Close to Denmark's second-largest forest area - Gribskov - National Royal North Zealand with the beautiful castles and magnificent scenes of nature with lakes, forests and beaches. Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Central location at the station and close to Hundested Harbor's cozy environment with cafes, restaurants, Sand Sculpture Festival, etc. There is a kitchenette where you can make tea/coffee, etc. and a refrigerator for food and beverages. The home has its own toilet. Bathroom can be used on the floor above by appointment. Max 4 people + one child under 3 years* (Beds for 4 and weekend bed*)

The house is secluded from the road, and in the summer when everything has blown out, it feels like being in the middle of the forest. There is a large deck - both covered and not - as well as a fire pit. Brugsen is only 250m away, the beach 1.5km and forest 2km away. There are mattresses, or sofa where any 3rd person can sleep.

But since it is private and there is no big parking lot you'll mostly have the beach to yourself!
