Dan y Coed means 'under the trees'. Our cottage has nestled under the wooded hillside of Tan yr Allt for 200 years. The cottage is on the outskirts of Llanidloes, a 10 minute walk to town. We pride ourselves on guest satisfaction and the cottage is equipped to a high standard. We welcome all people and well behaved pets (downstairs). Come, enjoy the opportunity to walk, cycle, sail, fish or just relax. We are eco friendly in every way possible. Caring for the planet and guests a top priority.

A pretty shepherds hut sleeping 2, plus 2 well behaved pets. It has a kitchenette with hob, microwave/oven, fridge, kettle, toaster & smart TV, there’s shower room has a flushing WC. There is a double bed for an early night after a day in the fresh air. Or slide yourselves into the private wood fired hot tub for a relaxing evening under the stars, with a glass of bubbly. There is complimentary wood for the first heat up of the hot tub ready for your arrival. Further wood can be bought on site.

We’re biker‑friendly, with secure off‑road parking and a central location near shops and places to eat. Parking in our small car park is limited and offered first‑come, first‑served basis. A comfortable, characterful base for exploring mid‑Wales.

Situated 15mins drive from the royal Welsh show ground in Builth, 15mins from Rhayader and the Elan Valley, 15mins from Spa town Llandrindod wells, just over an hour to Aberystwyth and west coast beaches, it is the ideal location! The house sits on the edge of a forestry leading up a hill with stunning views and lots of dog friendly walks/bike rides. Ideal for fishing in the Wye!

Within easy reach of Rhayader, Builth wells and Llandrindod Wells. There is plenty to explore in this beautiful part of Wales. Only a 10 minute drive from the Showground in Llanelwedd. There is plenty of room to park on our private drive and the property is located up a private road.

The bungalow is minutes away from the town centre on foot with easy access to the Royal Welsh Showground. With tasteful decoration and plentiful amenities the property really does feel like home from home. It's the ideal base for enjoying nearby beauty spots (being roughly half way between the Brecon Beacons National Park & the Elan Valley). A maximum of 2 small dogs would be very welcome.
