Eight kilometers from the cottage is Robertsfors, where there are grocery stores, cafes and museums. There's also a golf course in Robertsfors.

There is a Coop, petrol station, pizzeria, bathhouse and library within walking distance. By car, you can get to central Skellefteå in about 10-15 minutes.
