The Welsh Gatehouse is a beautiful historic house with modern amenities. Imagine staying in a fairy tale castle built in 1270. The thick walls, ancient windows & steep spiral staircase say 'history'. Romantic log fires keep you warm you in winter, & the thick walls keep you cool in summer. Four Poster Mawddach Suite in Arthog Hall

A peaceful elegant four poster room with stunning views over Mawddach Estuary / views across to Barmouth from your window. We have various private bathrooms which can be used around the Castle. We are located close to Cregennan Lakes which is popular for walking and fishing and we are right next to Arthog Waterfalls. Barmouth is a short drive across the Toll Bridge (80p) (approx 5 miles) away. We have an atrium area where guests can enjoy breakfast which is self serve continental.
