Sheikh House "Living in a historic barn"

More than 20 years ago we bought the Sheikh House, a single house in the beautiful volcanic region of Vogelsberg. In the past, the farmhouse consisted of a dwelling house, a stable and the barn. We both worked in tourism and managed a holiday village for a long time. When we retired, we decided: This is not possible without guests! We have always dreamed of remodeling the old barn of our house – and now was just the right time.

The old coin

The house is over 500 years old, was completely newly renovated in 1994 sustainably and with style-appropriate materials yet also modern. It is a closed courtyard surrounded by old stone walls and lots of plants, great for children and animals. Charming studio apartment in a listed half-timbered house in the historic city center. Quietly located in a side street, you can reach shops, cafes, restaurants and more in a few minutes on foot. Ideal for a relaxing stay with modern comfort and historic charm. Discover the old town right outside the door and enjoy the central but quiet location. A charging station for electric cars is about 80 m from the property.

Basement apartment with separate entrance

The apartment with 25 m² is located in the basement of an apartment building with a separate entrance and is about 5 km from Lauterbach. The living room is friendly and lovingly furnished. The kitchen is small but well equipped. Street parking is free. When the weather is nice, the garden can also be used to relax.
