A vacation home with a garden all to yourself. Our romantic vacation home is located in the middle of nature, on a sunny, forested slope above the small village of Mühlbach. The well-kept garden, enclosed with a hedge, has many nice seating areas. In the garden there is a small pond, two beautiful large sun loungers and a grill. The beautiful view of the village and the beautiful low mountain landscape enchants every guest. One pet is allowed.

Vacation at Gut Sauerburg

Our farm, with our animals—sheep, goats, Muscovy ducks, chickens, cats and our dog Elli—is located just 5 km from the A7/Malsfeld exit, yet in a completely secluded spot in the middle of a nature reserve. You can use and explore our 20,000 m² property. Not far from our farm, you’ll find a unique vantage point. Here with us, the hare and the fox say goodnight to each other. There’s also a trampoline/slide/sandpit/table tennis table, etc.

"To the little folding rule"

Our granny flat "Zum kleinen Zollstock" is small but OHO. It is accessible at ground level. The bathroom offers a floor-level shower in addition to a toilet and sink. Towels and shower gel are provided. The sofa bed can be extended to 1.60 m and invites you to relax with the rotating smart TV. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a fridge, induction stovetop, mini oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle and matching accessories.

Here you will find a beautiful countryside retreat, lovingly furnished and plenty of space to feel good and relax. The apartment is wonderfully suitable for nature lovers and longer stays. The central location allows you to plan day trips by bike, hiking tours, canoe trips on the Fulda River, and visits to the festival right from your doorstep.

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.

Especially around the Nationalpark Kellerwald-Edersee.
