Located in the town next to Narai-juku, Nakasendo's post town, a historic town that has flourished as a region for lacquerware from the Edo period.It was built in 1931 in this town, which has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings and still has lacquerware shops. Our house is available for rent as an entire house, limited to one group per day, without meals.It takes a little time to get around, and there is no supermarket or convenience store in this area, but I think that's why this place has a quietness and a casual, simple beauty to everyday life.It would be nice if you could stay like living in this old town, such as reading, walking, local sake (sake, wine), and sleeping slowly. There are no screen doors in this old house in the valley of the mountains, so in the warm season, wildlife may come in.The 95-year-old building is not polished to a high shine down to the last detail.We are preparing to welcome you as clean as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with a big heart. We use the accommodation fees we receive from guests to repair the building, and I would like to start by taking care of this wonderful house for about 20 years so that it can be passed on to the next generation.

You can relax in a renovated space in a traditional wooden house. A wood stove is available in winter and air conditioning in summer. At night you can see lots of stars and shooting stars. There is a floor space unique to the Japanese-style room, and there is also a space called "ma" designed in the living space, where you can decorate and enjoy seasonal flowers and trees. We can bring you a hot breakfast every morning if you want. You can use the kitchen to cook meals. Cooking utensils and basic seasonings (oil, salt, pepper) are provided. Enjoy BBQ in the garden (barbecue grill, charcoal, rental 1,500 yen) If you'd like authentic Japanese food, we can arrange pick-up and drop-off We can also make reservations. We can introduce you to vegetarian-friendly restaurants. We can also provide pick-up and drop-off service to Tsumago for those who are on the Nakasendo Trail. Please ask me This house was built 60 years ago. It was built using wood cut from the mountain we own. We renovated it with environmentally friendly Benjamin Moore paint. The floor of the entire house is cypress flooring. OSMO natural paint is used in the guest rooms. The walls are finished by artisans.

This is a small, renovated, 100-year-old earthen storehouse in a town in Ina Valley, Nagano Prefecture, where you can see the two Alps. The inn is run by a married couple who run a design office. It is a space where we designed it ourselves, created the parts we could with our own hands, and explored the possibilities of renovating the warehouse while cultivating the power to create our own lives. In winter, heating is provided by a wood-burning stove and solar thermal energy. How about reading in a hammock? There is a construction company office on the premises, as well as a restaurant operated by the company, where you can have lunch. This is an old house built 221 years ago, located in the center of Tsumago-juku. The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely. Equipped with WiFi and an automatic lifting table, teleworking is also possible for long-term stays. Please have a relaxing time in this quiet old house. We look forward to seeing you ！
