Whether you are entertaining in the open living / dining areas or relaxing by the fire, you will have everything you need for a great stay! The property benefits from modern amenities such as: - Wine Fridge - Nespresso Machine - Instant Boiling Water Tap - Bluetooth Speaker - Sky Q (plus sport & movies) in kitchen, lounge and master bedroom. - Cole & Lewis London toiletries - Dishwasher - Outdoor dining - Luxury stone bath - Woodburning Fire - BBQ We have four cosy double bedrooms - two with king size beds. You can choose from two large living spaces or the separate dining room. Enjoy the garden and patio area from the kitchen / living area, opening the large doors to let the outside in! We are available if you need us but we will leave you to enjoy Watling House in peace! The house sits in the quiet village of Bridge, around three miles from historic Canterbury. The village is a great base for country walks in the Kent Downs, with plenty of local pubs for pit stops, or visits into Canterbury for its vibrant nightlife. Bus Services to Canterbury, Dover and the surrounding villages. Train service from Canterbury to London, Dover and Whitstable. Why visit Watling House... - Fantastic walks in an area of outstanding natural beauty - Lots of local amenities on your doorstep - three village pubs, local shop, butchers and a frequent bus service into Canterbury (approx 10 mins). - Close to the historic cathedral city of Canterbury. Visit the Cathedral, Canterbury Tales and the historic city walls. - You can nip up to London on the UK's first highspeed service from Canterbury West (approx 55 mins) or a day trip to France (approx 20 mins from the Port of Dover and the Channel Crossing). We haven't been able to list all of the great things to do in the area but can always tell you more... we would recommend a trip to one of the local Kentish vineyards for some famous English Fizz!

Situated in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with sweeping countryside valley views and many walks, this *premium* cottage offers a relaxing and comfortable stay with all home comforts for two adults. Caution: (We have a Floor Bed upstairs and a Sofa bed downstairs.) With historic pubs all around, Central Canterbury is 10 mins drive away yet you are in the countryside! Get away from London, breathe countryside air, travel to/from the Continent. Dover is only a 30mints.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. A character filled cottage located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Walking distance from the Mermaid Pub, family-run butcher, independent baker and welcoming tea room, as well as other local excellent pubs & The Pig in Bridge. Plenty of walks and cycle routes from the door step. Relax by the wood burning stove, eat at the cottage/pub, take a lovely dog walk and enjoy the peaceful setting. Just over an hour from London, find yourself in the heart of the English countryside with beautiful walks, the coast, and historic towns on your doorstep. Lyminge is five miles from the seaside in Hythe. It has a Chemist, Doctors' surgery, a village store, Chinese restaurant, Indian take-way, a Tea Room - which does very nice breakfasts . There are 2 good pubs nearby - the Gatekeeper in Etchinghill and the Tiger in Stowting. Dogs are welcome - one medium size or two small ones.
