An independent and unique place to stay, really close to the lovely town of Pau (max 10 minutes) but secluded and peaceful, with 3 hectares of garden and woodland to enjoy. In the beautiful foothills of the Pyrenees, amidst Jurancon vineyards. A cozy barn conversion, 2 bedrooms each with own bathroom, and a woodburner. Private parking, snappy wifi. Great for individuals, couples or small families. All that you need to relax - there is even a gorgeous yoga and meditation studio on site.

Small Béarnaise house, nestled in a haven of greenery for a quiet stay in the countryside of Béarn des Gaves. The cottage is less than 10 minutes from Salies-de-Béarn, its thermal baths and all amenities, or Sauveterre-de-Béarn. Saint Palais, a medieval crossroads on the Chemin de Saint Jacques where the three routes of Puy, Vézelay and Tours converge, is 20 minutes away. The Atlantic coast (Hendaye, Biarritz, Saint Jean de Luz etc.) and the Pyrenees are about 50 minutes by car.

The gite is surrounded by six stunning acres of private grounds made up of lawns, box topiary and cultivated beds bursting with colourful shrubs and pockets of wooded shade. British owners Peter and Tom welcome groups of up to six people. There is also potential to accommodate an additional two guests (plus child) in an adjoining room with private bathroom. This region of France is known as the gastronomic department. The vineyards are many. And they offer tastings. Local produce foie gras, Duck, Croustades to name a few. Our gite is in a small village it’s 5 kms from the town of Plaisance. And 15 kms from Marciac and the largest European Jazz festival.

Gite 10km from Carcassonne in the Montagne Noire

The gite adjoins our house and is situated in a green setting at the foot of the Montagne Noire, just outside a pretty Cathar village. In addition to a large landscaped garden, there is a secure parking space. This 35m2 gîte comprises a lounge, kitchen, shower room and bedroom. The flat has its own entrance leading onto a covered terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue. The gîte stays cool in summer thanks to the vegetation.

My place is close to the exceptional view of the Salses pond, the beach is about 500 m away. For sailing enthusiasts, only a few dozen meters to go. My place is perfect for couples, solo travelers, families (with kids), and four-legged friends. The pool and jacuzzi are unavailable; a prefectural decree does not allow its use. The Eastern Pyrenees are on high drought alert

"Quélébu Grange" cottage / retreat in Couserans

Beautiful gite/retreat situated at 800m in an old stone grange renovated with natural materials. The gite is nestled between pastures and woods with an incredible view of the Pyrenees mountains.
