The historic town of Menai Bridge (porthaethwy)on the Menai strait is full of amazing eateries and beautiful views and the home of Bangor uni's Ocean Sciences. These rooms are situated next to the Auckland Arms pub, well known for its relaxed cosmopolitan atmosphere and fabulous range of spirits, cocktails and beers. Frequented by locals and many visitors alike, some traveling far to 'chill' in this quirky little bar. No food is on offer but you can bring it in, they will even give you a plate!

Lovely en-suite ground floor double room in Bangor

Our house is conveniently situated for anyone wanting to take in the beauty of North Wales. Snowdonia National Park is only a few miles away, Snowdon mountain/railway is about 10 miles drive. Anglesey is just across the Menai Straits (a 20-30 minute walk to the bridge). Llandudno is only a 20 mile drive. Convenient for the A55, railway station, bus stops, University, hospital and the Ferry port at Holyhead. Bangor has many restaurants, bars and is only a 15 minute walk from the house.
