The outbuilding has a wood-burning sauna and a sleeping loft with a double bed. (Bath barrel extra charge). Gas grill and wood-fired grill can be found in the yard and you can sit under the lean-to. Warmly welcome to Halssila, Jyväskylä, a distinctive and idyllic residential area! Maple blossom is a hundred-year-old adorable pink little house in our yard. In summer, you can see lush greenery and the branches of the yard maple through the windows, while in winter, the nearby Lake Jyväsjärvi glistens on the horizon. As our guest, you can enjoy peace and quiet in the cosy surroundings of our small house (40 m²). From the motorway, you can reach our property by car in a few minutes; we are 3.5 km from the centre of Jyväskylä.

Villa Löyly offers a peaceful vacation on the shores of Lake Leppävesi, close to Jyväskylä's services. On the cottage's large lawn, you can play ball games or disc golf, for example. A 4-person sauna cottage completed in 2024 along a magnificent rapid. The calming rapids scenery guarantees a relaxing visit to Koskenrannan Helmi. The cottage is well suited for relaxation, fishing or even boating. In the large sauna of the cottage you can admire the flowing water, refreshment is easy in the always open rapids or in the outdoor hot tub. Come unwind in a peaceful and cozy cabin with family, friends, or even a small work team. The cabin is in a quiet location, but still close to the activities and hustle and bustle of Himoksa. The nearest downhill ski slopes are about 3 km away, and the ski resort is about 6 km away. On weekends, you can visit Himos Arena to listen to artists and enjoy the great atmosphere. In the summer, there is a swimming spot about 300 meters away, so it’s easy to go for a morning swim. There’s plenty to do all year round!

Fairy tales on the forest lake

A typical Finnish cottage (55.8 sq.m) was built in 1972 and completely renovated in 2014, preserving the authentic atmosphere. The nearest shop or gas station is 25 kilometers away. We live behind the forest 200 meters from the cottage all year round. The location of the cottage is unique in that, on the one hand, you feel complete freedom and privacy, on the other hand, we are always around and ready to help and communicate if you wish. Our plot and garden are always open to our guests.

Muuratsalo has several nature trails through the forest, with ice age boulders scattered over the hills. Nearby cultural features include Alvar Aalto's experimental house and the town hall on the nearby island of Säynätsalo. Muuratsalo is well connected with the city of Jyväskylä with activities and services all year round.

The cottage is on the lower part of the property by a private beach. You can relax by the fireplace, go to sauna or go swimming into the lake. There is a central heating and an additional fireplace, indoor toilet, shower and sauna. Drinking water from tap. During summer you can relax on hammock or by the outdoor fireplace. Pihakammari (uninhabitable)

Pihakammari (the whole is one room of 16m2) is located close to Alvar Aalto's home and a few of his properties. The sofa bed in the bedroom is 140 cm wide. The kitchen area in the room is equipped with dishes, a coffee maker, a kettle, a microwave, a hob and a fridge. Breakfast supplies are for you, please. A traditional Finnish yard sauna can be rented in the summer, with swimming in the lake. There is no WiFi in the chamber. The unit is a compact one-room apartment of 16 m2.
