A traditional old house designed for comfort. We have created a spacious area with high ceilings where you can relax with a delicious coffee or tea in hand while looking out over the garden. Please relax and unwind in peace. Old houses are generally demolished. However, we have carefully preserved the old parts and lovingly maintained them ourselves in order to make the most of them as an asset, and we are ready to welcome you. There is a spacious Japanese garden and a traditional tea room in the Japanese-style room, so you can experience Japanese culture while living here. On the other hand, the furniture and appliances are easy to use. We are simultaneously pursuing cultural enjoyment and ease of living. There are seasonal trees in the garden, so I think you can enjoy them throughout the year. My hobby is collecting bonsai and traditional Japanese pottery. I hope that while living in this accommodation, you will come into contact with Japanese culture on a daily basis and experience the real Japan. I hope you will take your time and enjoy your stay and the culture in the historic and charming town of Koga, where I was born and raised. In March 2026, we created a new kids' space.

BBQ (bring ingredients) In case of rain, you can enjoy under the gate, open-air bath, barrel sauna (equipped with water bath), karaoke, theater room (game corner), listening to music, etc. The open-air bath allows you to bathe while looking out at the garden. (We buy bathing detergent with hot spring ingredients) I want you to feel tired while relaxing and physically relaxing, giving you a healing bath, and having fun with your friends. Toyo Soen is a spacious and quiet inn

Toeisoen is a garden private lodging facility with a newly built 300-square-meter garden in a rich natural environment 35 km from Tokyo. There is a field in the garden where you can experience farming by growing vegetables and fruit trees, and it is the perfect place for families and groups of friends to have a picnic or a barbecue party. Toeisoen is worth visiting for the nearby Japan's first national forest park, golf course, hot springs, shooting range, children's zoo, peony garden, etc. By the way, Saitama Quest is about 15 km away, about 20 minutes by car, so many people come to Toyoen-soen as a training camp for snowboarders from all over the world who are participating in the Olympic Games. Toeisoen's parking lot can accommodate 6 cars for free. The accommodation offers a comfortable and convenient stay.

The accommodation, "Shitamura no Hanare", is just over an hour's drive from the city, and offers a peaceful landscape in a nature-rich rural area.We named "Shimomura no Hanare" after our family business name. The accommodation can be separated from a compact but private space, and you can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons from the garden room.In this area, cars were not yet popular in the early Showa period, and mainly horses, cows, goats, chickens, etc. were raised and lived in horse shops.There is a renovated horse house on our property, making it a quaint space.The horse house is also a private space for guests.Children are welcome, up to one small dog is ok. In addition, although it is seasonal, you can enjoy shiitake picking, bamboo shooting, strawberry picking, yuzu harvesting, and more.

Welcome to Richard Flavin's Washi House! Richard Flavin (1943–2020) was a Japanese paper artist originally from the US. He studied design in Boston and came to Japan in 1970. He later studied woodblock printing and developed a deep interest in the production of washi. He also cultivated the raw material for washi paper, paper mulberry. We invite those interested in washi paper and art to stay overnight and enjoy this space, reminiscent of a washi paper museum, including these unfinished areas.
