There is also a washing machine and a bathroom dryer, making it comfortable for stays of 3 nights or longer. Go to different places every day, such as Hakuba, Matsumoto, Narai, Togakushi, Azumino, Omachi, and Hida Takayama, and return to the same inn at night to relax in the sauna. Please use it as a base for a leisurely trip around Nagano. You can come by public transportation, but having a car is more convenient. Free pick-up and drop-off are available from Shinano-Matsukawa Station and Akashina Station. Other pick-up and drop-off services and sightseeing pick-up and drop-off services are available for 2,000-8,000 yen (round trip) depending on the distance, within 2 hours one way. In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Located next to Narai-juku, a post town on the Nakasendo, this historic town has flourished as a production area for Kiso lacquerware since the Edo period.It was built in 1931 in this town, which has been designated a preservation district for traditional buildings and still has many lacquerware shops. Our house is available for one group per day only, without meals, and as a whole house rental.It takes a little while to get here, and there are no supermarkets or convenience stores in this area, but that's why I think this place has a quietness and the casual, rustic beauty of everyday life.I would be delighted if you could stay and live like a local in this wonderful old town, reading, taking walks, enjoying local drinks (sake, wine), and sleeping in and waking up at your leisure. There are no screen doors in the old houses in the valleys between the mountains, so when the weather gets warmer, wildlife may come in.The 95-year-old building is not polished to a high shine down to the last detail.We are preparing to welcome you as clean as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with a big heart. The accommodation fees you all pay are used for building repairs, and I would like to take care of this house for about 20 years first, so that we can pass this wonderful house on to the next generation.

There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely.
