The backyard boasts a large covered porch with grill, a beautiful pergola with individual swings, and a large covered dock with boat slip as well as covered and uncovered seating areas. The Great Escape is situated in a quiet, private neighborhood and is perfect for a guys' fishing trip, a girls' get together, or any getaway you choose!

Our Place @ Lake Winnsboro

Our Place is a quiet lakefront getaway on Lake Winnsboro that offers excellent fishing, boating, skiing and swimming. Time seems to slow down when you're at Our Place. In downtown Winnsboro you can shop for one-of-a-kind items and antiques, stroll through the cultural arts district, and dine while listening to music in The Bowery. Visit in October for Autumn Trails and celebrate brilliant fall foliage and events such as parades, antique car and tractor shows, pageants and even a trail ride.

NO cleaning fee! The whole Lakefront A-frame getaway with dock and covered parking on paved driveway is just for you. Great get-away cottage for rest and relaxation. Wood County Hotel Occupancy Tax is included in nightly rate. Limited TV stations, No Wi-Fi but a DVD player is attached to the TV! 3 Redboxes within 5 miles of Vildanden. You won't need it. Near vibrant Winnsboro for unique shopping, exemplary dining, live entertainment and the arts.

You and your family can enjoy the beautiful East Texas sunrise and sunset in Emory TX, fish top rated Lake Fork (a public boat ramp is located 3/4 of a mile from our property), watch the deer feeding in the early mornings and evenings, or fish in our pond for Channel Catfish and Bream. You can also visit First Monday Trade Days in nearby Canton. Our home has a 50 amp plug in for EV charging.
