At the foot of Mt. Insect Kura, at an altitude of 800 meters, rice terraces, and tin roofs, there is an old house in a small village with nostalgic scenery right in front of you. It was built in the late Edo period, and it was opened in the early Meiji period.I have relocated since I liked the presence, settlement, and location of the house itself, including the thick pillar, and since then I've built up self renovation.It is constructed using old wood to preserve the historical texture. The floorboards are reuse of chestnut wood and rice shelves laying under the tatami mats.The paved stone from the garden is a Goemon bath, and the warehouse used in Nagaya Gate is reused at the entrance. I only use a fan in summer.On the other hand, I think there is a creaky wind in the winter and it feels very cold, but it is also one of the things that I would like to experience is the creative way to live a little warm, such as a self-built ondol (floor heating) and a Goemon bath. Experience living in an old private house with the host, Amame. We recommend a longer stay where you can surrender to nature and enjoy the simplicity of everyday life. [Hakuba/Wadano] Local Ski Lodge, Twin Bed Room, Shared Bathroom

In the spring, cherry blossoms are in full bloom, in the summer the mountains are covered in fresh greenery, and in the fall the leaves turn colors. In winter, the snowy landscape is beautiful, providing an opportunity to enjoy the scenery in all seasons. The appeal of the facility is not only the beauty of nature, but also the abundance of activities. There are ski resorts, trekking, and mountain bike trails nearby, so you can be active in nature. There is also a hot spring area nearby, where you can heal your tired body. Hutte Nipopo is an old-style Japanese ski lodge that provides visitors with a luxurious time to refresh both body and mind. It will be a great base for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

We're a Dutch couple whose lodge is nestled in the mountains of Madarao in Japan. Our lodge provides capacity for a max of 20 guests divided over 5 units. Our cozy, comfortable space makes for a great base to explore the mountains around the region. During winter, we offer private ski/snowboarding lessons, and side and backcountry guiding. We cater to guests during all other seasons too and offer fine dining experiences during your stay. We aim to create the perfect vacation experience for you!

Chestnut Hut

One group per day mountain homestay at 950m on the slopes of Mt. Hijiri, ideal for hiking. Surrounded by beautiful seasonal nature and mountain views. Breakfast comes with homemade jam, fresh eggs from our chickens, and freshly baked bread loved by guests. We live here with a goat, two dogs, and chickens. Conversation happens naturally if guests wish, and privacy is respected. A peaceful base for exploring Nagano by day and quiet mountain evenings. Optional irori dinner. Station pickup included.

The Alpinist Mount Myoko Outpost

Private luxury large alpine lodge - perfect for families/groups of friends. Exceptional amenities, superb location few minutes walk to gondola, ample parking, bilingual onsite manager, private chef. Minimum charge per night based on season covering up to 8 guests including breakfast. For each additional guest, ¥15,000 per person per night is automatically added by Airbnb for the total price. Minimum stays differ per season. Only registered guests are permitted on the property at any time.
