This rare modern post war home has a style all its own. Created by Carl Strandlund in Columbus Ohio, it consisted of prefabricated porcelain enamel covered panels inside and out making it durable and easy to clean. Easing the postwar housing shortage and its maintenance free design were its selling points. Great care has been taken to reflect its true character so enjoy the well thought out floor plan and huge yard. Close to Northwestern, Gilson park beach, and downtown Chicago via car or train.

You're welcome to use all the facilities - kitchen, bathrooms, TV, hi-speed Wifi, laundry & parking. Make your breakfast with supplied basics such as cereal, eggs, juice, tea & coffee. Really friendly small Yorkie-poo dog in the home. Meaningful conversation (if you want it).

The Peaceful Suite is located on the 2nd floor at the south end of our home. Our home is nestled in a residential neighborhood, in north Evanston, 1.5 miles west of NU campus, 10 minute walk to NU’s Ryan Field, and a quick jaunt to Central Street’s many fine eateries and boutiques. Sorry but No ADA or wheelchair access. Free permit street parking is available in front of our house. We’ll provide parking permits upon request. Sorry, but the first floor, kitchen and laundry are not included.

We have a King-sized bed in a Common Room. This is in a shared common room space. Up to 3 other guests my be booked in this room. The room has limited storage and NO DOOR. This space is best for those with little to no bags. Breakfast is included in your stay. We keep the pantry stocked with eggs, bacon, milk, orange juice, jam, bread, fruit, pancake mix, coffee and tea. Any of these items can be used to make yourself breakfast in the morning.

Located in the heart of downtown Wilmette, our studio offers a unique stay in a fantastic location. Recently updated with new furniture, kitchen finishes, and design touches! Spacious and within walking distance to all that Wilmette has to offer. This private apartment comes with an outfitted kitchen, cozy lounge area, full stove/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and one uncovered surface parking spot.
