If you come in the winter you will want an all wheel drive vehicle if there is snow on the roads, but half a mile down the hill and you are on the state highway to the finger lakes region.

A magical treehouse perched over its own gorge on Cayuga Lake. This place is special! There’s a giant porch wrapped around a 300-year oak tree and a lakeside tea house that can serve as an extra bedroom. There’s a dock, fire pit, room for yard games by the water, plenty of outdoor seating on the porch, by the lake, or on the dock. All of this is minutes from downtown Ithaca, Cornell, and Taughannock Falls state park. It’s also a great base to explore the Finger Lakes wine region.

Close to restaurants and shopping. Within walking distance to Cayuga Hospital. Five minute drive to the Commons and ten minute drive the Cornell University or Ithaca College. You do have to walk about 50 ft through my grass so if it rains, you might want to bring some old shoes.

We are directly off the Cortland I-81 exit and are 30 minutes to Cornell, Ithaca and Syracuse. We are conveniently located near Greek Peak and other local ski areas. Next door to mountain bike/walking trails at Hickory Ridge preserve. Beddings, towels and cooking gear supplied. Staying at the cabin is like camping, but we try to make it so you do not need to bring any gear.
