The Tower

Take an Italian vacation to new heights with a stay at The Tower. Perched dramatically on a cliff on the Amalfi Coast near Maiori, the tower was originally built for defense in the 14th century. Today, it’s been completely renovated into a peaceful two-bedroom retreat with glorious sea views. Larger groups can rent The Tower along with nearby Villa Luisa; together, the two villas can accommodate up to eighteen guests. Despite measuring its age in centuries, The Tower has modern luxuries like a private pool, terraces overlooking the water with hammocks and sunbeds, and outdoor sitting and dining areas. A conference room and exercise room are shared with Villa Luisa, but The Tower has its own television and Wi-Fi in the living room and one bedroom. The services of a cook, housekeeper and butler and use of a golf cart are included in your stay. For a medieval fortification, The Tower has surprisingly open and bright living spaces. The living room is finished in airy tones of white and creamy pale stone and filled with contemporary white sofas and wicker chaise longues. The dining room hints at the building’s history with wooden beamed ceilings and a fireplace, but a glass-topped table, white chairs and sunny sea views make it feel modern. A fully equipped eat-in kitchen has gorgeous stone floors and a backsplash in addition to perks like a dishwasher. The Tower itself has one master bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. The bedroom in the tower is air-conditioned, opens to a rooftop terrace with sea views and has access to an outdoor shower. There are 5 additional bedrooms located in the Annexes. Annex III has two air-conditioned bedrooms, Annex II has an air-conditioned bedroom and en-suite bathroom and Annex I has an air-conditioned bedroom and en-suite bathroom as well. Though The Tower feels peaceful and remote, it’s a 10-minute walk from Villa Luisa and a 5 km drive from the town of Maiori. It’s also easy to visit Minori, just under 7 km away, Antiquarium, 6 km away, and Amalfi, 7 km away. If you’d like to sunbathe or swim, Panorama Beach is 5 km from the villa, Bagni Mar di Cobalto is 10 km away and Bagni d’Arienzo Beach Club is 24 km away. Surrounded by tiered stone terraces, the villa grounds offer a beautiful space for entertaining, whether for a holiday with family and friends, or for a special celebration. The property’s entrance leads to a small garden, or wine garden, the perfect place to share a bottle of your favorite Italian vintage. From here, an outdoor staircase brings you down to the swimming pool on the lowest terrace, with its sun loungers and panoramic sea views. Chef service is included at Villa Oliviero, and the complimentary daily breakfasts are served on the main terrace. Villa Oliviero’s main living areas include a large living room with a fireplace, and several seating areas, with access to the outdoor living spaces. The kitchen is one of the most impressive rooms in the house, equipped with modern appliances on the one side and a traditional Italian style kitchen on the other. After a day exploring or out by the pool, come back to the villa and enjoy an Italian meal prepared by the villa chef! Villa Elizabeth

The sights, sounds and scent of the sea are a feast for the senses at Villa Elizabeth. Perched on the Amalfi Coast near Conca dei Marini, this gorgeous vacation rental offers a spectacular location for an Italian getaway. Reserve its three bedrooms for a holiday with family, an escape with friends or even a sun-kissed honeymoon. Get close to the sea on the villa’s multiple levels of private terraces, which spill down the hillside toward the water. There are lemon trees and vegetable gardens (to whose produce guests are welcome), an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, a seasonal saltwater pool and a swimming deck at the shoreline. Inside, a blue and white color scheme is a nod to the seaside location of this luxury property. The tiled floors were handmade in Vietri and flow throughout both living rooms and the fully equipped kitchen. Both sitting areas have TVs, and Wi-Fi is available in both the indoor and outdoor living areas. The three bedrooms at Villa Elizabeth are divided between two separate “cottage” areas; all three have double beds and sea views. The first cottage has one bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and one with a shared hall bathroom, and the second has a primary suite with a shared hall bathroom and its own terrace. The second cottage also has an additional double bed, if extra accommodations are needed. The villa is set just off the road between Amalfi and Positano, a short distance from the scenic beach at the Fiordo of Furore, making it easy to spend a day exploring both towns and the glorious coastline in between. Villa Luisa is built on three levels: ground floor, upper floor and basement. All rooms enjoy air conditioning and heating. To enter the Villa, you have to walk a small path in the garden which will bring you to the terrace and to the entrance door. The terrace is a beautiful area well equipped with sofas, armchairs, and a table where outdoor dining is possible. The terrace is covered to protect from bad weather and enjoys a beautiful unobstructed view of the sea. Passing through the glass entrance door on the ground floor, you find yourself in the large living room. The area is divided into three open spaces: on one side a sofa and television, in the middle area a sofa facing the sea, while the third zone is the dining area adjacent to the kitchen. The industrial kitchen is equipped with a four range stovetop, grill, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, freezer, wine refrigerator, and meat slicer. The living room and the kitchen are connected by an outdoor dining terrace, perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. A second external area with external electric grill is located off the back of the kitchen. Outdoors, the beautiful, saltwater infinity pool boasts amazing sea-views. The large pool deck enjoys a sun deck and a small covered space with a daybed. The pool leads down several steps to two dressing rooms with four showers and one bathroom.
