Come enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of the Greater Madawaska area, which encompasses Calabogie, which is 10 minutes down the road, where you and/or your family can enjoy all the water sports imaginable, even if you don’t bring your own toys, you can rent most power machines at Urban Sports to use while visiting. In Winter there’s still a lot of outdoor options like skiing, we are located between the Pakenham hill and calabogie hill.

Warbler’s Roost is on a 14-acre property on Deer Lake, 3785D Eagle Lake Rd which is 20 min west of the small village of South River, just north of Huntsville. It is near many of the forgotten trails network of trails and 40 minutes west of Algonquin Park’s access point 1 (water access only). Warbler’s Roost includes a Country Inn which has six rooms available for daily/weekly rentals with continental breakfast. NB: during the pandemic, we are restricting bookings to one room on each floor.

Because of our unique location we are on a major flight path for northern migrating birds. We are along the sacred Goulais River, which is home to many different fish species all making their way to Lake Superior. This is some of the best fishing in the world. We also offer kayak and canoes to explore the river.
