Landscape Architect's Chalet Soapstone Wood Stove

In 2004 I got the chance to design my own family's week-end house in the village Pigniu. This fabulous place at 1300 meters above sea in the Surselva Region of Graubünden province, above the Town Ilanz, was well-known to me, for my parents owned an old farmhouse until the 1980ies here. The Spiral shaped chalet has the form of a band, changing from concrete in the base to wooden shingles upwards. The house is designed to connect us to the landscape we love. You will heat with chopped wood.

The idyllic mountain village of Ladir is located on a beautiful sun terrace above the Rhine Valley away from the hustle and noise, near Laax. The apartment is located on the outskirts with unobstructed panoramic views.
