In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Opened in August 2020, Onomachi Yard is a one-group-per-day inn located in a renovated 120-year-old white-walled storehouse in the heart of Hida Furukawa. For those who want to enjoy Hida leisurely, for those who want to spend a quiet time, as well as those who want to stretch their legs a little further to Hida Takayama, the World Heritage Shirakawa-go, Okuhida Onsen, Shinhotaka Ropeway, Kanoka-cho, where the world's largest underground neutrino observatory Super Kamiokande is located, and the activity "Gattango!!" that combines cycling and the abandoned railway.etc., please enjoy your favorite style based on Onomachi Yard. Kusa no Niwa is a traditional Japanese-style house with a courtyard and corridors that was built more than 130 years ago. The entire house with a size of 100 square meters will be lent privately to a single group with a maximum capacity of 6 persons. The highlights of festival called YOIMATSURI(宵祭) is started just in front of my house. If you stay my house in this festival, you can enjoy the festival all day, from morning to night!! KURA is Japanese traditional building. We renovated it to stay. You can stay here only one group a day.
