Near the village of Bescheid, in the valley of the small Dhron, lies the historic mill estate "Alte Bäckerei". Our cozy apartments, Backhaus (10 people), Mehlstube (2 people) and Mühlenhaus (9 people) as well as our large communal outdoor area invite you to relax. Our private natural swimming lake is exclusively at our guests disposal. The Alte Bäckerei is the ideal starting point for hikes, bike rides, trips to the Moselle, visits to the cities of Trier, Luxembourg, and much more.

The oasis of peace in the middle of the national park Built in 1794, the house is completely renovated and is located in the middle of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. Our wooden house (on the outskirts) offers tranquility and relaxation on 110 m². The terraces, a large balcony and a beautiful garden guarantee relaxing hours. From here you can start hiking, biking and sightseeing tours. The Hunsrück offers an infinite number of beautiful excursion destinations. The Moselle and Rhine are very close. Trier, Mainz, Koblenz, Cochem, as well as the German gemstone city of Idar-Oberstein, to name just a few examples, are also in the vicinity.

We didn't have the heart to tear down Grandma Hilde's house. So we renovated the house for 1 year and got as much charm as possible. Enjoy your own hideaway with a large sun terrace, the old half-timbered but modern facilities. The house is at the narrowest point of Starkenburg, so that you can enjoy the distant view towards the Mosel river and the beautiful Ahringstal. The holiday home is located about 900 meters from the historic old town of Bernkastel. You can reach it on foot in about 15 minutes via an adjacent footpath/cycle path directly on the Moselle or a forest hiking trail, which is also directly adjacent to the accommodation. In the old town there are numerous restaurants, bakeries, a small grocery store and other shops. In the Kues district you will also find an Edeka, Rewe, Aldi or Lidl.
