in the courtyard, talking under the trees, read by the pool. No big pool, but with a view and it can swim a few moves back and forth. The pool has enough depth and is kept clean. Cool water! Breakfast Italian with Croussant, sweet, coffee, Tost and juice, jam, yogurt. Dinner was very good. Tranquility and views we really enjoyed. Returning to the animals: Giovanni and his brother as mother are of a peaceful nature. And so are the animals. Dogs and cats live peacefully side by side. The dogs (there are 5 or 8 yet?) Barking up exactly once, namely, when you arrive. Then they feel if they can get closer and when you want to have your peace. Horse's, cows somewhere in the fields.

Nice setting stone farmhouse, a cozy family despite her shyness. We felt very comfortable and had a great meal. Especially do not miss to make a delicious meal in good company. Unfortunately we did not have time to ride and perfect for riding with Vincenzo Instructor Level II. Consider buying olive oil made on the farm by the old Giovanni.

Giovanni and his family are very nice and friendly. The place was beautyful. We rented horses for a horseride. Highly recommandable.

Great place for real relaxation !!!

One of the best bnbs for all these years. We really enjoyed our stay there for 3 days, exactly what we were looking for: peaceful countryside stay, well decorated house with garden. We woke up everyday with the sound of cowbell, read books in the courtyard/garden, hiked in mountains nearby, enjoyed delicious dinner cooked by our host Paolo and Annie . Bonus was the companions of Teo (dog) and No name (white cat).

We enjoyed our stay with Paolo very much. The location is great. The view was the nicest view of our trip in Sicily. Paolo and his wife are very friendly and you can even join dinner dinner. Book this place if you go to Sicily!

I was at Paolo's only for one night, but I had a wonderful day thanks to his company and that of the other guests. The place is ideal for a weekend away from the city, immersed in silence and cared for with love for simple things. I recommend it and I will be back as soon as I get the chance. The rooms are very spacious and clean, the only flaw was a first difficulty in reaching the place, but resolved immediately thanks to the readiness and availability of the landlord in answering me and immediately giving me the right directions. Go and see Paolo and his wife, you will surely like it :)

Not to miss! Paolo is an incredible host and cook. We had a great time in the middle of the beautiful mountains, with an amazing view and sunset.

One of the most beautiful properties I've stayed at via Airbnb. Salvatore and Angela are lovely hosts. The country home is stylishly appointed, yet cozy and comfortable enough to enjoy a wonderful Sicilian countryside vacation in. The gardens surrounding the property are lovely and the pool is the best place to cool off in the summer heat.

This Abbey is absolutely stunning. A real piece of history, lost in the middle of nowhere! You enter through a huge and majestic corridor commending all the rooms, very large rooms, all ensuite with an as large bathroom. All are very well equipped and very clean The dining rooms, sitting rooms are all very inviting and reminding of another time. And the peace and quietness is so refreshing! The 2 cloisters are gorgeous and a pleasure to leisure around. The pool has a great setting, yet the water was still cool mid July, courtesy of the altitude I believe. We have been wonderfully welcomed by the owners, who can speak good French and English, and learned a lot about the history of the region and the abbey itself. We cooked and equally had a great meal prepared by our host: succulent Italian food. The only drawback is the difficulty to reach the abbey, through narrow and poorly maintained road. Luckily the view is beautiful all the way through! Highly recommended.
