It is 16 km from Lake Lugano, 12 km from Bellinzona and 25 km from Locarno.

Casa Talamona is one of the oldest medieval mansions inside the old city walls in the nucleus of Sala Capriasca (birthplace of the famous Swiss-Argentina poetess Alfonsina Storni). 50 meters away is the grocery store and the public transport stop that connects Sala to Lugano.
