The space
Beautiful sights inside and out distinguish Villa Di Corsano. The 18th century villa is set on a secluded piece of land outside Siena and has stunning outdoor spaces and views of the countryside. Inside the three-story, ten-bedroom home, trompe l’oeil paintings give the impression of an indoor garden in spacious rooms large enough for the whole family.
During your stay, spend some time exploring the park in which the villa is set, making your way to the pool, the pool terrace with lounge chairs under a pergola and the outdoor barbecue. The villa’s sunny yellow walls conceal an internal courtyard, which has its own well and a covered loggia perfect for al fresco dining. Though it dates from the 1700s, the building now has Wi-Fi access.
Once you’ve finished seeing the grounds, continue exploring inside Villa Di Corsano. The spacious living room was originally the ballroom and still features fascinating paintings of exotic flora and fauna on its vaulted ceiling. The dining hall can seat twenty, and features original tiled floors, antique furniture, a 16th century marble sink and a huge sit in fireplace. The kitchen is also big enough to serve twenty, and features modern, professional equipment.
The villa has four bedrooms with double beds and en-suite bathrooms; one of them, the master suite, sets an elegant tone with a Murano chandelier and 17th century painting. There are two more bedrooms with double beds; one has a shared bathroom and the other has a double sofa bed and private bathroom. There are also two bedrooms with two twin beds each and en-suite bathrooms, one bedroom with three single beds and an en-suite bathroom, and one bedroom with two twin beds and a shared bathroom.
As its name implies, Villa Di Corsano is 1 km from the town of Di Corsano. Also nearby is the medieval city of Siena, which can be seen in the distance from several of the villa’s bedrooms and is about a 12 km drive away. Pack your suit for a visit to the beach in Follonica, 70 km away, or the shores of Castiglione della Pescaia, 80 km away.
