"Satake Residence" is a small tower-like house built on a corner lot of only 10 tsubo in Nerima Ward, Tokyo. The design was done by architect Kohei Kudo. Kudo gained experience under the world-renowned architectural unit SANAA before going independent in 2017. He is a young architect who is currently working on many projects, including homes and accommodations. Completed in 2021, the Satake Residence won the 2023 Residential Architecture Award and has been featured in various media outlets. It was originally the home of the owner, Satake, but it has now been reborn as a private lodging. You can try staying in an architect's custom home, or you can stay as a base for sightseeing in Tokyo. Opening November 2024. innnn higashinagasaki is a renovated house that is about 50 years old, limited to one group per day. It is conveniently located about 5 minutes from Ikebukuro station, yet you can have a relaxing stay. Even though it was my first time there, it felt nostalgic, and the friendly people in the shopping district made me feel like a local for the day. Located on the 2nd floor of the popular cafe, MIAMIA, at the entrance of the shopping street, a 2-minute walk from Higashi-Nagasaki Station, it is a private rental for an entire floor. There are also plenty of delicious shops and fun places around, in Higashi-Nagasaki, a town where you can see people's faces. Please have a relaxing time at this inn where you can feel the buzz of the city. Also, it is about 15 minutes to Shinjuku and about 30 minutes to Tokyo Station and Ginza Station, making it an ideal base for travel.
