For adventurous travelers who will appreciate the 10-minute panoramic walk to the house (we will transport your luggage and groceries by tractor). The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

You'll enjoy listening to nature, enjoying the cool in the evening on the terrace and looking at the stars. In the morning you will only hear the rooster that sings in the distance, you will be rested to leave for the Ligurian Riviera or some cities such as Genoa, Florence, Pisa, Lucca. A cultural vacation but also the pleasure of being together as we are no longer used to, away from continuous connection. The house enjoys the most beautiful view of the village, a continuous spectacle with breathtaking sunsets.

We invite all those who hoping to relax in the tranquility of the countryside, surrounded by nature. We welcome families and guests who are excited to experience farm life. All our guests are invited to enjoy the farm, collect vegetables, and spend time with the farm animals. We are 40 min from Cinque Terre, Lerici, Portovenere, and Levanto.

The sea at home

"IL MARE IN CASA" apartment is located in Riomaggiore's marina, its a former fisher's household with a wonderful terrace just above the sea, the view is incredible. Very close to shops, cafes and restaurants, but also to the train station and next to the ferry station. The apartment is equipped with every comfort: Wi-Fi, Air conditioning, ceiling fan, microwave, hairdryer, NESPRESSO coffee machine, and much more. All the products are tested and the environment is regularly sanitized.

The accommodation consists of a spacious bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen. To get to the house, you have to climb four flights of stairs. Great as a base for visiting the Cinque Terre, La Spezia, and the Ligurian hinterland. In the village there is a bar and a butcher shop. Our house is a simple and quiet solution.
