Mökki means “cottage” in Nordic Finnish. Please spend your time as you like in a special space that is detached from your daily routine. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho in northern Nagano Prefecture, blessed with forests, lakes and snow. There are nature-rich sightseeing spots such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi in the vicinity. The building of the pioneering era was renovated fashionably with plenty of natural materials such as pure cedar, cypress and plaster.We also paid attention to the interior and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". In the back of the building, there is a forest with a stream, and you can enjoy a walk in search of the blessings of nature, as well as swing hammocks.In the east house by the river, you can enjoy BBQ and bonfires without worrying about the weather. It is the best location for transportation and sightseeing. It is a 2-minute walk from JR Takayama Station and the bus terminal, and an 8-minute walk to the old town and morning market tourist spots. We have been running a guest house with family and staff here since 2011. In the lounge on the ground floor, you can chat with staff and other guests, exchange travel information, and relax like a homestay. The dormitory is only 3 bunk beds for 6 people. Each bed has curtains, lights, and outlets, and the room has air conditioning and a heater for a comfortable stay.
