Guest House Agae is a renovated traditional house that can only accommodate one group at a time. It is in a very convenient location, about 550 m (about 7 minutes on foot) to Kumano Kodo and Kinkou Oji, a supermarket (A-COOP), a bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu), and restaurants (Shoji Teahouse and Tororo-ya). The owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, so we will do our best to accommodate your questions and advice about walking the Kumano Kodo, as well as pick-up and drop-off when you need it. Vegetables, blueberries, and fruit trees are grown on nearby farms, and you can experience picking them. “Genki House”, a house near Hongu-Taisha

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)

Kumano Nakahechi "MINE-no-Yado" Mine own house

"MINE-no-Yado" Mine own house is a small Japanese style cottage in Mine village where includes Takijiri-oji, the entrance to the sacred mountains of Kumano. The house is at an elevation of 300m. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Kumano mountains, a wonderful starry night and even sea of clouds.

Tamura sea

Nearby is the trending Kawabutsu River, the shortest in Japan, and Tamano-ura Beach. Mt. Futo is also perfect for a walking course (15 minutes), with a monument to Sato Haruo's song and a view of the Pacific Ocean. It is also designated as an evacuation area. Surfing is also close by.

"Himeno-no-Yado Hime" is a 3-minute walk to the sea, a quiet private space where you can enjoy fishing and the starry sky!
