It is about 2 km to the dike edge, 1 km to the baker (Rysum), 11 km to other shopping (Pewsum) or 12 km (Emden) The Tidehuus is a good starting point for extensive bike tours in East Frisia.

The Gulfhof offers you three spacious apartments in the middle of our East Frisian nature. We provide you bikes and boats to explore the beautiful surroundings. Our vacation home is the former general store of this idyllic village. The original store furnishings have been extensively restored. So, we still have a picture of what shopping felt like until the 1980s: there was everything for everyday needs, you could write a letter and find out the latest. Thus, our vacation home is a stony witness to the everyday history of East Frisia.
