Nearby historical and hiking destinations include Rukajärventie, Änäkäinen, jongun river, bear trail, and recreational fishing and hiking area. ask by message for autumn weekends, they are negotiable even if they are initially closed for personal use. There's no chance of running water in frost time.

Alapihan Arboretum guest house with sauna

Cozy guest house and sauna in a wild tree species park. There are about 250 different species of woody trees and shrubs in the two-hectare area. The trees were planted in 1970 and form their own microclimate, where the air is clean and good to breathe. The area is still partly in its natural state and renovation is being done in the area. Beautiful log house on the shore of Lake Pielinen. A quiet location, stunning scenery and good outdoor opportunities best describe this place. In winter, you can access the ski slope from the ice in front of the cottage. In addition, the ski slopes of the Timitra ski resort are within walking distance of the cottage. In the courtyard of the cottage, there are good downhill skiing opportunities, as well as a great setting for winter activities. However, city services are available a few kilometers away.

Laiturille on matkaa noin 30 metriä, joten pulahdus saunasta järveen onnistuu mainiosti! Nurmipihalla on kiinteä valugrilli, lisäksi varustukseen kuuluu Weber-hiiligrilli. Kesäkaudella käytössäsi ovat soutuvene (20 €/vierailu) ja SUP-lauta (maksuton). Helteillä uusi ilmalämpöpumppu pitää mökin viileänä.
